Her surprise was evident as she found herself face to face with a door! Apparently the hedge had been used to hide it away from prying eyes. Curiously, she examined the door and after realizing it was locked...she blinked as she remembered she had a key!! Using the key, she unlocked the door before finding a beautiful marble! Picking it up, she closed the door before moving out of the hedge maze, so thankful she had come here for a moment of peace and quiet!

My name: Fable
My faction: Nightmare
Small IC description of character: Fable is a somewhat small and dainty mare with a keen and piercing gaze. Her manner is distant, but intense, and she seems somewhat disconnected from those around her.
Oracle Scribe: here

Today, Fable is feeling confident about completing this maze. The sun is bright, even through the swirling mists, and she can't help but be soothed by the many flowers and trees around her. There is magic in this place, for sure, and she takes a moment as she closes her eyes to absorb the hushed sound of bees and flowers bowing in the light wind. An urge sneaks upon her to romp and roll in the grass as she might have done as a young filly, but of course she abstains -- but only with a wistful smile.

Yes... today she feels good.

Once more she comes upon the place which leads to the entrance of the hedgemaze. She cannot see over the tall bushes, but the quiet that echoes from the entrance informs her that it very well may be a long path, indeed. Still, it hardly seems a burden with such a lovely atmosphere to complete this 'game' in and, besides, she has always greatly loved solving puzzles.

In the end, she decides to take the key and leaves the rock behind once more. Surely her horn will prove more useful in the end... even if it hadn't yesterday. Her luck can't be so terrible two days in a row after all, can it?

Fable walks forward through the tall hedges, the key looped through the fastening of her necklace. She takes in the flowers planted among the hedges, the birds singing higher above, and the mists which swirl and cling to her hooves as if beckoning her further deeper. It all has a very dream-like quality, really. Perhaps that is part of why she feels so at ease.

Eventually, the single path opens up into a fork, and Fable cocks her head a little.... finally, she chooses to go left. She wanders for awhile, her mind clear and cool and without worry. She thinks of the festival, and of nothing in particular, until eventually she finds her way barred by a skunk.

The mare narrows her eyes a little. Could it be the same one from last night....? It looks as if to challenge her, but Fable snorts and moves as if to charge it with her horn -- and it scampers off with a start.

"...Thought so, little bugger."

With her path now clear, Fable continues on for a little ways. The hedge curls gently in upon itself until, finally, she is forced to stop. A large wooden door lies in her path, and she studies it curiously for a moment before remembering the key.

"Ah!" She takes it out, and unlocks it. Inside, a red marble glows at her innocently and with all the life and vivacity of any one of the roses she's passed on the way here. It doesn't seem edible, however.... and she wonders what exactly it might be for. Carefully, she picks it up and ties it to the glowing carved sphere around her throat, and makes her way out of the maze.

Just as she is leaving, however, she notes the tracks on the ground near the door and draws in a breath before narrowing her eyes. They appear to be the same tracks as all the others she's seen. Whoever could they possibly belong to....?

My name: Lapels
My faction: Nightmares
Small IC description of character: Though capable of making friends and being civil, Lapels does not care much for others. She is not one to trust, and is liable to leave her friends behind if it means an opportunity for her. There's a running a joke that her smiles never reach her eyes. However, she is fond of stars and flying.
Oracle Scribe: [ X ]

Lapels frowned, brows furrowed as she tried to hold back a headache from the strong scents of the area. At her feet she found a key and a rock; however, she had her trusty horn to use and left the rock where it lay.

You keep on walking until you come to a fork in the path.

Roll 1d6. If odd, you head left. If even, you head right. RP out this post then continue. Select the correct one from what you rolled in your dice.

There is a fork in the road. Lapels, being a hoofed creature in a magical realm, has no concept of utensils. She leaves it be.

If you head right you end up down the path a ways before running into rather large hedge which doesnt look like it will be easy to pass...

Lapels squints at the hedge. She makes a running leap and flies above it; alas, her hind hoof gets caught in the foliage, and she slips and falls. Her horn is stuck. She suffers.

Lapels is back where she started. She takes a key and a horn; more specifically, the key is stuck in her horn, but she won't tell anyone that and merely insists it is the latest fashion accessory.

There is a fork in the road. It is a big fork. Lapels wonders if it is a weapon and, if so, how one uses it.

Lapels perks up at the sight of the skunk. She's slain many a squirrel, and this rodent-thing will be no different. Sensing her prowess, it flees.

Lapels touches the marble, and sniffs it. It tastes of elderberries and hamsters. She takes it with her, to insult others always.
