Allie was cooking, almost finished when he came back out. Glancing up she noticed him catch himself and then slide to the floor. Taking the meal off the burner she walked around and saw him on the floor. She moved down next to him and put his good arm around her. "Come on.. let's get you to the couch." she said softly. With his help she got him up and then helped him over to the couch. She sat down with him and just looked at him. "You're going to be alright." she promised. She rubbed his arm gently and then glanced at the clock. Handing him the remote she stood and then moved back to the kitchen to make him a plate of food. Then she brought him over his medicine along with a glass of water. Setting the water in the cup holder on the couch she set the pills on the arm and then handed him his plate and fork. "Can you get it yourself?" she asked lightly, not sure if he could hold the plate and feed himself at the same time. He was hardly able to walk, so she wasn't sure if he could feed himself. "I can help if you need it.. your on a pretty high dose of medicine.. they said you might need help with basic stuff." she said softly. "Let me know." she said, walking over and grabbing her own plate and glass of water before walking back over to sit next to him, wondering if he would ask for her help.

Sam got up, accepting her help. He sat on the couch and relaxed, watching her move around. When she gave him is food he nodded. "I got it." He ate slowly, making sure he didn't spill anything. It didn't take him long to finish his food, not being too hungry. He put his plate on the table and then picked up his medicine, trying to open it. It wasn't happening. He handed it to her, sighing. "I can't get it." It still made no sense that she was being sweet, but he shouldn't question it too much. She could have left him and made him take care of himself. That wasn't the kind of person she was though, was it? Allie was too sweet for her own good. If she knew what was good for her she would leave him. He's only keep hurting her, even if he didn't want to. Once he took his medicine, he closed his eyes and sighed. He was so tired again. Sam moved, not thinking much of his actions. He put his head on her lap and found himself much more relaxed. There was something about her presence that was calming. It wasn't fair. If she didn't want him here she would leave though. That would be fine by him. She didn't need to take care of him all the time. He could have someone else come over, or he could still go to his mother's.

Allie opened his pills for him and then finished eating her food when he took them. Once that was finished she reclined her spot on the couch and was just sitting with him. When his head came to rest on her lap she looked down at him surprised. She shook her head and grabbed a blanket off the back of the couch and covered him. She rubbed his back lightly and grabbed her book off the arm of the couch next to her and sighed softly as she started to read it, not wanting to move him because he seemed so comfortable. Looking down at him sleep she wondered why he fought with her so much. It was like he was trying to push her away instead of letting himself get close to her.

Sam fell asleep, not planning on moving for the night. If Allie wanted to go to her room, that was fine. In his sleep, he started to have a nightmare. He tossed and turned for a while, soon waking up. He shot up, hitting his arm on the table. A whine escaped him before he held onto it, trying to keep himself together. His eyes went to Allie, seeing her still there with him. She was there That meant his nightmare wasn't true. Why did he have a nightmare involving her? Without warning, he started to cry. He hoped she blamed it all on the pain and medicine he was on. Then he said it..."I'm sorry. I'm so sorry" Sam put his head back on her lap and wrapped his arm around her leg. He couldn't calm down, and he hated it.

Having read for a while, her book was discarded on the arm of the couch, as she tried to figure out how to move without waking him. That's when he started to seem upset while he slept. She tried to wake him but jerked back when he slammed his arm on the table. She watched him, hoping he was alright. When he started to cry she felt her heart break for him. He was in a lot of pain, or so she assumed. When he started to sob and tell her that he was sorry she leaned over him and rubbed his back, her head resting on top of his. "It's okay." she whispered. She rubbed his back and tried to sooth him. "It's okay.. I was mean to you." she whispered. "I shouldn't have said what I did either." she whispered, her own eyes welling up. He was telling her he was sorry, how amazing was that. He cared, even if he wouldn't admit it.

"It's not okay. It's not at all." He sat up and put his good hand on her cheek, leaning in to kiss her. "I'm sorry about earlier. About me kissing someone else. I shouldn't have. I...I just worry. I don't want to fall for someone and have them hurt me." Sam put his forehead on her shoulder and tried to calm down. This medicine was horrible. "I'll try harder. I will." He nodded and then put his head on her lap again. Soon, he was passed out. Sam slept soundly the rest of the night, extremely tired once more. He hoped he wouldn't have another break down, but wouldn't be shocked if he did. Pain medicine like this always got too him too much. It made him say things he normally wouldn't.

Allie held onto him, surprised by his kiss but happy he was ready to at least give her a try. If it didn't work out then they could figure out what they wanted to do. They had to stay together, they had a marriage contract. If they tried however and it didn't work then they could always agree to have a different sort of relationship. When he started to fall back asleep she leaned back on her spot on the couch and fell asleep with him. This had been a good breakthrough at least. The next morning she shifted, stiff, still snuggled against Sam. She brushed his hair back and tried to wake him. "Sam.. I need to get up and make you breakfast." she whispered to him, wanting to make sure he was awake so he could eat and take his medicine once more. She didn't want him to be in any pain.

