"The merest shade of me..." Lusha's death was assured as the smoke cleared and her unconscious body lay before Hideki. Moving in for the kill after a series of hand-signs, his hand electrified in a bright lightning ball of spirit energy. "Lighting Style: Thousand Chirping Birds!!", he yelled as he rushed forward, impaling his hand through her chest, through her heart, and out the other side, leaving her to crackle and sear under the weight of his assassination technique before he withdrew his hand and slung it to the side, sending her blood splattering in a vicious arc across the ground before he kicked her lifeless corpse in the head ruthlessly. "Next time... Show some respect to your elders, pup.", he growled before he took her corpse with him...dragging her by her hair through the halls, leaving a blood trail before they reached the main entrance of the Castle Redbrook...were he nonchalantly tossed the cadaver outside and down the steps like a bag of refuse. "That's that...Time to go into town now that I've had a work out.", he yawned in a bored manner before dashing off to go investigate the major explosion of spirit power that had gone off in the Residential District, his old stomping grounds. "...is enough to defeat you." Sorfildor Soria Sorfildor, with her bount doll Soria shows up at the castle traveling up the steps which she noticed there was blood spots on the steps it seems but no body was here at all. Sorfildor had no comment in her thoughts at the moment until she had reached a blood trail that seemed to be pretty fresh like it was done some point which was from a room with the door wide open. Sorfildor couldn't believe a killing had happened here and nobody hasn't investigated this. Sorfildor has Soria motioning with her right metal hand to check it out as Sorfildor goes down to a training area with Soria communicating with her mental link "Well the room is very well a mess, somebody was fighting someone but don't know who's blood is in here." Soria spoke mentally as she looked around a bit in the room of a past battle that had happened. Whoever was that had victory didn't clean up their left overs which to Soria was highly not cool and could of treated the Castle a bit better then turning it into a killing ground. Soria cleans up the mess a bit and got the room back in order as if no battle had happened. Soria goes back to Sorfildor "Well, somebody didn't clean up the "mess" they had left behind, i took care of it unlike them." Sorfildor turns to Soria and speaks mentally "Don't worry about it, whoever it was is gone now so there is no point of investigating one instance of this, if it occur on a daily basis of someone being killed day to day, then we would track down who is doing this. Besides, the blood wasn't extremely fresh, it was just fresh." Sorfildor understands Soria wanting to take care of their home but investigating a possible murder that clearly may have happened one time is not a daily thing it appears. "Now Soria, we must get back to the task at hand, we came here for training not to investigate murder, got it?" Soria shaking off her thoughts about the berserker of a kill that happened in one room of the castle and mentally says "Ok, so what are we going to do?" Sorfildor goes to a table to with her mechnical feet of hers scuffing the dust of the ground as she walked with clanks picking up a old text book. The book itself written "Sacred Text Of The Bounts", it contained all the knowledge of one elder that had recorded all the tradition of new bounts learning their powers. Sorfildor then turns to Soria with the book gripped by her metal right hand as with her left hand goes through the pages and mentally speaks to Soria "Here is a ability called Black Flight, it will allow us to travel through shadows or so project them so that we could move very quickly." Soria thinks about the word Black Flight, it sounded like a dark name to her but with the description or intel on what the ability does, it literally is just that. Sorfildor then mentally speaks "Ok Soria, i want you to try to speed yourself up using your spirit energy, and project yourself into that shadow." Soria nods with the command as she digs deep into her spiritual energy as she in a quick flash hops through a shadow shifting through it very quickly. Soria practices Black Flight as she projects herself not just along walls but going up walls as well traveling up higher heights. "Mistress, please do this with me, it feels and looks so much fun to do." Sorfildor smiles as she places down the book and projects herself up the wall but moves faster then her doll as they go up the walls; and back down getting to know how the technique works. "Oh dang it, you are faster then me Mistress, was it because of the bond that made you stronger a bit?" Soria mentally thought to Sorfildor as she watches her move through the shadows as if she had done it before. Sorfildor smiles a bit "Well, i am not sure but that shard did make me more powerful then before. Though my question is, why and how did these pillars appear?" Soria thought the same too as her mistress positioned herself with her right arm underneath her left arm as she had her left hand holding her head up. There was quite the anomely behind all this, it was quite the look of the pillar that first made Sorfildor want to avoid it. Soria though being curious as she is, she had no idea the pillar would appear so much trouble as she had seen her mistress show. Soria though thought about the crater that lies back in town where most mortals lived in, she didn't know the number of the population but she predicted that most of the mortals have been blown away with the pillar's inevitable self destruction. However, Soria felt hope in herself as well due to not just being connected to Sorfildor through spirit but also realizing Sorfildor is not going to give up about looking for survivors. They continued more of the Black Flight training until they got to the point where they clashed with each other and laughed. They realized the mastered the technique due to them able to head butt each other in the end. Sorfildor looked over the technique a bit more as the glyph that were written in the book was very ancient, pertaining to previous elderly bounts that were here before them. The training through had led them to mastering the ability of using Black Flight projecting through the shadows and granting them a way of surprising their foe. 952 words + 1,160 words from last post page 8 of Resident District World Of The Living= 2,112 words Learned Black Flight 500/500

