He laughed, Chance swiping a hand through his curls. "I think if I had the chance, I'd like to learn how to play again," he said, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "I never really learned how to play in the first place, because I never took lessons, but it was fun to pluck at the strings and pretend I did."

He began stacking the movies onto the shelf, Disney first.

"Once I'm done here, you wanna try and see if we can figure out the shower?"

"If you ask on twitter, I'm sure theres a few people who could at least give you basic pointers." Because to Otto, music was as important as basic communication. It was just a matter of life to him. "I think it'd be really cool if you learned an instrument."

Otto nodded, "Yeah. Let's see what we can do." A functioning bathroom was in dire need of happening. "We're gunna have to take out the wall where the pipes are..." He groaned, looking in dismay towards the room in question.

"My poor walls..."

"Maybe that's what I'll do, then," said Chance with a smile. "I like the idea of me possibly being able to do something else with my hands besides draw."

He kept pushing DVDs onto the shelf until they were all neatly stacked away, and then he stood, Chance brushing his hands over his pants. "Shall we, then?" said Chance mildly, gently nudging Otto towards his bathroom. "Well, the knocking down part might be a little fun, you get to hit s**t, take out your frustrations, right?"

"Yeah, but it's the putting it back together part that'll suck." He sighed, getting herded into the bathroom; taking a sledgehammer from his took shelf in the kitchen.

"Another day, another trial. Destruction, first." He gave Chance a playful look, wiggling the sledgehammer in the air.

Okay, so from memory, the pipes were.....

"Oh," said Chance, and laughed. "Well, I suppose you have a point there.

He backed hastily away from Otto and the sledgehammer, Chance half climbing into the shower to give him space to swing.

"Ready when you are, hot stuff."

He gave a sigh, bidding his pretty white tiled walls a fond farewell.

And began to swing.

Crashing down came chunks of the walls. He hoped he'd only have to fix one part of the pipe to fix everything in the bathroom. He only had some foot notes to go by.

Sure enough, the more of the wall he removed, the more of the problem he could see. "It's like the pipes got jostled and dislodged." He said with a huff, letting the sledgehammer down for now. "It may be a simple repair after all." Just tighten up the fasteners, and he'd be done! He hoped...

He held his hands up to his ears as the crashes began, Chance watching from inside the shower with interest. The tiles cracked and splintered, shattering onto the bathroom floor, and the pipes behind them rapidly came into view.

"An easy fix is good," he said lightly, peering around the shower door, an arm resting against the wall of it as he stepped out again and came to stand beside Otto. "Just shift a few things around, and you're good to go, right?"

"Well, I sure hope so. If I'm wrong I'll have to pay a guy to do it for me." And that wouldn't be cheap. It was bad enough he'd have to fix this damn wall after. But at least he'd learned a little about that from Gale.

The blond sighed and dragged himself back to his tools, taking the kit back in with him and fumbling for the right one for the job. If push came to shove maybe he'd call his neighbour over for more advice, he supposed.

He began tightening the leaking and loose pipe fittings, shaking them in hand to test their sturdiness. He poked his head into the all, looking for any more signs of distress.

"Alright.. test the faucet."

"Yes, but spending money is annoying," said Chance mildly, and leaned against the wall to watch Otto work. He had no idea what he was doing, but it was rather interesting to see how everything seemed to work together. "Also, it's kind of hot watching you do all of this, just so you know."

Grinning cheekily, he padded over to the shower and reached for the faucet, twisting the knob. It gave a sputtering sound, spitting only droplets at first, and then, out of nowhere, exploded water outwards. Chance gave a yelp and hastily scrambled to turn it off.

"On second thought, maybe trying the shower faucet and not the sink's wasn't my most brilliant idea."

The blonde smirked, feeling smug about looking like a hot repairman. He felt capable. And totally attractive.

As Chance left to test the shower, otto only stared silently. Until....

Otto laughed at him. A lot. "I meant the sink, you dolt!" He grinned, his cheeks flushing in amusement. "Oh that was priceless!"

Looks like it worked!

Chance ran a hand through his dripping hair and rolled his eyes at Otto. "In my defense," he said, with as much dignity as he could muster - which wasn't very much, considering he'd just basically dumped water on himself. "I was standing closer to the shower, so that's what first came to mind."

He went over to Otto and reached out, wiping his wet hand down the side of his face just to be obnoxious.

"But hey, now we know that you fixed it," he said teasingly, and patted his cheek.

Otto made a face of disgust, squirming and smacking the soaked hand away from his face. Or, he would have knocked it away. His hand stopped midair, staring up at Chance as the man hinted at something and patted his cheek.

"Y'sure bout that? Lord knows what you n' me were dragged through last night." Otto himself had been literally dragged over the majority of the island thats to a grabby vine. Still, he wasn't opposed to the idea.

"I dunno... maybe you should go in and test that faucet again." He smirked. "That first test mighta been a fluke."

Yes, he enjoyed seeing you jump, Chance.

Chance gave Otto a pointed look at that smirk and the suggestion. "You just want to see me make a fool out of myself again," he said, eyebrows drawing together in suspicion as Chance folded his arms across his chest. "Don't think I don't know what you're up to, Otto Graves."

But because he was Chance, and because he really did want the shower working again, he gave a sigh and went to test it once more.

Approximately three seconds later, there was a similar reaction to the first given - a hiss of water, a slight gasp, and Chance came back even more wet than he had before.

"No, it's definitely working now," he said, and promptly ducked his head to shake his soaked hair in Otto's face.

"It ain't polite to make rude assumptions, Chance." Otto murmured back, his brows raised haughtily. Yet he watched with great amusement as Chance went back. And got soaked. Again.

Otto had been in the process of laughing his a** off at him when the man shook his soaking wet hair at him. He squawked, pushing his head away with another laugh. "Dude!"

"I would never make rude assumptions," said Chance loftily, but it was hard to act dignified when he had just stepped, fully dressed, into a shower for the second time in a row.

But he was smirking, water droplets flying everywhere, and Chance raked a hand through his hair, pushing it back away from his face.

"At the very least, you know things are working, so you don't have to use the communal showers," he said lightly. "As for the hole now in the wall, well..." He eyed it thoughtfully. "That'll probably need a bit of plaster or something, I assume, to fix it, but it was worth it to fix your room, right?"
