Ace learned to observe others' emotion flow after being commented he didn't pay much attention. Thus, his eyes afloat when he listened to Jason, partially glad that he was giving information when he had difficulties to talk about it. "Titans? They are gigantic?" It was slightly hard to imagine with just a few words but he tried to understand. "Hook lines for anchoring? ......and jet powdered packs for boosting? It feels like you're talking about some fantasy stories."

He naturally scratched his head, clueless of the picture didn't form nicely in his mind. To his relief, it wasn't the only thing Jason say. He grinned gently, "I bet no one would disagree the Sun Leader is strong, I mean - look at the impressive muscles on his body. Cadance." Ace realized how few people he knew, at least he was familiar with their names.

"I'm interested about the halloween students, we've got a lot of chances to patrol in the Haunted House and spy in the school right? How's about those spars?" He asked with greater interest. "More importantly, what's the difference from sparring with a hunter? What I need to take notes of?"

The Sun trainee raised an eyebrow, turned around to stare at the buildings near by and turned back. "Seriously, that's tall....how can you do damage to a big thing like that, the attacks would be like kitten's scratching?" A baffled look was formed as he switched the leg to fold up.

He sighed in light envy, "That must be a great moment. How did it start? He invited you for it or....?" His eyes moved around and finger tapped against the knee cap. "Do you think he would accept a spar from a trainee?" Just a whim, but there was a big chance he would implement it.

"I've no doubt on that." Replied Ace. "I took that duty once so far and met a friendly creature." A smile one can classified as sweet appeared on his face as he thought of Thezil. "Dangerous indeed, but also fascinating and exotic." The smile cracked wider as he recalled more.

He heard that from Thezil, but he couldn't help commenting on it. "Wow, that's convenient and unfair. Do you know how long they normally take to reform completely? Hmm....they live forever unless being weaponized....I don't know how I feel about that if I were them." He honestly said, thinking what life would be like if you could live that long.

Ace put a hand over his face in response to Jason's laughter. "Gosh, mentioning kittens didn't work. My mind is now a giant with many kittens clawing on him. Like - it's meal time and the hungry kittens clung to or even climb onto your legs.......That's not exciting or dangerous at all."

However, Jason was smiling nicely talking about Allan, sothe trainee eased a bit. "He sounds the best choice among other leaders to pick a spar for.

He blinked at his friend when he looked at him, seemed wanting to say something but didn't. Ace was not a pushy type, he believed if Jason wanted to say something so much, he would do it. If not, then it possibly doesn't matter. "The house set us up when we were having a random conversation. It didn't allow us to move until it was bored. He was a funny guy and I like him a lot, very gentleman and not aggressive. We did talk, but not much about halloween, just himself."

"Crap. If you meet a crazy creature that attack you, dissipate, and back to attack you. That sounds annoying as hell. I almost feel how some celebrities feel about paparazzi." He mocked, the more he thought, the more he felt it was unfair for hunters.

Ace nodded in agreement, he didn't have strong liking towards animals but not hating them either. He seldom have something he hated or have strong emotions for. "Simon....trigger happy? Like he will shoot at your legs and make you dance? Hmm. Alright, I will go when I have time, I wanna meet them anyway."

The Sun trainee shrugged, "I know. Getting too close with them, you might be suspected for treason. It's understandable when they're being watchful. Hmm golems.....I don't think I'm good at prying information because I'm honest." He licked his tongue, musing. "I do think sparring with friendly creatures would be beneficial though. It would be great if we make friends, I don't believe they're all hostile." Ace was lack of experience, pretty much a white paper so he didn't have much concern about the creatures. For him, they were just another species, like humans.

While Jason zoned out to talk to Zanth, Ace had moved his face closer to check the hunter until he sighed in tired voice. "Jason, are you okay?" He frowned mildly for the change. "It's fine if you can't tell me that, it's not common knowledge after all. Don't push yourself." Ace dragged Jason closer by shoulder and patted for soothing.

Catherine? You hear?

"Catherine told me about it, it's funny to imagine they run back and forth. I guess not many really come back and fight again then." Laughing, Ace nodded to himself.

Ace pressed gently his lips, wetting them from inside for how many interesting people in the organization. Someone wore suit in replacement for hunter coat, that sounded much more like a secretary. His curiosity had been piqued.