Sorfildor Soria "Soria, its about time we get back now, the district in town is not going to repair itself after all. Soria do you remember my parents, how they raised me?" Sorfildor mentally spoke to Soria and which Soria nods to the question as Soria looks back to Sorfildor her mistress. "Yes your parents, they fought for you; well and hard they have done so and even for the sake of the town you were born in. Mistress, as your doll; i know your parents have trusted me to protect you, even along the way i have failed you in combat. Regardless, you always smiled at me and told me its alright; my question is why do you believe in me so much?" Sorfildor wish she could laugh about that question but regardless the laugh was done mentally and shared with Soria. "Soria, what a silly question you asked me just now, but to put it very simple for you. Ill present this question to you right back, How can a bount simply fly on their own without their trust in the partner they have summoned in the past? If a bount had tried to do that, they are simply in arrogant nature and don't realize the true potential of such a bond between a doll and its master. Soria, my trust is in you and always will be no matter how many times you fail me. We get stronger by fighting together and we are a combat duo after all." Sorfildor spoke her words mentally with Soria as its the only way and in return Soria begins to cry happy to hear her master trust her so much not even failure will disturb the bond between them. Soria speaks mentally back to Sorfildor "Mistress..." Soria said it mentally happy as she runs to Sorfildor hugging her and Sorfildor smiles hugging Soria right back. Sorfildor wipes the happy tears away from Soria's face and says "Come on now, there is no time for tears, you can feel the bond between us. That speaks louder then the words we even share. Now its time to leave, we have alot of rebuilding to do." Sorfildor thought to Soria as she smiles nodding which she lingers right behind Sorfildor. [Exit to Residential District]

Evangeline arrived at the Castle Redbrook not long after her Orichie. Being the wonderful gentleman he was, he would open the door for her. The young woman would give him a quick nod. "Thank you." she would reply gratefully. The castle was well kept. After all, uncleanliness was practically a sin in her eyes. Orichie would request that both her, and their guest make way to the dining hall for tea and snacks. "Sounds perfect." she would say with a slight coo. After their hard day of work at the residential district, a relaxing tea time would simply hit the spot. The young woman would follow her new butler into the dinning hall, and find a seat. "Could you please make us some chamomile tea." she reply making a request. Chamomile was an herb with proprieties of relaxation. It also helped with sleep troubles. While Eva was not looking for a nap, she desperately needed the relaxation. Perhaps it would even dull the stress from the day.

Evangeline would smile once Orichi brought her the snacks and refreshment that she had requested. "Thank you." she would reply before taking a sip of the hot tea. "It is delicious." It was then that Eva would scan the room. There was not a single sound that was out of place. Were they not followed by another? "Where is our guest?" she would ask her butler. Of course she did not mind the peace and quiet, in fact she preferred it. It was just that they were expecting the follower. Nevertheless she would continue enjoying the tea time. "How do you think the residential district is faring now?" she would attempt at striking up conversation. It was easier to speak since it was only the two of them, and they could share their thoughts freely.

Alrick D. Daman xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx↪ Theme: Toccata And FugueAlrick had swept Corinna up within his cloak as she fell. Enveloped within his dark wings, she had time to stand and dust herself off before the man embraced her. His arm wrapped around her waist, holding to his body as his mouth hovered over her neck. Fangs glittered in the shadow of his coat and his red, burning eyes pierced the inky veil as he peered out towards Hayate and his sister-in-law. A hiss escaped his throat as he exhaled, the hot breath like whisping through the air as his canines pressed into delicate flesh. A hot liquid flooded his throat as the cloak pulled tighter around the two of them. With a strong gust of wind, they were reduced to mist and carried on the breeze towards a red, foreboding castle. Alrick's eyes would snap open and be greeted by nothing but darkness. He could feel Corinna's presence nearby, the soft sound of her breathing comforting him in the tight quarters and musty darkness. She felt like she was burning up, like her body was on fire. In reality, he was freezing cold. The fire, the infection inside of him, was burning cold. A dimly lit candle, wavering. Slowly he reached forward and pushed his hand on the solid surface in front of him and felt it give way. His fingers brushed satin as a lid slid away. The creak of old hinges filled their world and he kept pushing, even as old webs stretched and dust fell upon them. This was his coffin, he realized. This was what he would be buried in, should he ever die. A shudder ran down his spine and he held Corinna closer as the lid fell away and the light of a single lantern greeted their unadjusted eyes. They were in the cellar of Castle Redbrook. word count: 457

