Naevius nodded. He was right. Staying out of the public eye, or any eyes was probably the best way to go about it. What would her father think? She didn't even want to think about that in all honesty. Would he be disappointed? Sure her father never had any of the snobbish-ness most nobles had but what about now that he was king? They hadn't really had that much time to be together since then so she really couldn't say.

"I won't give you up either." She thought for a few moments. While they were already on the subject they might as well talk about it... "Varinia might be able to help us. She's trustworthy in my experience. I think she could cover for us if we wanted time alone. Maybe when we go out to train and tame in the wild." It was one of the few ideas she had right now but she really did think Vari would help them and keep their secret.

Another nod, this time with a slight smile. How could this moment be any more perfect. She had been brave and admitted her feelings for him and he reciprocated! If that wasn't storybook then she didn't know any of those stories. He had a point on Varinia and in all honesty she really didn't know if Varinia had any battle training. The girl was tough and resilient but could she actually protect herself? "You have a point. And honestly, I'm not sure. She's tough and can stand her ground but I'm not sure if she can protect herself. I'll talk to her about it and maybe see about getting her some lessons in something just for her sake." Nae smiled once ore. "We've come so far since the war." It was true, it really was. Not just them but their nation as a whole. But also them, she thought somewhat selfishly. At first Seb was like an anchor that she hadn't really wanted. Now he was a welcomed addition, keeping her grounded.

"If I remember correctly, she said she had been a caretaker of some noble family's children. So maybe my father's advisers thought I was some child who needed taken care of." Nae said this somewhat sarcastically as she did know what kind of position she was in when her father became king...trapped in the enemy camp. Sooo maybe she did need a little taken care of but Seb managed that all on his own. "You're not wrong though. At first I would have totally tried that. I couldn't imagine having someone follow me around constantly. But it turns out you were just the best kind of training to prepare me. See, you've been my trainer all along." Nae said playfully. The swaying comforted her even more and she never wanted this moment to end. "I've never felt this way about anyone before." Not that she would have feelings for women but she still thought it was worth saying he was the only one ever.

Naevius laughed a little bit at his first comment, how correct was he? "You have no idea how right you are. When I first got to the palace, I had a 'strict old maid.' I basically to have a small army of handmaidens and guard with me at all times and I couldn't leave the palace not even to go out to the market! It was stifling. It took a little rebelling and a long talk with my father to come to the situation we're in now." She winked at him because she was pretty sure he knew exactly what she meant by rebelling.

She sighed, his words calmed her like nothing else ever would be able to. "Do you think we'll be able to go out taming soon?" She was looking forward to learning from him but also to having some alone time with him. True alone time.

A smile greeted his nod, not that there was any way she could not be smiling right now, after all. Where he lived? Well...she didn't exactly know where he lived. She had assumed he lived on grounds of the compound but to where his exact quarters were left her drawing a blank. Not that she and Vari couldn't figure it out thought, she thought wryly to herself.

"Well in any case. I think I'll be able to find it. It is late though. I'm sure you've had as busy of a day as I have. I'll come and find you tomorrow okay? And we'll go do some super secret training?" Nae said with a wink. Not that their "training" would be limited to the beast taming category. Although she knew it was late and he should go back to his own room, she hugged him tighter, savoring the moment while they had it.
