He gave a frowny face at her, "Well you should know better if it's coming from me."
He tilted his head at the raspberries. As he looked around quickly to see if there were any from what he could tell. "Hm. Doesn't look like there are any for now."
He nodded as she said if it's super crowded they'd leave, "Well surely there's other places too if this one doesn't work out." He gave a grin as he nodded when she said she'd planned to have the picnic at the ranch. He started laughing, "Ohh... no it's best we stay away from your brothers. I wouldn't want them picking on you worse."
He smiled as she agreed though that a picnic here sounded much better.

Oh she knew quite well, but it didn't mean she couldn't tease him about it.
She nodded in soft agreement as he spoke, but in the end it didn't matter that much. When the trees finally began to thin and the ocean came into sight over the rocky outcropping there wasn't much of anyone to be seen. In the distance some tiny boats could be seen, but they were pretty far and heading in the opposite direction.
Aurora paused taking in a deep breath of the salty air before she stretched mildly. The soft sound of waves crashing and Harbor seals chattering in the distance drew her attention. Upon further inspection they'd notice otters and even a couple whales far off the shore.
"How about we take a look around for a little bit and then we can settle in and get comfortable. We've still got a little bit before the sun starts to go down."

Azzo started humming a little as he walked with her. It was nice to just be able to do something and not worry about anyone interfering. Even if there were things that could be lurking in the dark, he didn't care.
The ocean when it came in sight he stood and stared at it for a few moments before taking in a deep breath as well. "Ahhh, the air's so clean and the smell of the ocean's so sweet here."
He nodded in agreement to walking around for a little bit before they settled in. "Yeah that sounds good to me. I'm sure if we walk a little we'll find a place we can't resist."

The water was too chilly to really swim in or dip their feet in so Aurora didn't bother trying to get to close to the actual shore sticking to the rocks. She had crept a little closer to where the otters were however trying to peek a little more at the cute little critters, but in the end they were just too far out.
In their wandering Aurora found a spot that was covered in some slightly squishy moss. It seemed softer than the pure rock or the kind of stubby shrub grass, so she called to Azzo. "I think if we put the blankets down over here we could probably get comfy."
It was probably strange for Azzo for it to be 11pm and still sunny out. Aurora herself had only finally gotten re-used to the strange hours herself a few months before. But slowly and surely the tell tale signs of the sun sinking on the horizon were finally becoming apparent, and by then Aurora was more then happy to settle in to relax and perhaps nibble on something to eat.LP Gonna go ahead and fast forward then unless you have something you wanted to do, then I can edit. ;3

Azzo chuckled as he followed her looking at the otters himself, "No Aurora, you can't have one." He teased her lightly. However, they were fairly cute. "We have enough with Merlin and Snowball."
He paused when she found a spot that was covered in some moss. He nodded, as she called to him making his way over. "This does seem like a good spot." He agreed as he sat the basket down to un-bindle the blankets and spread them out. Keeping some for in case they got chilly. "I'm not use to it being this chilly lately." He laughed a little as he offered her the basket if she wanted to set up the picnic part.
"This is nice isn't it?" He asked as he sat down.

"I've missed those two." She mused softly thinking of the pup and Guardian. They were really her first pets which was special, but they seemed much more then pets. They were pretty much her and Azzo's babies and would be given the fact that real babies were quite off the radar.
The food wasn't anything too terribly exciting, but it was made and prepared with love. Setting the food out on a few small plates, she finished by pulling out the drinks.
It was getting awfully chilly, even for Aurora who was more accustom to the cooler weather than Azzo. After 60 degree days she was sure to melt upon returning to Destiny City. With the sun starting to set the temperature was dipping to the low 50s, and Aurora scooted close to Azzo.
"It's wonderful. Too bad it can't be like this forever." But it couldn't. They had to go back. Back to the ranch. Back home. And back to powered life.

