With Legacy turning his back on The Storm, gave him the time he needed to recover. With the assistance of the ropes, Matt began to carefully pull himself up. The fans provided a nice distraction for Shanahan, giving him the time he needed to rise up to his feet and stumble into the turnbuckle. He heaved for air, which was a task within itself due to his damaged ribs.

Just as Matt was beginning to push off of the turnbuckle, he was knocked right back into them by the blast of that European Uppercut! He fell into the turnbuckle, only kept up by his arms grasping the ropes.

Matt was gasping for air, just asking for a moment to recover himself; and just when he thought it couldn't get worse, he felt Legacy tear at his face. He roared in defiance and tried to force Legacy away, but the damage was done. His staples were forcefully ripped from his skin, opening the wound on his forehead that he had suffered from the titantron explosion!

Matt's hands immediately shot to his forehead once Legacy was forced away. He tried to cover up the blood, but once it started dripping through his fingers and onto the mat, he knew it was far too late to tend to this wound.

The Storm slowly looked up from his hands, revealing the open wound to the world. The blood was already starting to paint his face a fresh shade of crimson, adding a hint of intimidation to the snarling features of Matt Shanahan. The first thing Matt noticed, after he got over the fact that he was going to be bleeding for the rest of this match, was the fact that Legacy had his back turned to the Hall of Famer.

To anyone less arrogant, this was a clear mistake. But Legacy was sure of himself, and that would be his downfall.

The referee attempted to tend to Matt's wound, but The Storm promptly pushed him aside and marched away from the corner. While Legacy was ignoring The Storm, he attempted to grab "The Future" by the back of the head and pull him under his armpit, into an inverted suplex position! If successful, he'd grab the man by his tights and attempt to lift him over, aiming to bring him down for The Conversion!

The fans jumped up and screamed in adoration after watching The Storm land one of his signature match-enders! The Storm was bouncing back, and that could very well put an end to this match early! After landing, Matt rolled onto his stomach and attempted to harshly push Legacy over and hook his leg for a pin!

Matt snarled loudly as the referee proclaimed his count had failed; however, he'd waste no time arguing with the decision. If Legacy wanted this torment to continue, Matt would happily oblige. As Legacy was crawling away, Matt quickly pushed himself up to his feet. Just as his opponent would begin to rise, Matt charged at him and attempted to drive his knee into the man's gut, hoping to keep him bent over!

With Legacy finally back on the receiving end of the beatdown, The Storm was far from letting it slip away again. He wrapped his arm around Legacy's head and pulled him abruptly while falling backwards, aiming for a Snap DDT!

With a forceful shove, The Storm rolled Legacy over and got up to his feet. He stormed over towards the center of the ring, his crimson mask becoming rather hard to see through. He wiped some blood from his eyes, then taking a moment to look out to the fans now that he had some time to himself. They were cheering, urging him to continue. He didn't do this for them though. He did this for himself, tonight.

He let out a roar as he stomped across the ring, sending the crowd into a frenzy. He stopped at the turnbuckle and turned around, facing the direction of the downed Legacy. His right hand ran through his locks, spreading his own blood into his hair. He waited anxiously, praying for Legacy to stand.
