Uru threw a jab before he got swatted away by a large paw. The monster could put in little effort and still do considerable amount of damage. It wasn't how an object does the action, it is the reaction that displays how much strength the user has. In this case, it had sent Uru, a good 200 lb individual tumbling across the battlefield.
The sitting option would have crushed him! Any other time, Uru would have laughed but this form was a big no.
The jab was cute and the ragdoll throw of Uru was quite funny. Damien spent his time on the floor laughing it up. He was quickly bouncing from being serious and not, even he wasn't surprised by that with the nature of how the collective mind worked.

The demon hellhound jumped on the monster amidst rolling around with what he could only comprehend as laughter. "Laugh it up, Damien. Two can play this game."