Azzo laughed, "I'm so glad for a break. I hope they're behaving themselves and not stealing the city blind. I swear they've gotten the kicked puppy face and sad kitten face of doom down pat." He sighed and shook his head. "Such bandits."
He was still happy with any food she made even if it wasn't horribly impressive it was a nice midnight snack for him. When she scooted closer to him and he was finished with his food he wrapped an arm around her watching as the sun dipped lower, however was playing with something in the opposite jacket pocket.
"I know... it's soo nice." He agreed, "However, for tonight it at least can be." He looked like he was thinking about something, maybe a question he had to ask her? Of course, as Azzo normally was, it stuck and he wrinkled his nose a little in a thoughtful wist.

"You've been letting them run amuk." She sighed playfully. "I'm going to have my hands full when we get back, what with cleaning and trying to whip our boys back into shape." Who was she kidding, she'd probably let them get away with murder too.
Aurora was oblivious to whatever it was Azzo was thinking about or playing with, simply enjoying herself. His body was warm next to hers, and the sky was finally starting to really darken mixing purples and blues into the pinks and oranges of the horizon. The first stars were beginning to twinkle and shine in the darker bits of the sky. Her hand settled the hand that rested on her, fingers attempting to work their way to interwine with his.
He was being a little quiet. "Are you alright? Not getting too tired?"

Azzo chuckled, "Maybe a little bit? I didn't think they could get into much trouble. Obviously I was wrong."
He rested his head on hers as he sat there thinking, letting her hand intertwine with his own. Though her question brought him back to earth as he sat there pulling away slightly, "Well. Yeah but I have a question for you. . . .
He paused taking a deep breath before looking at her seriously and pulling out a little red box from his pocket. "I-I'd been debating this for a while. Sent your father a letter but I'm not sure he ever got it. . ."
His brows knitted a little bit. "Aurora, I know we've been apart for a little over a year, and I couldn't imagine living without you, as it's been hard enough this past year. . . but . . . would you. . ." He paused swallowing his words looking for the courage to finish, "Marry Me?"

Aurora had dreamed, and daydreamed, about a moment like this more than a dozen times, but it made it no less surprising. No less emotional.
For a moment she was frozen. Her breath caught in her throat. Her heart seeming to quite literally have stopped, refusing to restart itself. Despite it being merely a second or two it probably seemed like an eternity for Azzo. But it wasn't like he ever had any reason to worry.
After seeming as if her heart had stopped it now felt like her heart was beating so fast and hard it might burst. "Azzo of course. Of course I'll marry you."
And then there were the tears. Surprised delighted tears like a waterfall. The distance between them was closed in one swift motion, her arms wrapping around his neck as she pressed a fierce kiss against his lips. She didn't care what the ring looked like (not at this moment at least). The only thing on her mind was the thought of being a wife. Of being HIS wife. Of spending the rest of their lives together no matter how long that was or what the future held. And perhaps the slight thought in the back of her head that this had better not be just another stupid day dream.LP Oh my gosh so cute! *o* That picture would be the appropriate initial reaction.

Even if he knew the answer deep down, he still couldn't help but to be a little bit worried. What if something had changed and even though her brothers had poked and prodded at them there was a reason he'd been trying to keep as calm and cool as he could.
He smiled a little unsure of hisself until she actually answered him to his relief. His smile became more genuine, he couldn't help but be happy. Then there were tears and she closed the distance between them quickly at first he was surprised but he melted into the kiss.
He was more than happy to no longer care for the time being about if anyone might catch them kissing. Perhaps it was finally time to ensure that the past and their future were different.

