Who's Who

Junko smiled. "Okay~." She gave his cheek another kiss and then turned her attention down to the list in her hands again, jotting down some quick notes. She fell into a peaceful quiet, her head tilted against Seiji's shoulder while she made adjustments here and there.

"Hmm..I think that's good for now.." She tilted her head back, looking up at Seiji again. "How about I start dinner and we can continue tomorrow?"

"Good~! Go turn it on." Junko let go of him to wait patiently, rocking slightly from heel to toe and back again. She looked down at her shoes, humming and turning her ankle to see them on her foot.

She had to purse her lips to hide her mischievous smile until she was able to speak again sounding as innocently as possible. "So you like my shoes then?"

Priorities

"I've been thinking somewhere warm and tropical." Junko hated being cold, and Seiji loved heat. It seemed the perfect sort of place for them to get away for a little while and celebrate being married.

His hands settled on the small of her back as she shifted to lay on top of him, but they didn't stay still for long. After less than a minute they were moving up and down the soft curves with absent trails of his nails. "Some white, sandy beach at a resort." He grinned. "Maybe somewhere with ocean side caves to explore."

House hunting redux

The moment they walked into the house Seiji knew. He didn't need Junko's tightened grip on his hand, or the wide eyes she turned up to him. He knew.

And he was in perfect agreement. The house they walked into was gorgeous. An old Victorian beauty with high ceilings and wood floors. There were rooms enough for them, for the children they wanted to have, for potential guests or his parents to visit. There was room enough for a studio for her, and place for him to practice his drums without disturbing the whole of the household. It had absolutely everything they had been looking for, and more.

Glowing eyes ticked t the side to look down at her, meeting that excited look, and the corners of his mouth tugged up in surprised delight.

Who's who

Dinner sounded like a fabulous idea.

Dinner always sounded like a fabulous idea to Seiji.

"Mmm, you know I'm not gunna say no to that plan, gorgeous." he grinned down at her, kissing her head.

When we're dancing

He gave her chin a soft brush of his fingertips as he stepped back from her to turn on the music. It was a soft song, one she'd recognize. A certain ballad from a certain old movie they enjoyed watching together.

Then he was turning back to take her hand again, pulling her in close. "I love the shoes."

When We're Dancing

Junko couldn't help but giggle, letting Seiji pull her in and giving his hand a squeeze. "What do you like about them?" She asked with a grin as she settled her other hand on his shoulder and took on her best impression of a 'proper' and 'sophisticated' dance-ready pose. Yes, the most elegant ever.

"I'm ready to dance, my love."

His touches left goosebumps in their wake. She shivered, nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck with a tiny little squeal. "That sounds fun. Ooohhh, what if we found black sand? I hear that's a thing, too. I bet black sand gets really warm." She lifted her head again to settle her chin on his chest. "I like caves~."

She hummed. "I'm still not a very good swimmer though...and it's even harder with all of this.." Junko raised one arm to lift the curtain of hair that was relaxing around them and covering them like a sheet. It was heavy when wet, even when braided, and Junko would like to not drown on their honeymoon...

Junko's free hand settled on her chest over her heart where she could feel it racing. She swallowed hard, finding it difficult to breathe without wanting to cheer. It was so beautiful. Their demon realtor did well not to look too smug as he guided them into the next room, the kitchen. It was everything Junko could ever dream for.

It didn't take them long to finish the first floor, Junko was clearly eager to get to the next floor. "I want to save the basement for last this time. All of the bedrooms are up here. It's listed as five bedrooms, however the previous owners didn't use all of them for their intended purpose. And they treated the attic as another bedroom even though it technically doesn't qualify as one." He shrugged, guiding them up the stairs. As they walked he took time to tell them about the house, about what had been done to it, what various things were made of and how they were done. He stopped at the first room, one that overlooked the front yard. "The smallest of the bedrooms. Good for, say..an office. Or a nursery until the little one gets bigger."

Junko's eyes widened again and she took a deep breath, nearly squeezing Seiji's hand within an inch of its life.

A nursery for their scarelings.

"What don't I like about them?" He gave her hip a little pinch. Little pain in the butt, she was teasing him.

He pulled her into motion again, repeating the steps they'd just practiced, though this time they had the music to help guide their rhythm. Music the boil started humming almost immediately.

"I'm sure we could find a black sand beach." If it existed, and his ghoul wanted to see it, then they would see it. "And I know you like caves," he'd purr, dragging nails up her back as he lifted his head to kiss her.

"You don't have to swim, I'd rather not loose you in the ocean if a riptide catches any of your hair." They could go wading. Any deeper than that and they'd have to figure something out. Maybe a long braid attached to something inflated, keep the weight off her head.

The ghost boil was equally impressed as their realtor lead them throw the ground floor of the second house. It really did look amazing. From the open floor plan and large kitchen, to the garden, to the big backyard. It was beautiful, and everything they had been looking for. He could feel Junko's pulse hammering against his palm as they started up the stairs, and honestly, he couldn't blame her. He, however, was a touch more skeptical. Just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It was too perfect.

Though even as they reached the first floor it was hard to find a single thing wrong with the house.

He didn't want to get his hopes up, but it was really hard not to. Especially when Junko's excitement was leaking all over him. The mention of the word nursery had an especially powerful effect on the ghoul. If he'd been alive the crushing grip on his hand might have hurt.