Corinna would think little about Alrick wrapping her up in his cloak. However once he would wrap his arms around her waist it was a little different. Instincts begged her to break free, that he shouldn't be so close. Instead as his lips moved to her neck, she would tilt her head exposing herself more for him. Feeling his hot breath upon her neck was alluring and seductive. Was he going to kiss her neck? Her eyes would widen as instead of something more sensual, she was greeted with piercing fangs. Did he seriously just bite her?! She had little time to contemplate the events that were happening so quickly, as the pair were swept away elsewhere. The young woman would return to her senses within a pitch black enclosed space. There was little room to move. Even worse it felt difficult to breath. Her hand would reach for Alrick's cloak, and grasp it firmly into her fist. This time she gave little care for being so close to him as fear would overtake her mind. Where were they in some sort of box? As the creaking noise would fill the box, she would grasp Alrick's cloak with her second hand. Whatever small space remained between the two of them would close, as she practically pushed herself into him. The damn noise was probably so loud because of the space they were in, and how quiet it was around them. Once the lid to the box was gone, where she was would become clearer. A single lantern would offer its light to illuminate their surroundings. it wasn't a box at all, but a coffin. With haste she would attempt to get out of the coffin. It did not matter how awkward or clumsy it was to remove herself within the cramped space, she would persist. Once out of the terrifying place, she would compose herself quickly. Staying close to the lantern and dusting her self off once more she would attempt to put on a mask of indifference. Appearances were everything after all.

Alrick D. Daman xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx↪ Theme: Toccata And FugueAlrick stepped slowly out of the coffin, the sole of his boot clacking against the cold, stony floor. He could smell the mildew that clung to the earthen floor and the brick foundation. As well as the acrid, sweet scent of aged wine. Yes, the cellar of Castle Redbrook was a winery and each of the walls were lined with oaken casks. The coffin they climbed out of was not the only one that lined the back wall. There were several others, but they were all sealed tight. However, the one that they emerged from was the only one carved from blackwood (imported at no small expense from Africa). The inside was lined with red satin, and the wood was inlaid with silver. He turned his head to look at Corinna, for the first time ever, without his mask. Those piercing red eyes were the same as ever, but his face was surprisingly young and free of complexion. Not surprisingly, his skin was especially pale. He flashed her his sharp fangs, the pointed canines reflecting red in the lantern. The mask that normally hid his countenance was shattered during the fight. A regrettable loss, but a minor one. "Ah sweet Corinna.." His voice rumbled, like a big-cat purring softly. "..Did you not enjoy our embrace?" He asked, placing his hands on her shoulders, having noticed her apparent revulsion. A slight pang stabbed his breast as he thought of her rejecting him, but their marriage was for convenience not pleasure. His slight discomfort would quickly pass. He forced himself to not let it bother him. word count: 853

It would take a series of deep breaths to return Corinna to a more comfortable state. Although seeing the multiple coffins within the room was terrifying. It was as if she had awakened it some sort of nightmare. Alrick would step out of the coffin not long after she had scrambled out of there. What was that? His mask was gone? The young woman was eager to see his face for the first time. She tried to get a good look at him while still attempting not to stare. It was then that he would flash his fangs still tipped with her blood. Now she knew that he had some bount blood within him, she just did not expect it to be so prominent. Corrina would start to cross her arms, but instead she unconsciously moved to where Alrick had bitten her. "I don't recall giving you permission to bite me." she was quick to scold him after being reminded of the events at the falls. It was personal, invasive, and she wasn't sure how she felt about it. It was then that Alrick would place his hands on her shoulders, and tease her? She couldn't tell if he was teasing her about getting the hell out of that coffin or not. Did he not notice how she was attempting to receive comfort from him while trapped? If this response was a legitimate concern, perhaps it was best if she used it to her advantage. It was difficult to respond to such a direct question. If she replied truthfully, then she admitted a fear. The other response was cruel and out of the question. "Its difficult to tell, don't you think the atmosphere is off?" she would hesitantly reply. Being closer to him, she could see him better and quite frankly he was attractive. A blush would cross her cheeks, she could feel the heat in her cheeks. Immediately she would avert her eyes, the nervous feeling was just too much.

