Kevin listened, interested about her home, as he ate. When she finished he nodded. "A more utopian society." he said with a nod. "As we all wish we could have." he said. He looked around and then nodded. "Yeah moving in always takes a lot out of me too." he admitted. "Just make sure you get up on time tomorrow." he said with a hint of laughter. "I was late on my first day of class and I never heard the end of it. The professor still gives me dirty looks." he said with a laugh. The professor ended up really liking him, but still liked to tease him about the incident. He hated being interrupted in the middle of his welcoming speech. Kevin looked around, noticing a girl he had taken on a date coming over. "Oh boy.. she's.." he watched her come over and then she stopped looked at him and turned and left. Kevin let out a breath. "I took her on one date and she went crazy." he said. Willow looked at him and took back her tray when he handed it to her and started to eat it slowly, not really wanting to eat but sensing that he wanted her to. "Well I know." she whispered. "I just.. I thought I would have a bunch of friends.. my roommate doesn't even really seem to like me. She seems very nice." she said softly. "She just didn't seem like she was comfortable." she said. Sighing softly she ate some more and then pushed the tray aside. There had been to much food on the tray. When she was training and sitting in class everyday she would need more food, but not today, not right now. Sighing she looked at him, her eyes going over him slowly, taking him in. Why was he the only one that was nice to her? "If... did you think I was strange?" she asked him. "Why do you even talk to me anyway?" she asked softly.

Elsbeth shook her head, knowing she would wake up on time. "I've been waking up early my whole life. I'll be fine." She knew her humor was probably lacking, but that wasn't a big deal. Right? When the girl started to come over she looked at her, not sure what the issue was. Then Kevin explained it to her. So the girl was a crazed ex. "Why did she turn around? I thought she'd come over and say something to you. Isn't that what a crazy ex would do?" She finished eating what she could and then pushed her tray to the side, looking at everyone else. There was a boy bullying some other kids, and that made her frown. What was wrong with people? A girl started to cry, and that was all she could take. "I'll be right back." Elsbeth stood up and headed to put her tray back. On the way she "ran" into the bully. "You will stop." The boy was able to see her true face, and his face went white for a moment. He ran out before too long, only him seeing her real face. "Maybe she's nervous about being here. Just give it a chance." When Willow asked him why he talked to her Adam thought for a moment. "Well...I don't think you're strange. I talk to you for many reasons. One is that I do feel some connection to you. Another reason is that I think you're beautiful. You make me feel like I'm not a freak. You were so willing to talk to me so...I guess you made me feel like I'm not a freak." Adam looked up at the sky, seeing it get darker out. "Why don't I walk you back to your room. I'll even take your tray back for you." He didn't want her feeling like she had to go in front of all of those other students. It was clear that she was under a lot of stress right now.

Kevin listened to her and nodded. It would make sense she was always up early, never being allowed to sleep in. Then again she probably never slept well anyway, always worrying about why she was different. He honestly wondered the same thing himself. There was something special about her, but he just wasn't sure what it was yet. He would try and find out for her however. When she stood and walked over with force to the school bully, who was already in on his antics this year, he stood, following her, worried about keeping her safe. When the boy turned and ran he made a face of approval and nodded. "Come on.. dinner is almost over. Let me walk you back to your room." he said. He smiled at her and then thought. "And.. I know this is a favor but.. try and be nice to Willow.. she's like you. To powerful and sometimes can't control herself. Everyone back home treats her like a freak. You guys would probably get along really well." he said simply. "Just give her a chance." he said as they walked. Willow looked up at him and nodded, giving him a soft smile when he said she didn't make him feel like a freak. "I'm glad.. it's not a good feeling." she sai dlightly. She smiled and then walked with him, wanting to get back to her room and get ready for bed. Looking around she sighed softly and then looked up at him when she got to her room. "Thanks." she whispered. "Maybe I'll see you tomorrow." she said lightly. Giving him a wave she smirked and then opened her door and went inside, watching him as she closed it. Once behind the door she let out a soft smile and then shook her head. Go figure, a vampire would be the man who made her feel normal, who made her feel like she wasn't some strange failure of a witch. He just thought she was special, which she was. Just like he was, and everyone was in their own right.

