Danny had pushed the bottom-most rune, but it didn't budge. The ghast yelped as the flames came close. Too close. But they steeled themselves and pushed her back.

"N-No! get back!"

The witch rolled her eyes at Lock.

"They're with me. Look, just got mind your own business, okay?"

Unable to contain himself any longer, the goblin bit down on the naga's hand, forcing him to let go. The serpentine monster let out a yelp as he recoiled away. With a maniacal laughter, the goblin ran to the foundation and set a rather large barrel down from seemingly out of nowhere. Plastered on the side was a Red emblem.

"No time to waste!" he said in a shrill voice, "TIME TO MAKE BOOM!"

"No! You jacking moron!" the naga snapped.

"Oh yay! Boom time!" the zombie cheered.

"Cannit say we dinnit see this comin' ya?" the ghast sighed.

The witch just face palmed.

Meanwhile, the goblin was setting some stuff up around the barrel, moving quickly.

"Tis too late now. Keep d'kids off o'im!" the ghast shouted. And just like that, the other four formed a perimeter around the goblin to protect him as he worked.

BOMBS AWAY

gaia_star The Malocchio are trying to set up bombs to blast open a part of the gym's foundations! You have 4 rounds before the bombs go off. To try and stop it from happening, you must defeat the group!

gaia_star There are 5 grunts.

gaia_star Grunts have a collective hp pool of 100 and do 4 auto damage.
You get one attack per round. You can make as many normal rp posts as you'd like, however!

gaia_star Each round will last 12 hours. The reset times are 12am CDT and 12pm CDT. You do not need to wait for an official post to take your next move, as long as the time is right. Meaning, if you post at 11, you can go ahead and post your next move at 12:01. I will update the thread title for which round it currently is when I am able. The final round will end at 11:59pm CDT on the 14th.

gaia_star Fear attacks do not refresh between rounds. If you do use a fear, item, special ability, ect ect, please announce it in OOC!

Jack. There was a bomb!?

Running forward and grimacing at the pain in his back, Marosa drew his hands together and concentrated, intent on making the others doubt themselves and possibly do a little damage in the meantime.

Hopefully the others would act just as quickly, but he wasn't in the best shape to begin with - he'd lost his wings just a few days ago, and his body was still recovering and in a lot of pain.

He had to push through it, though. He had to.

And yet in all of the jostling of other students rushing forward to stop whatever was happening, Mathias's attempt to help got shoved, quite literally, to the wayside.

He may have growled and grumbled a bit as he pushed himself back to his feet, brushing himself off as he did so.

"Oh you did not... " he started before just hissing sharply under his breath. Summoning his daggers, he moved in to strike the ghast. He failed to do anything to them, however.

They were surely suspicious. Before AJ could view what they were setting, Head had pulled him over, yelling: "OH AJ! What are they doing? OHHHHHH there's an red eye there, so beautiful!" The boil stayed still like a dog owner holding the leash.

"Marosa?....Where's your wings?" He was slightly startled, in apron and holding a tray.

Well. This was something. Marati had followed the commotion and found the interesting grunts and the students who opposed them; and more importantly, she saw her own among the pack. Never one to abandon those she considered hers, she made her way over, balling her hands into fists, and taking a hard swing at the grunt nearest to her.

Only then did she cast a glance at Shun, who looked as inviting as ever.

"This is quite the party - feel like catching me up?"

"These five goons are attempting to blow up the gym or something. Either they are a part of the Malocchio, or they just got their explosives from them. Either way..." he muttered, trailing off.

"We can't let them." Amrita finished where Shun trailed off, her eyes narrowed in the direction of the grunts. They were doing something to her turf? That was unacceptable. "Any idea why the gym?" She asked, shifting slightly to let another student through, to give them the chance to attack while Shun caught her up.

Andrew took a few paces back and a few more cookies. He fully planned to sit back and watch the fireworks.

Actually, "AJ if you want to do that, I'll hold your tray." and finish off his cookies. Was Andrew going to help stop them? No he wanted to see things explode.

He was so helpful... wait... Where were Marosa's wings? Weird. Andrew's wings subconsciously pulled into himself. To be wingless was a terrible thing, at least if you already had wings. "That looks painful." he murmured half to himself.

Was there something hidden? Or did these jerks just have a vendetta against the school? Maybe an issue with Red? Shun wasn't sure. With a shake of his head, he crouched down, waiting for an opening.

Lutz had literally been taking a nap near all the commotion when this whole mess broke out. It had been easy enough to ignore the chatter of the strangers and the students at first, but less so when there was yelling and the sound of fighting.

After locating the group, the marionette's gaze immediately zoned in on a familiar face. Weaving forward to stand by the reaper, the boil blinked slowly, his eyes half-lidded with fatigue.

The plan had been simple: drop in, say hello to her friends, maybe catch up for a bit with each of them, and then leave.

...So what the hell was this?

Xiu did not take threats to Amityville lightly, particularly when she could spot a number of friends among the group that had gathered out here which included Shun and Danny. Seeing as Andrew was the one who appeared to be closest to where she was presently standing, Xiu made her way towards him, only to balk a little when one of the intruders stumbled into her path. Lips twisting into a frown, she swung her fist out at them and then continued on, shooting them a brief glance while shaking out her fist. As soon as she reached the fire demon, she lift her brows at him in question.

"Hello, Andrew, nice to see you again. So, this wasn't how I expected my visit to go today," she said, staring pointedly at the strangers, "But what's going on here exactly?"

"..." Andrew munched on a spookie. Yes he too had seen Danny and Shun and all that but he hadn't expected to be suddenly by yet another person he knew. He had figured he would be safe doing nothing.

"I don't know some thing about an explosion. Want a spookie?" he offered Xiu a cookie from the ones he had taken from AJ earlier. He was innocent. Ok so he wanted to see the explosion and he suspected there would be treasure hunting in the short future and he really really wanted the explosion to go off but... he would try to play it cool.

"I'm just watching the fireworks."