Junko giggled as she leaned in to return his kiss, her elbows settled at either side of his head and she rest her forehead against his. "I wonder if we can find caves with water in them, since that might have less current than an open ocean, right?" She didn't know how these things worked, really. She was just shooting out ideas.

She fell quiet after that, glowing green eyes gazing fondly into red. Junko smiled, lifting a hand to gently brush the back of her fingers along his cheek and jawline. "I love you~" she whispered, smiling brighter and adding in an excited whisper that could almost be described as a squeal, "we're getting married."

House Hunter redux

The next two bedrooms were identical to each other, so there wasn't much to be concerned about there. The third one was slightly larger than the other three, however. Junko hummed, looking up at Seiji. An office? For whatever reason? They'd find a use for it. Finally they stopped at the master bedroom, the largest of all the bedrooms, naturally. The realtor stepped back to let Junko step away from Seiji and into the room, the tap of her heels on the wooden floor echoing off the barren walls. The windows were large and they overlooked the backyard. She squealed quietly, bouncing a bit.

It was when they reached the door for the attic that they stopped. The demon had his hand on the doorknob. "The attic is finished, however the previous owners would like to extend their apologies. They're reapers, you see. One of them is a witch, the other is a grim." He opened the door and started going up the stairs first. "Just before moving out one of her potions went a bit..awry. So the attic is, unfortunately, a mess. However, it's all easy fixed. Some patching up, some paint, they've already replaced the window and fixed the floors." Junko blinked. What. "It's easily something that can be brought up when discussing offers. They fixed what they were able to, but they unfortunately couldn't get to everything."

They stopped at the top of the stairs and Junko blinked again. "It could be worse..." She had been expecting a disaster zone, really. There were parts of the walls that looked as if they had been eaten away by something, and the window off to one side did indeed look brand new. And the floors didn't match the rest of the house.

"And no, there is no structural damage. It's entirely cosmetic, they checked."

Junko tilted her head, looking at Seiji. "I could live with this. It's just an attic, we could just not use it until we're able to fix it all." Seemed reasonable enough. The demon nodded, leading them back down the stairs again.

"Next will be the basement, which I believe was your dealbreaker in the last house, yes?" He grinned a too-wide grin, clearly proud of himself for whatever reason. "I think you'll like this."

The attic wasn't idle, but as Junko said upon arrival, it certainly could have been worse. A little patching, a little paint, and Seiji doubted anyone would be able to tell anything had ever gone amiss in this room. It would also give them an excuse to finish it sooner, rather than later. Though probably not until after the wedding, for sure. In addition, their realtor was right, it would place the ball in their court when it came to haggling over a price.

Again, Seiji kept quiet, letting Junko do the talking because she knew what they both wanted, and she was considerably more picky with where they ended up living. The ghost had his own wants and desires, but so long as he had her, he would be happy. She had the eye for their future needs. He trusted the ghoul in this.

When she looked up at him he'd meet those pretty green eyes with a smile. "It's not a deal breaker for me. It wouldn't take much work at all to get it all fixed up, and there is plenty of room aside from the attic we can use in the meantime."

At the mention of the basement the boil fell quiet again, brows giving a bounce down at the ghoul before he'd take her hand and head for the stairs again.

"Now the basement is finished. It's actually two rooms, the previous owners used the majority of it for their scarelings to have a place to entertain without parental interference." The door to the basement was near the main entrance, very easily accessible. He opened the door, allowing Junko and Seiji to enter first. There was a lightswitch next to the door, allowing them to make their way down the stairs that curved in a slight spiral into the basement. Junko's eyes widened.

"Is this..the entire size of the house?" She asked, shocked.

"Not entirely, but mostly. Now, before we get into this there's something I want to show you." He gestured for the young couple to follow him to a door in a wall near the stairs. A closet? "They don't use this much, in fact I think right now there is a bush covering it." Junko's brow furrowed. A..bush? "However..!" He opened the door, revealing stairs that led up. Junko had to stop herself from gasping. "Access to outside. I'll show you where the door is when we go back outside. What do you think?"

"I..that's wonderful!" She laughed. "I hope it looks okay from outside. It's not one of those slanted, climb down into the cellar-type doors is it?" The realtor shook his head. Junko smiled and bit down on her lip as she looked up at Seiji. "Let's look around." And talk while we do.

Seiji was impressed, to say the least. He was dead silent as they walked through the basement, eyes bright, brows up, and lips apparently caught in a permanent smirk. It was wonderful. No, it was perfect. This house was proving to be absolutely perfect for them, even with the damaged attic.

Hishand tightened on Junko's before he was drawing it up to brush lips across the back of her knuckles, then, softly, murmured into her soft skin. "I think we might have found it, gorgeous." If the backyard was anywhere near as nice as the front, Seiji was sold.

Of course, this wasn't just Seiji's choice. Junko had to agree as well, but he could already tell his ghoul was being won over.

He drew her away from the realtor gently, on the premise of wanding a bit to look around, and when they were far enough out of ear shot he'd bend, speaking softly near her ear. "What do you think, J?"

Junko waited until they were away and his words were spoken against her hands. She squeezed Seiji's hands, her heart racing and that smile she had been trying to hold back finally being revealed fully for her fiance.

"<I love it,>" she whispered excitedly, eyes wide. "" They didn't even know the price yet. But prices were negotiable, right? And the attic and only half-finished basement would bring it down, whatever it was..right? "perfect.>"