Elsbeth walked with Kevin, listening to him talk about Willow. "It's not that I don't want to give her a chance. It's that...well,there's a lot going on right now." When they got to her room she said good bye to him, going in right away. She wanted to get to bed and put today behind her. Inside, she saw Willow. What was she to say to this girl? Instead of saying anything, she grabbed her pajamas and changed into them. She had never had a problem with changing in front of others. It wasn't a part of her. Once her teeth were brushed and she was in bed, Elsbeth spoke to Willow. "It's not you, okay? I just have some things I'm working through." Hopefully the girl would believe her. Turning onto her side allowed her to fall asleep quickly. In the morning she woke up early to shower and get dressed. She put on some black yoga pants and a green t-shirt, knowing that at least one of her classes would require her to move around. She braided her hair and and then headed down to breakfast. Adam smiled at Willow gently, glad she seemed better. "Maybe you will. Sleep well." He turned and left, heading to his room. It was nice to have a single room. That meant he didn't need to worry about a room mate bugging him. He got ready for bed and fell asleep quickly, not really even needing the sleep. Still, it would pass the time. In the morning, he got dressed in jeans and a black t-shirt. He never wore really fancy things, and he would probably never change that. He want back to the tree, sitting under it to read more. Yes, Willow had the chance to see him when she looked out the window, but he also liked this spot. It was relaxing, and not many students had their curtains open right now. It meant he had privacy.

Willow looked over at the girl, wondering why she had said that. It made her feel better though. She was just dealing with things too. It was nice to know she wasn't trying to leave her out on purpose. The thought brought a smile to her face as she quickly changed and then snuggled into the bed and went to sleep. The next morning the sound of the shower woke her. Sitting up in bed she looked around and then went over to her wardrobe and picked out an outfit for the day. It was a pair of black yoga pants, with a cute workout dress to go over it. She knew she wanted to be comfortable today, not wanting to wear something not appropriate to classes. Once Elsbeth left Willow went over to the windows and stretched, wanting to let in the morning light. Throwing open the curtains and the window she closed her eyes and took in a deep calming breath. She smiled as she watched the sunrise, and then happened to glance down and smiled. She knocked on the window, knowing he would hear. When he looked up at her she waved, and then remember her hair was a mess. She reached up and blushed deeply when she realized it was in a mess around her head, all sticking out at odd ends and angles. Blushing she waved and then rushed away from the window, not wanting him to see her hair so silly. Kevin woke the next morning, having slept well the night before. It was nice because he was comfortable with his room, comfortable with his space to call his own. If he didn't think she would take it the wrong way, he would offer Elsbeth that she could come and stay with him some nights when she needed time to think. Then again, he wanted her staying with Willow, convinced they would be good for one another. Laughing he shook his head as he realized he was thinking about her before he even got out of bed. Walking to his bathroom he showered and dressed, a simple pair of blue jeans and a black t-shirt. Closing his door to his room he headed down to the optional breakfast for students. Sometimes he ate here, sometimes he kept dry breakfast foods in his room with him. It all just depended on his mood, that and he hadn't had a chance to get his parents to send him a shipment of food yet.

Adam felt at total peace as he read. It was like he wasn't a part of this world when he read. The knock at the door made him look up, seeing Willow at the window. Her hair only made her look more adorable. After a little chuckle he waved, not minding seeing her like this. Maybe he'd go up and see her. Then he could walk her to breakfast. That sounded good. He got up and slowly made his way to her room, having the idea that she hadn't showered yet. He would just wait outside her door. That's exactly what he did. He read his book as he leaned against the wall, patiently waiting. It would be nice to surprise her this morning. Maybe she would want to take her breakfast outside again. Then he could talk to her as she ate. He didn't like going into the cafeteria because the people there were rude. They stared too much. Plus, he had no need to go in there and eat. Elsbeth had gotten breakfast and was sitting alone. She was pushing her oatmeal around, not really eating it. Her mind was thinking about all of the classes she had today. She had finally gotten her schedule, and she hoped she would do well in all her classes. A messenger came in with letter for her, another one from her dad. She opened it up and started to read it. It was about her mother. How they had met. Well, this should be interesting. They had met at this school. Why had her father gone here? She continued to read, seeing that her father had actually been here to train more with fighting. He was very skilled, and they wanted to make sure he got all the education he could get. He had also gone into a class to learn how to make potions, and that's where he met her mother. So her mother used magi and potions? What else hadn't he told her?

