Len wanted to after the two of them but didn't. Either Alister would talk her into coming back or he would come back alone or not come back either. Rupert asked her if her they would be coming back and she told him that she didn't know. She asked him to fix her some mull wine and to bring it to the music room before heading to it herself. She got out the sheet music for carol of the bells, which she thought would be relaxing for all of them to play, if the two do come back. She told Rupert to have enough mull wine ready for them as well. It didn't take her long to set up the music stands and placed the music on them. Since she already her dulcimer out, she had it ready to go for Vivian to play instead having Vivian having to set hers up. Len began to play the song on the piano, waiting for the two to come back.









Carol of the Bells

(DONE!)

"Even at the opera house if you hire me there? I'll try to remember that Alister." She said as she was enjoying their time together even though the the topics they talked about were a bit unsettling at times. "Thanks and it is getting better. Playing our instruments will help everyone relax. For me at least, as it been too long since I last played mine." Vivian began as she was trying to remember the last time she played her dulcimer... "It does, doesn't it? I'm not sure what my sister has planned for this week-end for the hot springs. I hope she'll let us have the week-end off..."

Vivian then noticed her sister walking towards them but hadn't passed Lenora's house yet. "Speaking of the devil, there's my sister, let's turn around and head to the park shall we? I rather not have to deal with her right now. She hadn't seen me yet or she would be calling out my name." Vivian said to him, hoping that he will go along with it. She let go of Alister and turned around where Priscilla couldn't see her face. Vivian began walking toward the park, this time more careful of where she was walking this time.

He chuckled at her response about not having a sword with her to help him fend them off. "You have a sense of humor, I like that in people. I know too many that don't and they are the most miserable." Josiah said back to her with a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Miss Marlena."

"Aye, if it were possible I would have the sessions out in the country but that's going to happen. I would stay out in the country during the ton season if I could. Since I have taken my place in the House of Lords and not married, it expected of me to to stay here for it. I know my mother not looking toward to it as some of her students have those mothers that will be after me to marry one of their daughters. Mother will rather stay away as well but she enjoys teaching her students more. So I will enjoy the times I do get to go to the country. The parks helps but it doesn't beat the country estate." Josiah said back to her.

"It depends what we are voting on for the country. The House of Lords is a part of Parliament, and not a men's club. We help run the country to run better for all. " He said back to her, imagining that she might think it was a men's club. "If it had been a men's club, I wouldn't be going. I would be a country bumpkin instead." He said with a slight chuckle as she passed him some crackers. "Actually, I usually have a little snack on my person as some of the sessions can go long without a break. Thank you," he said as accepted the crackers from her and began to break them up some to give them to the ducks.

After he was done giving the ducks his crackers, Josiah looked over at the entrance to the park. "So the two have finally met I see." Josiah said looking over at Alister and Vivian together. "My mother was planning to introduce my friend Vivian to Alister. I guess she had done so today, seeing the two of them together." Josiah said back to Marlena, grinning at one of the reasons that mother wanted the two to meet.

Vivian listened to what he had to say. She glanced back once to see that her sister did go to Lenora's house. Vivian hoped that the two would be able to be civil to each other."It looks like that Priscilla did go to Len's house. I'm glad we are out here than back there right now. It could be that she only wanted to ask something but then again, who knows for sure." She said back to him, not noticing that Josiah was here as well.

Carol of the Bells

"Mhm, I can see how that would be so, them clashing. Despite seeming like they could get along, I do think part of it, Lenora is just as protective of you as if you were her sister. I can imagine she doesn't like how things are between you and Priscilla. Since I cannot comment on the high horse remark, as you know her best I'm inclined to believe it." That she needed to get off her high horse, and Lenora nor Alistair didn't like how Priscilla treated Vivian, from what bit he knew now about it.

Smiling hearing what she had admitted about Josiah, giving a light chuckle to her blushing. "Ah is that so? He's a handsome young man, so it's not a surprise. Though, I do admit I'm glad you said that in past tense." Glad she didn't state she would still be jealous now, so it meant her feelings weren't quite on attraction with Josiah still. That they were just friends now.





"Oh they're so spoiled how they behave...plus it's a big ol' boys' club. Some I can imagine get so competitive, it must be exhausting to deal with, the entitled attitudes and all. Of course you are quite different from that, so I hope I don't offend you speaking about the others like that?" Giving a little smile, since she didn't see him as entitled or spoiled or anything.

Smiling as she finished feeding the ducks and stood, "Ah I wish...but alas I shall have to be shown and pranced about like a doll or show pony once the season begins." Wishing to avoid the whole debut season, but her mother wouldn't have it.

"OH, yes, that would be lovely. I mean, so long as we aren't disturbing them, it'd be nice to meet a couple more new faces." Since she didn't really have a lot of friends here, despite having grown up here. She just had the other ladies that were debuting, but they weren't quite friends, those ladies saw her more as competition. It was exhausting. She and Josiah went over to the two to greet and be introduced.

"Mhm, how curious...I wonder what changed then for her to behave how she does. Hopefully something will have changed her again for the better...Would be a shame if she were to continue on how she's been going. She might cause irreparable damage otherwise..." She might push her sister away too much if she wasn't careful.

He was still kind of relieved to hear about the brother sister like relationship she viewed between herself and Josiah. Giving a light chuckle, "It's alright...I understand what you mean. It doesn't make them sound like monsters or anything, so it's alright." She didn't have to worry about how her comparison would make him think of her own family.

Coughing a bit, "Mhm...maybe so," being awfully vague in his response to Vivian. That remark she'd made about him, though teasing, he smirked only giving her such a vague response to tease her in return.

Alister nodded in agreement of going back to Lenora's. "It seems Josiah and his friend are coming over here. We can chat with them, maybe they might even join us back at Lenora's for tea. Though maybe Josiah isn't up for questions from Lenora." Chuckling, remarking of the young lady friend.





Marlena didn't remark any further on the debut season. Not wanting to think about it for now. Smiling "Alright that would be lovely then. I'd like to meet her then. It'd be nice to have a friend," especially with this season coming up. Maybe it'd be good to have a female friend to confide in after all.

Vivian had enjoyed her evening with Lenora and Alister. On top of that, Alister did hire her to work at the opera house after hearing her play. She had one more week to go at the hot springs before going to the opera house full time. Needless to say that Vivian was ready to be there. Yet she was trying not to to show how happy she was in front of her sister about the job change. Vivian was already practicing her music for the opera at Len's place.

Speaking of Lenora's place, she was on her way over there now. A part of her was hoping that Alister would be there tonight by chance. 'He might be more of a distraction though to my practicing. Yet I do want to get to know him better.' She thought to herself as she walked around the corner to Lenora's home with a smile on her face.
