[Dorms] Al awoke with a startle and then a cringe. His head was pounding in beat with the blaring noise and flashing lights. He dragged himself semi-out-of-bed and looked absolutely bedraggled as a groan of dismay escaped his dry throat. He wined, internally, and froze in silence when he realized he didn't hear anything in return. Nuru?.... Nothing.
"Noah, Noah, wake up! Something bad is happening!" Not like the other man wasn't probably needing pried off the ceiling after such a rude awakening.

[IN COURTYARD]
Kostya got a concerned look from Rep, but right now there was nothing he could do, he couldn't even be sure what was wrong with Kostya and possibly Sasha, he'd advised investigation and that was all he'd been able to do.
Still, there was a certain fondness for anyone who would go and get drugs for him after a single request so he did add.
"Good luck mate, we'll probably all ******** need it before nightfall."

Maybe he ought to feel ashamed for having a girl Maebe's size try and carry his weight. But he was no longer accustomed to dealing with feeling ill. "I will.." He groaned, leaning heavily on her back. She was a trooper for even attempting it. "Just.. drop me if y'get tired... or if.." Or if there was danger and she needed to run."I can't hear Tenya.." He murmured groggily, not even trying to see where they were going anymore. Quote: Otto: Virus Counter: 9 HP: 50

She stopped, suddenly trying to listen for that grumble of warmth that always resided in her head, before coming to that sour realization. "s**t. s**t, I can't hear Thaw anymore either. s**t, Otto." She shuddered, feeling that bitter sense of vulnerability that always accompanied her whenever a situation looked dire, and grim. Thaw was her rock, her stabilizing force. She had become so dependent on him. "HeLLLPPP." Her voice cracked as she screamed down the halls, shaking with gripping fear. She needed to know what was going on - why their weapons had gone silent, and whether this was the case for everyone else. But most importantly, she needed Thaw. She needed Thaw. "Anybody." She clung to Otto with her arms behind her back, suddenly using him as more of a lifeline than she'd expected to. Her voice had gone tiny, and unsure. "Otto, I'm scared." dormitories"H-h-hey," Felicia asked, tugging on the sleeve of a girl who looked almost-familiar. Seen in the halls, probably. The familiar golden branches gave away that they were in the same division, and her coat was decorated enough to be a Full hunter. She worried about Dwight, but she knew him well enough that he was taking care of himself. "Do you know w-what? We should d-do?" [ virus counter - 2 ]

[ Bradley - Courtyardish ]
He skidded around a corner as a familiar voice pipped up. The tall hunter came to a stop and looked around for his cousin. It took a while (other hunters got in the way) but he finally spotted him.
"Wilson! Wilson over here!" he said, waving an arm and having his armor clink and rattle like a damn chandeler. Note to self, next rank, get quieter armor. Much quieter armor.
He trotted up to him. "Can't hear or summon Yzia. Dunno what's going on, but she's never quiet, not even during dishwashing duty." Bradley stroked the earring again with a frown. Where was she? Why couldn't he summon her? It was like... like she was locked. Or nonexistant. At least she wasn't the tablet again, but it worried him. He'd become used to her presence. Not having her was... alienating.

[ courtyard ]Now that he was marginally better equipped, he'd fled the dorms in favor of following the screaming. Lucky stared at the courtyard walls covered in vines, and curled his fingers into his hair to pull on it in distress. He swayed a little with dizziness again. What was he supposed to do about this? He could hear Rep yelling from somewhere else in the dark outside, and turned toward the sound. It only seemed to confirm his paranoid suspicions - the grail had wasted no time at all in finding them. He wanted to feel sick, but all he could find in him was an empty, twisted sort of acceptance that what was coming was going to be very bad, and very fast. Otto managed to break away from his own self misery related to his condition. He hated hearing Maebe sound so scared. His ears rang, but he tried tp push through it. "It's okay.." He tried to sound comforting, even though he felt like if he stood he'd fall off the earth. "I'm sure we'll get through it." They always did, right? "C'mon.. we'll run into someone eventually.. I can walk.." Quote: Otto: Virus Counter: 9 HP: 50