Alrick D. Daman xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx↪ Theme: Toccata And FugueAlrick smiled. It was an expression that spread to his eyes. He wrapped an arm around her as she let him know her discontent she was with the situation. "I apologize dear. In the future I wont bite you.." He spoke softly, his voice a familiar timbre as he carefully slid his hand to the nape of her neck and gently rubbed his fingers on her bare flesh. "..unless you ask of course." He purred in response. His red eyes probed her face for an emotional response as he spoke and as she responded. He wasn't quite sure what he was seeing in her rosy hues, but he was certain she wasn't comfortable with him anymore. At least, not at ease. Slowly he lifted his arm off of her and pulled his hood back until it rested against the back of his shoulders. Black, feathery hair was exposed to the dim light of the cellar's lantern only slightly trimmed and left wild. His pale skin was completely exposed to the yellowish light, with two red helix marks descending from the bottoms of both of his crimson, predatory eyes. A long exhale escaped between his lips, smoky breath billowing in the chilly air of the dank basement. "Sorry. Lets get out of here.." His voice was less lilting this time, a gruff monotone as he walked ahead of her offering a hand to guide her through the darkness. Slowly he would walk up the stairs, careful to make sure that Corinna would not slip and fall behind him. He remained silent as they walked up the flight of cold, stone steps. He was lost in his own thoughts. Foolish Alrick, your vain attempts at humor have only put her off, he thought to himself as he trudged up the several flights. They passed several oaken doors, some with large bars laid across them, as they walked. The long walk was only punctuated by the sound of his heavy-duty boots against the granite floor. He would occasionally stop to look down a hallway, barred by grating (perhaps to keep someone out...or something in), or to run his hand over the carefully chiseled walls. word count: 1394

Corinna enjoyed the little bit of affection she received concerning the bite on her neck. Though she played it a little indifferently at first. Once he grinned as replied that he would only bite her again if she requested, Corinna would let out a quick playful breath of air. "Not happening." she would tease back. However once she attempted to wiggle her way out of being honest with Alrick about the whole coffin situation, it would backfire on her. She may have not expected it to work out smoothly, but it was more painful then she expected. Corinna would allow him to take her hand, and lead her out of the nightmare cellar. Once they were out she take a few deep breaths, while still keeping up with Alrick. From time to time she would look around at her surroundings. Where were they anyway? Luckily it did seem like her future husband knew where they were. Her mind was still filled with the thoughts of what had happened. Should she just open up? They were going to be married, and she did think of him as a partner already. It was possible he felt the same way. Isn't that what they did, even each others weaknesses out? At some point she would give his hand a quick squeeze before letting go. "Look its not you." she would speak up suddenly. She stopped walking and she was hoping he would to. "I'm ridiculously afraid of enclosed spaces so I was panicking back there." The young woman would cross her arms over her chest as if trying to comfort herself. "I just don't like talking about it."

Alrick D. Daman xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx↪ Theme: Toccata And FugueAlrick trudged on, taking a turn down a long, dark corridor. As he was about to enter the near pitch blackness he would feel Corinna's hand squeeze his own through the padded gloves he was wearing. The tall man would pause, stopping and standing there silently. It was in this long silence that the sound of dripping water farther down the hall would pervade their hearing. The smell of still drink filled the shadowy hall as Alrick's eyes adjusted to the light. He turned to look at her slowly as she spoke. 'Its not you.", oh here we go. Those three words couldn't be any more cliche. He smirked, waiting for the pain. But, instead of letting him know how upset she was with him; Corinna actually admitted how she was feeling. That she was afraid of dark, enclosed spaces. Ah, hence her panic. Now he understood. It wasn't him, it hadn't been him, that had scared her. Something had left deep scars on her psyche, leaving her afraid of enclosed spaces. Perhaps it had something to do with the confinement Corinna's sister had spoke of. He would not pry, instead a hand would be placed upon her head. A large, calloused hand (stripped of its glove) would pull her into his muscular chest. "You don't have to talk about it." He'd say as he stroked her hair. "Come. We need to go deeper." Alrick would lean down, practically kneeling to match her height as he cupped her chin between his thumb and forefinger before bringing her in for a soft kiss. "I wont allow harm to come to you." He would whisper, placing his forehead against hers.