"Students? They're having lessons in school like human students?" He blinked with laughter. "Hmm, I have an engagement with him soon. Yup, I guess it would be better than you met a hostile creature that wanna take your life and you learn through risky battle for a first time. I'm quite lucky huh?" It was rhetorical. "Yup, he was a bit curious, serious in a way that I feel slightly adorkable. I hope he isn't pretending in order to cheat me, I guess it won't be a fun thing if I had to dissipate him. My first creature friend." Ace's tone sounded like he was a new freshman and that he met with his first friend in the first day of the school. Somehow, the tall man gave off a childish sensation.

The Sun trainee patted on Jason's shoulder, might be too hard for a time. "Haha, Jason, you didn't ask anything like that through your years here?" Ace might be a bit startled for Catherine's words but he saw the shadows since he was young. When he made faces towards them, when they tried to scare the little boy but he giggled instead, Ace believed everything was possible after all. "It won't be harder than believing you'd pick up a weapon to fight against something others can't see well right? To believe phoenix and dragons, werewolves and vampires are all real and there is someone talks in your mind. I bet you spent a long time to accept that, so you won't take long for the pumpkins." He smiled freely. "I think it's rather convenient, they don't need to suffer from the labour pain and just wait for the pumpkin to give them a baby. It fits a fairy tale world. Maybe more than two can have a baby together even, like best friends.....but the relationships gonna be so confusing then." He giggled at the thoughts.

"Pendant? What pendant?" His tone and the giggle stopped revealed he had no idea about it. "They didn't give me a pendant." When he had his first patrolling duty, a senior brought them there like a tourist guide or a mother duck in a team and then dismissed them and told them to come back on a specific time, two hunters for one location for safety. It was more like a short school trip, might be the guy forgot to give them or maybe he didn't care. In short, he didn't get a pendant until the external mission with Otto and Kimberly. However, at that moment, it didn't come to Ace's mind that pendant was the one Jason was talking about.

"I heard their world was created by our fear, so that's not too surprising to hear." He pulled his arms up behind his head. "School.......that's a long time ago." Exams, assignments, the orphanage he was at was a big one that provided them with basic education. To Ace, those are too boring, even he could remember what were taught. He never get the joy from doing those things.

<School life was fun, I'd had fun with those witches every day. Dates, drink parties, detentions and private time with teachers - oh forget that part ♡> 'You were not a good student huh?' <Never, men all love bad ghouls. Even meek innocent boils, because they give them 'exciting' experiences ♡> 'Ah. I see.'

"We don't mention about Deus much, he's more interested in human world like how we get curious about their world. Jason, do you have creatures that you have a friendly term with?" He asked back. "I will be careful with my words, senpai~" He purred. Jason had a point, the more you knew something, the more you wanted to make use of it. He'd thought about it thoroughly later but remained to treat Thezil as a friend.

Ace blinked in reply. "You won't get interested in the world Zanth once living? He's not a talkative type that share much? Hmm....it would be fun to know things, but I guess too much and you might overflow with information?" Like pouring water to a sponge, you have to pour it slowly each time and allow enough time to absorb. Ace and Jason were different for their mindsets, Ace was a sponge that like a black hole, for which he never take things up with strong feelings and had such a wide acceptance range for stuff. Like the pumpkin reproduction, he just felt it amusing and funny, and accepted it within a minute.

"Easy, easy." He put a hand between Jason and himself. "I wasn't sure which pendant you're talking, I do have it, see." He fiddled out one like the copy on the hunter's hand, with colorful beads together with it. "Ohhhhh, is that so? I just got it in the EM with Otto, as part of his mentoring." He dangled the stone up, let the rope turn it around in swirls. "That's one useful thing, isn't it?" He rubbed the surface of the stone of Jason's pendant, "The rope is worn, you might need to get a new one soon. It saved you many times, right?" While the thumb brushed on its surface, he whispered a thank you in his heart.

Ace's eyes rolled as he listened to Jason's reminiscing of his school life, thinking of his. He ran away from the orphanage early, then he had been doing part-time until he was recruited. It made school sounded so distant for the man. He kept on changing jobs when a girlfriend picked him up .

"Really?" He blinked in mild surprise. "I though they can go to the human world like how we can go to theirs. I guess I can keep his interest by simply telling him the human world then." It would save him from leaking confidential information. The trainee nodded lightly. "I see, there're things they remember better, some they couldn't remember at all. Like Catherine, she loves to talk about the outfits she used to wear but she's unable to describe the school or the teachers. She just had an impression she was a student but it was so vague." Ace shrugged.

The malfunction cases of the pendant made his eyebrow raised. "Like Area-of-effect interference of powerful figures? Hmm, does the virus outbreak regard as a big battle? Were there some in bigger scale than that? I hope the portal function when the pendant doesn't then....."