Even if he sounded like he was dying on her back, somehow Otto managed to comfort her the way he always did. She let out a weak chuckle, and hefted him up higher, her strength renewed enough to start jogging down the halls again. "Sure you can, slick." She muttered, stopping just long enough to bend in and kiss his cheek. "But then I won't get my workout. Also, if I get sick later, I am seriously coming back to kick your a**." She hobbled down the stairs with him, snickering when she faltered, thankful for the awkwardness of it all to keep her from thinking of darker, scarier things. Quote: Maebe: Virus Counter: 1 HP: 50

[ Courtyard ]
Eventually he ran into the courtyard, but Wilson was still calling out for his cousin—both of them, really—but managed to run into Bradley first. He pulled the younger man into a quick, worried hug before letting the other death hunter go. Wilson couldn’t help but squint at Bradley’s attire—why was he decked in armor at this hour?—but remained quiet otherwise.
“I can’t hear Dabir either. Whatever got onto the island must be causing it.” More silence as he reached out to press a hand to Bradley’s forehead. “You have a fever.” He frowned, and after a moment of thought touched his own. “I have a fever.”
This wasn’t odd at all.
His eyes seemed to light up when he saw a familiar spectacled man and reached for him. Maybe he would actually know what was going on. (Maybe).

Ugh.. the jostling was going to kill him. As they got further away from his dorm, down the stairs and into a hall, he felt his stomach get queasier, his head fuzzier like he might pass out. He told himself to keep it together, into the dark silence of his mind that once held Tenya. "I need to stop..." He groaned, clutching her tighter. "I feel sick.." [Dormitories] Sherry turned at the tug and the voice. A face she'd seen around, but she didn't know what name it belonged to. She shook her head, the feeling of wrong in her chest growing. "I," Sherry swallowed and shook her head. No Armagnac was beyond unsettling. "I don't know. We should probably try to find out just what is going on." She looked around. "I don't know if we'll find many answers in here." Sherry took a breath. "Do you have all of your runic gear?" It was always best to be prepared. Quote: Virus Counter: 8 HP: 60/60 1 vial of antivirus

[ Courtyard ]Shiloh and Ian were practically inseparable and it was next to him that he woke when the sirens sounded, and it was with him that he quickly got dressed and hurried outside. Haruko and Shiloh, however, were literally inseparable and the silence of her voice was indescribably unnerving, as though he had lost a piece of himself. It made everything different, it made it serious. There were no pajamas this time, no slow rise to action. He'd jogged outside with Ian in tow, glancing back protectively every now and then. He moved past people who knew nothing and could give him no answers, until he finally settled on a familiar face. "Lucky!" Quote: Hunter: Shiloh HP: intermediate Virus: 2

[IN COURTYARD]
No Harrison. No Tracey. He kept moving because it was all there was that he could do but below the surface there was a terrible, terrible anxiety, as if he was swimming over a bottomless ocean full of horrors and there was only so long he could tread water.
Was his heart always this ******** loud? Did it always drum in his ears like a ******** torment, like some kind of ******** mockery of his mortality? He was disgustingly human, disgustingly helpless and vulnerable, if even the least of the infected from the mall arrived here they'd be rent to pieces within mere ******** seconds How could they hope to ******** fight anything that came their way?
He held the runic dagger tightly in one hand, but it didn't make him feel any ******** better, all it'd do was buy him time.
Noticing Lucky he gave the other man a concerned sort of look and took a slow deep breath, trying to steel his nerves and failing. No Harrison, no Tracey and he'd ******** driven everyone else off. Sometimes it wasn't as sweet as he thought it was.

dormitories"Uhm," Felicia looked sheepish. She'd been distracted by other things not on the field, and now it showed. "I'm n-not cleared for any. Yet!" She'd almost forgotten that this was a military organization, and now, with warnings going off around them, it was impossible to forget. [ virus counter - 2 ]
