Hiro clipped Nuke with his leg, which helped him somewhat keep from crashing into the barricade on the side of the ramp as he had quite misjudged his jump. This is why he doesn't usually go for things like that! Regardless "This is Awesome" chants broke out as the Ethnic Enigma used the barricade to get back up to his feet, this time getting the opportunity to gloat for a minute, to which many of the fans cheered, a small "Lets Go Hiro" chant picking up steam among a few. He attempted however, to keep up his attack, turning his attention right to Nuke. He took a step back, and attempted to run in at him, and dropkick his head right against the barricade!

The world was spinning in Nuke's head, as some kind of inaudible cheers went around the arena. It sounded like Nuke's head was underwater, and it may as well have been as Hiro connected on a dazed Fusion with a dropkick!
The barricade moved back a little as The Prodigy's body slumped even further.

Nuke's head slammed right into the barricade with the dropkick, of course causing him to slump over. Hiro rolled back up to his feet, the ref pleading for the match to be brought back inside, his count up to six. Hiro was happy to listen, as he tried to lift Nuke up and toss him back into the ring and go for a pin!

His body picked up with some effort due to the lack of cooperation, Nuke felt himself being dragged in to the ring. He was rolled towards the center with Hiro quickly following, attempting to lift his leg for a pinfall!
One!
Nuke broke the count!
The crowd cheered and popped as the count was readily broken at one, even after the hard fought spots that had already been put on in this match. One of the defining points of Nuke's career and resumé was his inability to give up.

Hiro was stunned! He sat up net to Nuke who had kicked out so quickly. He thought Strong Style stayed in Japan, but apparently, it had found it's way into the ring here today, in the form of Nuke Fusion. Getting back up to his feet, Hiro stepped back into a corner, waiting for Nuke to get back up. When Nuke eventually does, Hiro would run at him and attempt to hit him with a striking spear!

Rolling on to hi front and pushing himself up ever so slightly with some left strength, he looked around him and saw no immediate threat. The crowd were making chants and cheers, but was that for the kickout, or something else altogether?
As Nuke stood, he turned around .. and jumped clear in the air past an incoming Spear!

Hiro charged right under Nuke, missing his spear in the most epic way possible. He ran towards the turnbuckles and used the to stop himself, quickly turning around to Nuke landing back on the ground. Seeing red, Hiro took off once more at Nuke, again trying to hit him with a harsh striking spear! As epic as it looked to the crowd, the miss embarrassed the Ethnic Enigma!

Nuke had Hiro rattled, and that was something that he had completely planned on. As Hiro came in for the second Spear, Nuke side-stepped and attempted to trip him, before going for his signature Ankle Lock on the ground!

Hiro thought he had Nuke right where he wanted him...in this case...ROOKIE MISTAKE! Hiro was suddenly tripped up by the Nuclear God, and as he flew forward, Nuke, in mid air, grabbed one of his legs and kept him from going far, instantly locking him into an ankle lock! The fans were roaring at the superb move from Nuke, and Hiro was immediately in pain on the apron as he tried to claw about and get to some ropes before the pain became too much!

As Hiro moved forward, Nuke dropped to the ground. Gripping the left ankle of Hiro with every appendage at his disposal, he wasn't letting go until his opponent wasted energy getting to the ropes.
The ref was at the face of Hiro, asking him if he wanted to give up, and as he did so Nuke torqued the ankle even further, seriously looking like he was attempting to break it.
Who would do this to a future team-mate!?

One can only assume, backstage, Freakshow and Kujaku were probably watching a television and smiling. Salem? He was probably cursing up a storm, aggravated that he even booked this match. Hiro was screaming at the ref that there was no way he was quitting yet, but the ref wouldn't really back off. It got to the point where the ropes were no longer an option, so Hiro had to do something else: try with all of his might to flip onto his back, and rip his ankle from Nuke's grasp!

That was some strength. As much as Nuke had a grip on that ankle, something inside Hiro snapped and he managed to flip himself and free his leg.
Knowing Hiro would immediately try to get away, Fusion knelt in the middle of the ring to watch where he went to, taking a slight breather for himself.

Hiro was now easily able to drag himself to the ropes, wrapping his arms around the bottom one and holding on tight, breathing heavily and taking a second to rub his ankle/shin area. Jeez, Nuke was definitely still hitting the gym in his down time. Hiro looked to roll out of the ring and land on his feet, quickly holding up his one target ankle so he wouldnt need to stay fully standing on it for more than a second. He leaned against the ring apron and looked in at the ring, Nuke also taking a breather. They both were, and the fans could see it, a roar coming from them in appreciation over what this match had produced thus far.

Where a breather was good, action was twice as better. While the fans cheered and Hiro looked away for a moment to rest, Nuke shot to his feet and ran at the ropes attempting to Baseball Slide Hiro in to the announcers table!

The ring shook as Nuke came running in at Hiro. Unfortunately, the Cuban Jap couldn't react quick enough, and he was kicked in the face, sending him flying into the announcetable...sorta. Really he just stumbled backwards and hit it, slightly sitting onto it but quickly standing back up on his feet in front of it, rubbing his nose that felt like it possibly had started to swell!