Sam was woken up by Allie mentioning breakfast. He groaned and sat up a bit, rubbing his eyes. "I just want some oatmeal." That would be simple, filling, and easy to eat. "I'm going to take a bath." He got up and went to the bathroom, turning on the water. He made sure it wasn't filled too high and then undressed. Once in, he relaxed and tried to keep his arm out of the water. He wasn't allowed to get his cast wet, so he had to keep it out of the bath. Once he was done, he got up and wrapped a towel around his waist. In his room, he grabbed a pair of basketball shorts and pulled them on. He looked at his chest and saw multiple bruises, noticing a few on his face as well. He was such a wreck right now. Back in the living room, he sat on the couch and sighed. He hadn't even bothered to put a shirt on, not having the energy. Right now he just needed his medicine and some food.

Allie nodded and when he got up she stood and stretched, feeling a little stiff from being on the couch all night. She moved to the kitchen and started to make his oatmeal. Once that was finished she moved back to the living room, with some juice and his pills. When she came out she stopped and just looked at him. "Oh Sam." she said softly. She moved over and handed him his oatmeal and then sat down next to him and started to eat her own breakfast. Then she looked over at him again. "How fast was that guy going?" she asked, wondering how much more damage was avoided for Sam. She reached over and brushed his arm and then pushed the blanket over his shoulders. "Keep yourself warm." she said softly. He was already hurt he didn't need to be sick too.

Sam took the oatmeal and was about to eat when she said something. "It looks worse than it is." He didn't want her worrying too much. He took a bite of his food and sighed, glad to have food in his stomach. When she asked about the other driver he shrugged. "I didn't bother to ask. My mom said I should sue, but there's no point. I have enough money, and that guy's family shouldn't suffer because of what he did." Plus, from what he heard the other guy was messed up even worse. Who even knew if the accident was truly his fault? Things happened. Sam accepted the blanket, shifting a bit to make it cover him more. His arm was starting to bother him again, and his head still hurt. He was going to need to take his medicine soon. "I'm sorry you got stuck taking care of me. I could still go to my mom's. She'll have someone there take care of me. That way you can have free time."

Allie shook her head at him and set her empty bowl aside. "'No you wouldn't like that and you know it." she said softly. "I don't mind.. and I don't have anything better to do so it doesn't bother me." she said lightly. She opened his medicine and handed it to him. "Here you go." she said lightly. "You get more with lunch." she said. Standing she went over to the movie rack and grabbed some. "Why don't we just watch some movies?" she asked, setting them in front of them. They were pretty cool movies, she thought he might like them.

Sam sighed and shook his head, still not understand her. When she put the movies in front of one he pointed to the one he wanted. He was still slowly eating his food, taking the medicine before he was finished. With his stomach full, he put the bowl down and relaxed on the couch. He reached down and reclined his part of the couch, finding it much more comfortable. "Would you do me a favor? Give me another blanket?" It was starting to get colder out, and he was feeling it. It probably just had to do with all the medicine and his body fighting to heal. Although the night before was fuzzy, Sam did remember most of it. He wanted to kiss her like that again, but was't sure how it would go over. It was a shame that he wasn't going to be able to watch the movie with her fully, but as long as she was entertained. He would give her a break from him by sleeping.

Allison moved to grab the movie and when she went to put it in she nodded. Once it was in she went into her room and grabbed a few more blankets, and changed into some comfortable shorts and a tank top before heading back out to the couch. This way she would be comfortable. Tossing her hair up in a bun she grabbed the blankets and went back out to him. Using one she covered him up and then sat on the couch, moving so her head was resting in his lap. It was a trade from last night. Then she grabbed her blanket and handed him the remote once more. She still wasn't sure how to work his TV system because she didn't normally watch TV. "I'm not hurting you am I?" she asked, lifting her head up slightly, her body curled into a comfortable laying position on the couch. After a night of sitting it felt good to lay back.

Sam smiled when Allie put her head on his lap. It was nice to know he was building some trust with her. "You're not hurting me at all." He took the remote and started the movie, trying to fight sleep. He dozed off for a bit during the movie, but woke up shortly after. He put his hand on Allie and sighed, thinking about their home. Maybe they should have a better place. Something that wasn't so obviously a bachelor pad. That would probably make her feel better. Watching the movie made him not realize that he was rubbing his wife's arm. Sam was just trying to stay awake so he didn't seem rude. How long would he need these stupid pills? Maybe he could get something that didn't make him so tired. Grabbing his phone, he sent a message to the family doctor to let them know he needed something else. This just wouldn't work. Sleeping most of the time, barely eating, struggling to do things on his own. He hated it.

Allison watched the movie, though she started to doze as well, not having slept very well the night before sitting up. When she woke Sam was rubbing her arm. Smiling softly she yawned and stretched, her arm holding onto his leg gently, not realizing her hand was pressed close to an intimate area on his thigh. She started to doze off once more however, him rubbing her arm very soothing, so she didn't notice where her hand was.
