"Is that so?" he asked following the mare without hesitation. "And you sure Gregor will not frighten mother? He is most imposing figure." At that he puffed up his chest and spread his wings for emphasis.

Akis burst out laughing at that idea. Gregor, frightening Zahavah.... "Oooh! Good one!" she giggled. "Mum being scared.... that's... that's priceless! Mum isn't scared of anything. She's stronger than that."

Akis started to reassure him then paused and considered it for a moment. "You know... I don't know. I've never brought a stallion home before. It'll be a new experience!"

"You should," Akis grinned at him. "I wouldn't bring just anyone home. You've impressed me quite a bit. Even if you aren't a tasty fish." Besides, it had been awhile since she had returned home and checked in with the family.

Akis considered admitting that she had only really thought about bringing him home so that Zahavah would adopt him into the family. Once her mother got her hooves on someone, she never that the poor sod go. That thought caused Akis to grin. "Take it as a compliment all you like," she told him, impishly. "The second challenge comes after you impress my mother. If you can impress her, then escape her, I will consider you worthy of courting me."

Akis grinned. "Mum likes to keep the people she likes. It's cool, though. If she likes you, she'll take care of you. And she let me and Addy go off to explore. We just have to pop home every so often and check in on her."