She kissed him until she physically couldn't anymore, her lungs beginning to ache from the lack of oxygen. And even when her lips left him the rest of her did not, arms still wrapped possesively around his neck, almost sitting in his lap. Aurora was sniffling, trying to will away the tears but she wasn't doing a very good job.
"My brother didn't guilt you into this did they?" She asked through her sniffles, even though she knew better. Where in the world would he have gotten a ring from on such short notice?
Locking eyes with him, she stared at him seriously for a long moment prattling on in gushing emotions that she couldn't stop even if she tried. "I love you Azzo. I've loved you, and Niflhel, for a very long time. I'll be the best wife, I promise."
More sniffling as she laid her head against his collarbone, having long ago forgotten about the vanishing sun behind him and the bright North star twinkling down on them from above. "I don't know if I could be any happier than I am right now."

Her knight didn't seem to mind as he returned her affections. He shifted a little bit when the kissing finally stopped and he started laughing at her question, "Heavens no. Though I can't say they didn't give me a horrible idea."
He was grinning a little bit, "Well at least Mato may have given me an idea."
When she said she loved him he nodded softly, "I love you too Aurora." He placed another soft kiss on her cheek, "It's been a long road since we first met, and even when we didn't know we had met before."
Though there were a few moments before he smiled, "Just be yourself okay? That's all I ever wanted." He placed another kiss on the bridge of her nose, "You're already the best without trying any harder."
He gazed up towards the stars as she said she didn't know if she could be any happier than she was right now. "We'll see, you'll probably end up saying that a lot." He was trying not to grin like a silly goofball, "I wonder, should we have two weddings?"

She had decided, subconciously really, that in his lap was where she wanted to stay, so she settled in comfortably, though finally one of her arms dropped from it's loop around his neck, her hand coming to rest on his chest.
He was so romantic, just like every horrible romance movie she'd forced him to suffer through. Every word and sentiment was perfect for her, each reassurance just making her heart want to burst. Despite it being a half joke (or was that some serious overconfidence Azzo!?) he was probably right about the fact that she'd probably be parroting, and sincerely meaning, her exclaimation of happiness over and over again. Hopefully forever.
"Two weddings are probably for the best." She agreed only now finally seeming to get rid of the sniffles and completely dry her cheeks. "For sure we need something for our families. But we have so many friends that... well.. I wouldn't know how or who to send the invitations to. So another small ceremony in space wouldn't be a bad idea."
"What do you think about Snowball as a flower kitty and Merlin as a ring bearer" She mused thoughtfully.
"Ughhh.. They're going to be so smug.." She stated after a moment, her nose wrinkling as she finally thought of her brothers. Half of her was tempted to not show them the ring so they wouldn't gloat like they had something to do with it. But as if she'd be able to hide the news. No, Aurora was most certainly going to be floating on cloud nine for the rest of their time in Alaska. And probably weeks.. maybe months after that. Plus they'd see the ring. Oh the ring!
Her attention finally turned again to the red box that she'd forgotten about in her flood of tears and clumsy affections. "How long have you had that..?" She fished softly.

He didn't mind her wanting to stay in his lap. One arm was wrapped around her while the other was sitting behind him. He nodded when she said two wedding are the best. He chuckled, as she talked about ideas. "Yeah Snowball and Merlin for the family wedding." He agreed with a nod.
Though there was a pause, "The other wedding though . . . I think a certain Guardian should do the marrying. After all he's looked after you and your best interests for how long?" Azzo wasn't about to completely deny he was still being a little on the cautious side just because no one had come by yet to shoo them off didn't mean someone wouldn't.
He started laughing, "The only one that might end up being smug is the two trouble makers or Mato. I doubt Tokala or Lallo would be that bad." Obviously Tokala and Lallo were his favorites for the time being. "I'm worried how my father's going to act though. You know how he is, and while he might not be that bad with you; that'll be stress I don't care about." He muttered softly.
He paused when she asked how long he'd had that. "Well, to be honest, this was gram's ring. She gave it to me a few months ago when I was talking to her about it. She wanted you to have it for the engagement and then you could pick out your own wedding ring. This way we could spend more money on a ring you'd want to wear forever."
He smiled softly, "I hope that's okay."
