After flower crowns adored all three heads and ice cream had been devoured, CJ found herself at a bit of a loss. Sure, it was fun having her Pokemon to enjoy the festival with, but... It wasn't quite the same. Plunking down on a nearby bench, and taking care not to knock Taybii from her perch, the girl pulled out her 'Dex and flipped to the texting thing.

"Let's see... I really gotta meet more people," CJ chuckled to Chevy, who just let out a little giggle of her own and nodded. "Hm... Oh! I bet she'd love this festival~" CJ jotted down a quick text and hit 'send', then looked around for entertainment while she waited~

"Hey Tambrey, I'm wandering around Camp City and I think there's something here that would interest you... Get your butt out here girl! 8D -CJ"

"Ah hey, she replied!" CJ chirped to her critters and quickly read it over. "Heehee, I love how she talks to me like I have a clue what she's saying." CJ knew that Tambrey stayed in the lab a lot and she knew there were always experiments and such going on, after all that's how her unique Pokemon were made! She didn't know, however, what the heck 'cytoplasmic calcification' meant...

"-- Heehee, as fun as that sounds, I'm sure you'd have fun here, too! Did you forget the Flower Festival was going on? I'd say that's pretty urgent~ --" The grunt replied with a smile, before having to quickly remove Taybii's paws off a kid's ice cream cone.

"I looked away for like, five seconds missy. How?"

"Pi piiiii!~"

"I don't care if he offered, you just had ice cream that you finished not five minutes ago!"

"Pi piii! Chu!"

"No, Taybii!"

"Chu."

CJ rolled her eyes at the huffy little critter and set her back on her shoulder. Chevy was sitting dutifully by, but looked very much like she was holding back giggles. "Oh you hush too," the grunt told her, which ended up just breaking Chevy's resolve and the Sylveon dropped to the ground to cover her giggling face. With a short laugh of her own, CJ checked her 'Dex and found a quickly sent reply. "Pffff, she totally forgot. BTA... OH! Be There As Soon As I Can... Bye? Probably. Looks like we'll have company soon gu-- TAYBII!"

The little Pichu was after a cookie this time, and the girl sighed. "Fine. Ya know what? We'll go get something else to stuff your face with till Tambrey gets here. Little rodent..." CJ added the last part with a smile, scratched Taybii behind the ears, and let the way to the nearest chow booth.

After a second round of ice cream, CJ had taken the two to wander around the flower booths for a bit to relax and to keep Taybii focused on something other than food. Too much and she'd get a belly ache, and a Pichu with a belly ache was not fun at all. Chevy was enjoying the flowers too, delicately tickling some of the petals with her ribbons, and occasionally tickling a Flabebe or Floette wandering around as well.

After a bit, CJ figured enough time had passed that she'd better head to the edges of the festival to find Tambrey. Sure enough, Chevy caught sight of a familiar face before the rest of them and bounded ahead, with CJ trying to keep up. "Chevy, what are you... Oh hey! What's up, Pahket?"

The Sylveon happily greeted Pahket and then turned to greet the others as well, while CJ grinned at Tambrey. "Well hey there, chica! Glad ya could make it!"

Chevy waved back at the little Eevee, then realized she had become a toy. "Syl!" She yipped playfully at Pahket, booping her on the nose with a ribbon and using the others to tickle her ears. From CJ's shoulder, the little Pichu wriggled and squeaked, wanting to get involved but unwilling to jump from such a height to CJ's relief.

"Absolutely! I was a bit lonely out here, and I know you enjoy things like this… Besides," CJ reached out to put a gentle hand on Tambrey's shoulder, "Ya definitely need a break from the gloom and stress of work. Flowers are healin, ya know?" CJ didn't really know much about flowers, but she did know being around something light and enjoyable could help take the weight off of someone's shoulders… And Tambrey looked like she was carrying the world.

CJ was well aware of what happened on the last mission… She was sad, of course, to lose a fellow Rocket, but she hadn't gotten the chance to know KO personally. Seeing as how Tam had been a part of TR much longer, it was safe to say it was something that would hit the girl fairly hard at the least. Even her sister was shaken up about it, and Luxury didn't even like guys at all. But, CJ did know a thing or two about death… and luckily, the plant life around here was for just that - life. Not death. Not funeral flowers. These were bright pretty things that should hopefully help to cheer the girl and her Pokemon up and lighten the mood all around~

Giggling, the grunt took her own flower crown and perched it atop Tambrey's head. "Here! The cream ones match your outfit!" CJ smiled. "I've seen a few battles here and there, and some really pretty displays for contests though not any actual contests yet… Wait, there's fireworks?" The girl couldn't help but light up at the thought of that~

The Sylveon yipped and mewled back, trying to avoid being swatted but getting caught now and then anyway. When Pahket hunkered down and looked like she was about to pounce, Chevy decided to try to lick her on the nose to throw her off, then pounce over her to capture her fluffy tail. She was so happy to have someone to play with, and she hoped the little Eevee could join them for fun soon too!

Taybii was fixated on the bundle of fur rolling around, and was almost startled to realize there was a Ponyta watching her. She gave a little "Piii!" and a friendly grin, then was right back to watching the fluffy ones. Sometimes the little critter just had a one-track mind...

CJ could only offer a sad and caring look, as she didn't have the experience to offer more. Not like experience was something good in this case, but... Shaking off the thought, CJ grinned at the possibility of brightly colored explosions lighting up the sky. "Sweeeeet! I lovelovelove fireworks! I'll have to put Taybii back in her Ball for them, but Chevy's with me on this one!" Speaking of... "Though it looks like right now she's much more interested in being a little goofball~" She gave a giggle to the Pokemon, then turned around to look at the festival. "So, miss Tambrey, what would ya like to go see or do first?~"

Chevy had almost pulled off her pounce smoothly, but Pahket was fast! In no time at all the pink critter found herself on the playful defense, and used her ribbons to try to fend off the other's paws while batting at her nose in retaliation. At once point, Chevy let out a laughing noise and just stuck both her paws in Pahket's face, waving them quickly in a very 'jazz paws' like manner. CJ had done this to her before in playing, it was her turn!

Taybii's attention was caught by the Ponyta again, only this time she noticed the Eevee on her back. "Piii! Pi pichu!" Excited to see someone more her size, Taybii wriggled around on CJ's shoulders, nearly falling off.

CJ nodded at Tam at the mention of her Pokemon, then nodded again for snacks. "Sounds like a plan! I had an ice cream a while ago, but nothin' since~ Though these two-" She had to stop to catch her wriggling Electric Mouse with a laugh, "Have had two cones and certainly don't need more~ I'm sure we can find berry stands for the critters, and for us... Oh shoot, that's a long list." Funnel cakes, cotton candy, deep fried everything and everything on a stick... as well as a massive array of ice cream flavors and fruit and berry stands were all scattered about the festival area.

"Pii PI!"

"Ack, Taybii!" The little Pichu had spazzed again, and again had nearly fallen off CJ. "Haha ok ok, Tam? Do you think Octavia would mind a little electric passenger addition?"
