Stage 2 The trot was a slow paced one, after gaining escape from the pursuing bees, a chance for the both of them to calm down and take it easy for a spell, finding a place that could serve as cover along the route before the forest, just to replenish themselves with nourishment. Clyde had his head buried in the sack of apples while Damien took to the bread and cheese. The daydream of horrid stomach pain felt real, a phantom pain of days past that he was grateful of waking up from, even if it was from the act of falling off his mount, with Clyde snickering softy from the sudden noise. "Don't judge me Clyde" he replied, getting back on and preparing for the new days run. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 27/37 YOUR HP: 30/30

Stage 2 reroll Damien didn't notice it at first, the saying that a bad apple can ruin the bunch. The idiom that he didn't pay attention to and the few bruised apples that no longer looked appetizing and being forced to throw away, much to Clyde's whinny of dismay. "Come, we must get moving, forget about the bad ones." he ushered him, clicking his tongue and nudging the horse side into action. But he knew that it was a sad trot that the horse was doing. Stage 3 Fortune favors the bold, but it favored Clyde more than anything else, with a parcel of apples nearby a opening in the mountains path. It was a fairly deep opening with no end in sight from what Damien peered over to see. But, free apples to replace the ones they lost on the way. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 22/37 YOUR HP: 30/30

Stage 4 There was a loud sound at the summit, a new piercing sound making itself known. Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Why there were flyby Eagles around trying to pull Damien off the peak, he was sure was a safety precaution of the summit. the beast grabbing him by the helmet and tried to fly away. It could meet the firery end of his torch, and it left in a haste of singed booty feathers. A new item, onyx and gilded like its predecessors, found its way into the covered flap of the pony's harness, before the horse took the lead and made the trek back to Camelot. The satchel was primed and Clyde was already at the gate, ready to head out. Damien started at the horse bleary eyed and squinting at him. "Its a hour before we usually set out." he rasped, clearly not ready to head out and wishing to head back to bed. They have been heading out on the trail numerous times now and all the riding finally made itself known to his body. One that did not find pleasure getting up to meet its pains infliction. Still the Horse was adamant, and scratching its hoof against the ground of the gate. Stubborn thing. With a heavy sigh, Damien was sitting sidesaddle and had the gate jimmy'd open and he was off, with the brunette staff wielder groaning the entire way. Stage 1 It was clear from the beginning that Damien was not in the condition for the journey this day, but clung on desperately to the Pony as it did pony things. It wasn't even on the trail when he smelled the real reason why Clyde wanted out and it did nothing to ease his back or his suddenly queasy stomach. After a few minutes of heaving, it was a lame trot back into Camelot with the knight apprentice crawling back into his cot without another word. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 43/43, fail, restart. The few days of rest and plenty of fluids was what Damien needed to greet the day with aches or pain or accidents. He felt rejuvenated and in much better spirits as he worked the kinks out and head over to the guilds master who was waiting with Clyde. The pony was bright eyed and bushy tailed too, and after a few minutes of prep work, they were out of the castle stables an out into the open, ransacked land. The shy was still an ugly shade of black and the torch did not do much for a very far distance, but it was all instinct at this point, one hoof in front of the other and the map of scribbles. It has been a few days, the knight apprentice was much happier being prepared and ready. "OK let's go find the ravine and have a snack Clyde." he told the mount, proud to see it pick up the pace on the open field. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 30/30 YOUR HP: 30/30

Stage 1 The landmarks were the same, the fork in the road that came before the 3 spear formation of rock and to the right of it was the river and what Damien aptly called Bee central. They liked to stay far away from bee central, for the sake of their health and the quest. Nearby bee central was the landmark of the apple drop, the cliff side that always liked to scare him behind dense foliage that was the cliffs trap. It was the tactic that he fell for every time, thinking there was more room all because of the maps failures in navigation. And the ground was vanishing once again, hello apple drop. "At least we found it and not bee central Clyde." Clyde was not amused by his rider. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 30/30 YOUR HP: 30/30

It was the time of paying apple sacrifice for their journey, to the deity of the ground that seemed to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Damien clapped his hands in silent prayer before tossing a few pieces over the edge to appease the gods before clicking at Clyde to continue the way. It was up to the gods now if they made it to the summit, but the brunette felt it was off to a good start. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 25/30 YOUR HP: 30/30

Stage 2 The forest was not a place Damien enjoyed, it was a pain too get through and maneuvering the pony past the felled trees, trapping wires and of course, the drop spiders that demanded food as toll. It was not a fun experience, getting them off the armor and Clyde's mane and sides. This time the arachnids went straight for the horse, causing it to neigh in alarm and kick and buck the things off, a few pieces of food included before Damien could calm it back down to ride again. It managed to get its revenge on one, right between the hoof and the ground in all its squishy glory. He hoped it sent a message to the others that they were a team not to be messed with. Or that it won't incur the wrath of all the spiders in the area, that was nice too. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 20/30 YOUR HP: 30/30

Stage 3 The mountain had everything that was bad. Arrows that caused horrible body pains and snakes. Damien always found himself pulling his feet a little higher when the snakes were out, crawling from open crack to open crack. He was glad it wasn't the poisonous kind that he was aware of, but it was better to err on the safe side. This time Clyde didn't try to squish any, much thanks to his silent prayers and with them gone it was the climb to the summit left. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 20/30 YOUR HP: 20/30

Stage 4 It was the home stretch and the catacombs was in sight, the area where casket upon casket was lost in its halls. Why there were so many items in this place where the king was rumored to be around was unknown to Damien. No corpse present to have to mournfully bring back to Camelot, no king here waiting for assistance, just pieces of armor and a still missing Great King. The idea that the Eagles whisked the king away was a plausible theory, but the eagles never admitted it when they tried to attack him, It was best to grab a piece of armor and head back to Camelot to ponder over the theory. Foood With each successful journey and the showing of the gilded armor piece collected had the guild master grinning. "You seem to be on the way of becoming an excellent explorer." the burly man echoed in the morning, full of vigor when he slapped the middle of Damien back, a bit roughly for his tastes. "Too bad you've sworn into knighthood, but even so, you aren't doing too bad for yourself." and it was true, the pieces were part of a larger set that he was collecting, and while ornate, they did seem to provide a moderate amount of protection, and that was without the complete set. "i'm just doing what I can to better myself and our kingdom, sir. Damien replied modestly, flushing at the compliment, and the angry red welt on his back, to match. This time the knight had an uproar of chuckles when he handed to rations to him, saying that this time he'll get a challenge for the journey before departing from the stables. Opening the bad laid the challenge out fairly easy, it was a smaller than usual amount of food, not scarce but just a smaller portion of apples and pears to eat, no bread and no cheese, just perishables that bruised rather easy and can spoil just as fast. It didn't deter the lad from heading out on the journey with the items in tow. Challenge AcceptedQUEST STATUS Food remaining: 21/21 YOUR HP:30/30

Stage 1 Once was a whim, but twice and thrice was a pattern, now it was becoming an obsession when it came to the trip, to visit the chasm and pay the tithe. Damien was not going to snub the higher powers, they just wanted apples and nothing was wrong with that, other than having plagues of bees and arrows when they were not appeased. He would gladly take the risk of falling down a chasm over getting stung. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 21/21 YOUR HP:30/30

This time, Damien only pulled out four, that was the number of Apples Clyde was comfortable with giving up given the limited resources that was offered this time. The pony whinny'd when they were thrown off, whinny'd a sad sound at the loss of his favorite treat. "They are going to a better place, im sure." he offered, nudging the horse to movement.
