All it took was for Edith to take that second of consideration for the teen to rile up, puffing herself up as best she could. When the reply wasn't a reprimand, Abbi didn't know what to do with all her ready to be unleashed fury and kind of yelled, "Yes ma'am!". She stood there for a second more.
Oh wow, she was really not going to be told not to go after the clone ok THAT WAS AWESOME.Text to Buttchin WHERE R U I'M COMIN TO U BE AT THE LIFE PLCE I'M ON WY With the text sent, however improperly spelled, Abbi started running toward the Life building, where she assumed Jack would be. And, thanks to all her jogging around the Island, she caught back up to Edith pretty quickly. "I'm not disobeying orders I'm just-- yanno-- Finding Jack so we can find the clone!" She called out to the woman as she tried to bring herself fully caught up with her lead.

He slowed to a stop like comet breaching the earth's atmosphere, seeming to carry with him an aura of overprotection barely blanketing the pandemonic emotions and thoughts within--back to crayon scribbles dashing lines over lines until they all blurred into something muddy. Panting, sweating, and bright-eyed, he saw the tears falling and went to grasp her shoulders, the need to touch as instinctive as breathing.
(It was unnatural, the way the urge to destroy instead of comfort fought for attention, the sickness of it boiling up enough that he had to physically swallow it down.)
"Hey, Caly girl," Dawson exhaled, trying to smile, failing and trying and trying some more. "Hey. S'okay now. You can cry if y'need to."

Edith gave a nod and then slowed to open the doors. She briskly led Abbi through the infirmary toward H's office. "I don't want this," she hiccups. "I never wanted any of this and I don't know what to..." Caly trails off, lifting her head to see a figure approaching across the yard. Tall and trim, Simon was unmistakable. Turning her head she looked at Dawson with both relief and betrayal warring across her features.

He didn't say anything at first and let her speak as she was wont, trying as delicately as he could with his still shaking hand to wipe the tears away and the stray hair form her face. But just as he opened his mouth, Caly's gaze turned elsewhere. He followed suit and felt the sunlight fall coldly on him.
"Hey, M-Mr. Simon!" he shouted to the approaching assistant, and it could have sounded just like any other hearty greeting of the trainee's. "Nice day, huh? We'll be with ya in just a sec, we jus' gotta..." For the second time that day, he failed to finish his sentence and instead turned his attention back to Caly.
"I cain' force ya not t'do this." Dawson's voice dropped to almost a whisper. "No-one can. This yer choice, Caly. S'always been yer choice. N' you can choose t'be your own person here, not his." Without noticing, he was cupping her face, trying ot drown out the surroundings. "F'you don' wan' this, then don' take it, sweetheart."

The feeling of being called was like pure chaos running through his veins. s**t was going to go down, and he was nowhere near ready. He hadn't finished the mission. He wasn't sure Chel or anyone would leave with him. He checked his phone with hands shaking from the adrenaline of it all. medigel Text to Bucky Barnes: im sorry dude i can't right now. you should go though. go somewhere off island and relax, man. please. He gripped the edge of a table as her beautiful voice entered his head. He was already moving toward the weapons cove before she'd finished showing him the last image, but doubt nagged at him. You promised I could take her away. Her and me and the real Axten.

She leaned into his hands, her own coming up to cover his. "I don't want to die." In the distance Simon checked his watch. "I don't want to die," Caly repeated calmly and let go. Stepping away from Dawson, she turned toward the Life building and began to run. Moments later, a loud BOOM echoes across the island and the building began to shake. Both clone and intermediate would find themselves trailing behind the Sun assistant who sprinted ahead, knowing Allan would be at the heart of things. She betrayed you. The whispered answer was harsh and immediate, but after several moments, she relented. Bring her back with you, then.