Willow hopped into the shower, quickly washing her body and hair. Once finished she got out and washed her face, dried her hair, and then styled it, pulling half of it back. Once finished, she pulled on her outfit for the day, along with a pair of matching sneakers. After that was all done she decided to head out to breakfast, grabbing her schedule and her bag she opened the door, turning and slamming herself back against the door frame, not expecting to see Adam there. "I'm sorry you frightened me." she said with a smile. "What are you reading?" she asked, wondering what book always kept him so occupied. Smiling up at him she noticed the hallway was pretty empty. It was nice to live on a little bit of a nicer floor. It meant more privacy, not to mention people didn't normally linger in the halls. Kevin noticed Elsbeth sitting alone when he was carrying his tray. He walked over and plopped down next to her, a happy grin on his face. He started to eat, noticing she was reading something as she ate. He glanced over, noticing her schedule. He grabbed it, picking it up and pulling the one out of his pants pocket. He smiled when he realized they had a couple classes together. It would be nice to keep an eye on her. Once he was done he put her schedule back, putting his back into his pocket before resuming eating, he wasn't trying to distract her. He knew some people weren't morning people, he personally wasn't which was why sometimes he ended up being late to class, or eating from his room because he didn't have time for anything else.

Adam looked at Willow, smiling lightly. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I was just thinking that I could walk you to breakfast. As for the book, it's nothing interesting." He glanced at her outfit, liking how she made even casual clothes look. It was like everything she wore looked wonderful. After looking around the hall way he whispered to her. "Also, maybe we could go back to our secret place? I'm just worried that...that I might lose control around so many people." It was embarrassing saying that, but that was how he felt. It Now that he had tasted fresh blood again he wanted more. It would probably get worse around a bunch of other people. "I promise I won't take a lot. I didn't yesterday, either." He just needed a little to get him through the day. As much as he wanted to take more he wouldn't. It was a struggle that he was willing to deal with. Elsbeth continued reading the paper, not meaning to ignore Kevin. When she finished reading it she put it in her bag and then looked at him. "You seem to be in a good mood this morning. Not that you weren't in a good mood yesterday. You just seem even happier today." His smile made her want to return one, but she couldn't. Not right now. Her mind was too consumed with thoughts about her mother. She looked at her schedule, sighing lightly. "It looks like I'm going to be in a class about magic. I don't want to go. I feel like I won't really fit in there." Elsbeth had never felt so unsure of herself. This experience wasn't something she was enjoying.

Willow smiled at him at the mention of going to their secret place. She blushed softly and nodded. "I was fine yesterday.. I didn't even notice." she said lightly. Walking with him she thought about how everyone would be gathering in the dining area. "Why don't you go ahead and go there.. I'll get my tray and meet you there." she said with a coy smile. Giving him a nod she headed off to breakfast. Grabbing her tray she waved to Elsbeth and then headed right back out, going to their secret place. It was like the way there was engraved in her memory. Finally she arrived and let out a soft sigh when she got inside the cave. It was so calming here. Looking over at Adam her smile intensified, as well as her blush. She wanted to ask him about one of her reactions to him taking blood from her but was embarrassed. "Does.. well.. I mean.. I get.. excited." she whispered, hoping he understood her meaning. "When you drink from me.. is that.. normal or is that just an us thing?" she asked him, wondering if it would fade with time or grow more intense. Sitting down near him she started to eat her breakfast, wanting her strength up before he fed from her. Kevin smiled at her and shook his head. "You'll be fine." he promised. "We have that class together actually.. they put you in a pretty advanced one." he said. "We actually have a few classes together." he said, pointing to the ones on her schedule they had together. "If you're worried about those classes just sit with me.. we can pass notes or goof off to make you more comfortable on the first day." he promised. Going back to her earlier comment he shrugged. "I try.. I kind of have to fake it in the morning. I really don't like getting up." he admitted, not wanting to admit that he didn't like waking early. The thought of her still feeling like she didn't fit in bothered him for some reason. What would he have to do to make her feel like she was a part of this campus and this world. She was after all. She was here.

