He held up his hands in a gesture of submission, one of them still holding the apple.
"Gotcha," said Chance hastily as he lowered them again. "So it's all about the here and now." He gave a little nod of approval. "I can dig that. She wants him to know that here and now, if he dropped everything and came to her, that she'd be there and waiting."

"Wow. Outstanding. The peon can learn." She said with as much arrogance as the sentence conveyed. She ate another piece of peach before going on. "So there you have it. If you need cliff notes for later, I have flash cards ready."

Chance took the arrogance with a grain of salt and ate another bite of his apple.
"Thanks for that," he said, with a touch of dryness. "So, do you have anyone that you relate to this song with, then?"

" Absolutely not." She said flatly with a wave of her hand. "I already found my destined Prince, and he of course accepted me right away. It was no contest." She finished her meal and set it aside. "Honestly, imagine me pining so pitifully for someone, going through strife and suffering. So unseemly." Yet she'd defended the song not a moment before."I'd never spend such energy!" She spends it all on stalking and obsessive scrap-booking.

He raised his brows.
"Finding your prince is good," said Chance mildly. "Not everyone is able to do that, so good on you for finding someone so quickly. I assume that makes you a princess?" he asked, eyes twinkling, because something told him he already knew the answer to that.

"Well, I was a princess before I met him. So really, it was only natural that he and I became a couple." She said with a smug air about her. "I deserve only the best." She opened the book to a page where she had written the man's name over and over, adorned it in her own fan art of them and everything imaginable. "As you can see, he is handsome and perfect." She turned a page littered with photos of him.

He couldn't figure out if she was actually a princes or not - somehow he doubted it - but it was kind of endearing, so Chance wasn't about to make a big deal out of it. Instead he glanced down at the page that she was showing him, and his eyebrows rose.
"Edgar," Chance read aloud, fighting amusement. There were so many pictures. "A very fitting, ah, princelike name. Sounds like the two of you are quit literally made for each other."

She could sense the restrained amusement, and the stumbling of words. She was not completely void of a clue. So the man was given a saucy glare anyway, just in case. He was at least given props for abstaining from spewing any deliberate sass her way. "Indeed." She said with thinned patience. She would not bother showing him her journal dedicated to her dolls. Save that for someone more worthy of doll appreciation. "You know I am showing you all this for your own good, yes? To teach you about the truest of True Love!"

Chance just smiled placidly at Kiki, because, in spite of her snippiness and mild arrogance, he kind of liked her. She was, at least, honest with who she was and what she liked, which he couldn't help appreciate and find endearing.
"Yes, I do," said Chance quickly, holding up his hands. "Honestly. I really enjoy learning about this sort of thing, I promise, and I don't lie."

He laughed lightly, unperturbed by her hand slam - though he did hastily drag his half-eaten bag of chips away, just in case it came into the line of fire.
"I don't," said Chance, smiling at Kiki. "I've never seen the point, really."

"Well, sir, no one is perfect." She narrowed her eyes. "Whether you lie or not, there is something wicked about you in there. Something flawed, imperfect or disgusting. And I shall find it." Catching herself being less than flowery, she put on a bright and cute smile. "It's a promise~!" She giggled, then clapped her hands together. "Silly me! I got distracted. Right, so love." Because why not. "Hmm.. what else is there to discuss..."

"I can tell you right now," Chance said with a smile. "I'm not perfect in any way. You're free to ask me what you wish, I promise to answer it truthfully."
He rested his elbows on the table and linked his fingers together, resting his chin on top of them.
"What are signs of love?" Chance asked. "Like...how do you know if you're in love or not?"

"Is that so? I heard a popular Get To Know You game is 20 questions. I have compiled a list of 100 of them in my journal... Also, in the event of a Kings Game scenario, I have compiled a list of 200 things to make people do if I were crowned King." She said this all with a straight face. He asked a question! Yes, ask Senpai anything!!!! Actually, she wasn't even sure if this guy was older or not. Well, whatever. But maybe when it came to love she really was the senpai! Though in actuality she'd never been in love before. She just obsessed... over things... But he didn't need to know that. "Well~," She began, sitting up straighter, "When you are in love, you think of that person 90% of the time you are awake. They haunt your dreams. And when you see them, your heart goes fluttery and you panic and sweat and feel the need to bowl them over and stop them from breathing lest you die from your love!"
