Chance took a big bite, chewing slowly before swallowing, a grin on his face.
"Delicious," he said airily, and then snorted with laughter. "Okay, I can't go on, the look on your face is priceless. It's like you've suddenly learned that the world declared broccoli as the national dessert."

"Okay, I will admit," said Chance, putting up his hands in mock defeat. "I don't actually like broccoli, it's like eating grass, which is relatively gross."
He ate another bite of his apple and leaned back, relaxed.
"Feeling less like a ravenous beast?" he asked with a laugh. "I hope the pie was actually good, whatever it was."

"Good," said Chance, taking a final bite of his own apple (which was not pie, but still), before dropping the core onto his tray and wiping his hands together. He smiled across the table at Otto.
"Wanna get out of here and get some rest? It's not like either of us had a ton over the past twenty-four hours."
Mostly because they'd been making extra good use of the tent.