Adam smiled and nodded, happy that she was willing to meet him there. "I'll be there." He was there fairly soon, sitting on a pile of blankets he had brought there. He figured that Willow should be more comfortable if she was going to come here. When she walked in his eyes went to her, glad she hadn't changed her mind. He moved over to make room for her, wanting her to know she didn't need to keep her distance. He wouldn't hurt her. When she mentioned getting excited he froze. Was he suppose to tell her the truth? If he didn't then she might not trust him later on. "It's...it's an every couple thing. Not saying we're a couple." Why was he getting so worked up? "What I mean is that it's a bond that two people in our situation share. It'll grow over time. I mean, assuming we keep this up." What worried him was that the bond they shared would grow even stronger. It would be hard to keep away from her if that happened. Elsbeth looked at him and nodded, glad that she would be in a few classes with him. A boy approached the table and smiled, clearly nervous. When she looked up at him he started to stammer. Finally, he got his question out. "I...I was wondering if you'd go to the dance with me this weekend." It was a welcome back party, and she hadn't thought about even going. "No." He was about to ask again when she shook her head. "I stand by my decision." The boy walked away, letting Elsbeth sigh. "Why would he ask me to the dance? He doesn't even know me." She ate a bit more of her oatmeal and then looked at him. "I normally don't do things like dances. They aren't my thing. I mean, why go when no one wants to dance with you? Maybe I should have accepted his offer." She looked at her food, rethinking her decision.

Willow listened to him as she ate. "It doesn't bother me... if feels.. well.. good." She said softly. Peaking over at him she munched on a piece of fruit. "Does the same thing happen to you?" She asked, wondering if he too had the same feelings when he fed from her. The feelings didn't bother her, it had just surprised her was all. Once she finished her food she looked over at him, wondering if he 3oukd ever really relax around her. "Don't look so worried." She said softly, reaching up and brushing his hair back lightly. Brushing her hair away she tipped her head to the side, leaning closer to him. "Thanks for the blankets by the way." She said, patting them lightly. It was much more comfortable here now that he had done that. It would make it easier to when she wanted to come here alone. It would keep her warm as well if she came at night, or if the weather was poor. Kevin gripped his fork tightly when the boy came over. He wouldn't say a word because he didn't want anyone to think he had some kind of claim on her. He wanted one though didn't he. When she denied the boy he held back a smile and then listened to her. "He wants to get in your pants." He said simply. "However.. I would be more than willing to go with you and dance." He said with a smile. "You'll enjoy yourself.. you can let loose " He said. He knew it was hard for her, but he was trying to help her the best way he could. "Besides... I hadn't planned on going either. So if it's lame we can leave." He said, hoping she would say yes. "So what do you say?" He asked, hoping she would agree to go with him. It would be nice to actually have a date to the stupid thing.

Adam was about to answer she she brushed his hair back. Don't worry...How was he going to do that? It had been so long since he hadn't worried. "It does happen to me. I've never had such an intense reaction though. Normally it takes a while to get to this point. It's like this 'bond' we have is making the feelings stronger." He hated to admit it, but he needed to tell the truth. Hopefully that would pay off. "Oh, no problem. I can be comfortable on just about anything, but I figured you'd hate the ground here. I can tell it's not too great." Adam picked up a small pebble and thought for a moment. If he was correct, the school was having their dance this weekend. Should he invite Willow? It would be nice to say that she was his date. Would him being near her make everyone stay back more though? That wouldn't be something he'd like. It would actually be the opposite of what he was trying to do. Willow having friends here she could rely on was important. Elsbeth frowned when he said the guy wanted in her pants. She had heard this phrase before and didn't like what it meant. Then he dropped a surprise in her lap. He'd want to go with her? He had been helping her a lot, and he was the closest thing she had to a friend. "If I don't enjoy myself then you'll owe me. But for now, yes. I will go with you." This would also be a reason she could turn anyone else down that might invite her. Not that she was expecting anyone else to. Finishing her breakfast, Elsbeth sighed and played with the paper from her father. "Do you know both of your parents?" Maybe Kevin could help her with the frustration about her mother. Was it really about her mother though? What if her mother had died and couldn't be here? Then in that case her father should have told her about her sooner. He was acting like he had to let her down easily so he didn't smash and hopes she had about her mom. He didn't need to. She hardly thought of the woman until recently.

Willow smiled at him and nodded. "It's much more comfortable now." she said softly. Looking around she scooted closer and leaned against him, her neck still exposed. Willow made a face when she got a whisper of a thought, though the only word she got was dance. Willow wasn't sure what it was about, so she didn't mention anything, not wanting to make him feel awkward because she could catch a thought here and there. She nuzzled her face into his chest and smiled softly. "Hey come on.. bite me." she whispered, wanting to feel the sensation again. "We have time to talk after." she whispered. The idea of feeling the same thing she had last night made her happy. It would be nice to have those feelings before she talked with him some more. Besides that he was probably having trouble keeping himself under control when all he wanted to do was bite her. It wouldn't be fair to keep him uncomfortable. Kevin smiled at her answer and nodded. "Alright I'll owe you." he promised. He hoped she would have a good time. It would be nice for her to go and dance and just be care free. When she asked about parents he nodded. "Yeah.. my dad was gone a lot but I knew both of them." he said simply. He looked at her and thought. "Why did you not know one of yours?" he asked softly, not wanting to be to intrusive. It must be hard, if she didn't know one of her parents. He personally couldn't imagine. "That must be hard." he said simply. "Is that what your note is about?" he asked softly, wondering if that is what had caused her to be upset.

The feeling of Willow nuzzling his chest made it difficult to focus. Adam was a bit thrown off guard when she so casually mentioned him feeding. "You act like we've been doing this for years." He took her face in his hands, looking at her for a moment. This girl was going to get him in so much trouble, and he didn't even care. He leaned in towards her, moving to bite her neck. The warn liquid made him sigh lightly, his hands moving to her waist. It was so easy to pick her up and place her on his lap. Why had he let her convince him to do this? Adam knew he couldn't take much, wanting to make sure she could still go to classes. Pulling away, he kept his eyes closed and tried to calm himself. The others he had fed off never made him feel like this. It was like he was experiencing emotions he had locked away for years. He wanted to kiss her, but knew it was simply the affects of drinking from her. They barely knew each other so it couldn't be anything else. Elsbeth was glad that he had at least known both his parents. "Yeah...I don't know my mom. My dad said that he would write me these letters explaining how she was connected to my strange powers. Apparently she knew magic. That's as far as he's told me." She sighed lightly and tucked a stray hair behind her ear. "I'm sure I'm just being ridiculous. I've gotten this far without her so I don't need her now." After finishing her food, she got up and took care of her tray. "I think I'm going to head to class. Thankfully I have training last. That means I won't get all nasty before classes." The first class she had was the magic one she hared with Kevin.

Willow let out soft sounds of enjoyment as he drank from her and pulled her into his lap. When he finally pulled away she pressed her face against his chest, reaching up and casting a little healing spell on the small openings. Hanging onto him she let out a soft breath and shook her head. Tipping her head to the side she decided she had to know. "I.. earlier I.. you were thinking about a dance." she said softly. "What dance?" she asked. "I can't read you like I can other people.. only when you think really loud about something. The only word I got was dance.. so I'm curious." she said softly. Willow didn't move from his lap, knowing from last time it would take her a few minutes to recover. These feelings would get stronger, he had said so, and she wondered what would come of them if they did. They already felt drawn to one another, so why try and fight it? He was a vampire, but she didn't care about that. He treated her like she was normal, and that's what she really wanted. Kevin thought about what she said and shrugged. "I don't know.. maybe once he tells you.. if you get in touch with her." he paused and thought for a moment. "Maybe she could help you with your magic stuff you have problems with." he said simply. He gave her a smile and then nodded when she was heading off to training. Thinking about their first class he was glad to have it with her. He knew she needed help with the magic and he was a year ahead of her, perhaps he could teach her a few things. Finishing his food he got up and put his tray away before grabbing his bag of books and heading off towards his first class. When he got there, he placed himself in his usual seat and made sure there was an open seat next to him. She didn't have to sit with him, but he wanted to make sure she had the choice.
