My name: Fable
My faction: Nightmare
Small IC description of character: Fable is a somewhat small and dainty mare with a keen and piercing gaze. Her manner is distant, but intense, and she seems somewhat disconnected from those around her.
Oracle Scribe: here

The graveyard is a strange place. Eerie and quiet, and filled with mist that obscures her vision. It isn't long before it's so thick around her that she can barely see more than a few feet, and Fable wonders what it is she's going to find in such a place.

Eventually, she comes across the large boulder. The symbols have no meaning to her, though, and she wonders who could have put them there.... and why. The Tiny Folk perhaps?

Drawn by curiosity, she makes her way forward. But the mists are thick, and it's hard to know where she's going. The swirls of stones around her look almost all the same. After awhile, she wanders to what seems to be a break in the mist..... only to end up at the front of the graveyard where she began.

Well, then...

Fable finds her way back to the strangely painted stone and heads into the mist once again. Perhaps this time she will have a better grasp on where NOT to go, at least -- and it seems to work.

The clearing she enters is filled with hundreds.. thousands, of tiny colorful stones all placed carefully. She tries not to knock any of them out of place with her hooves as she walks, her eyes drawn to the spiral shapes they make.

A sound above catches her attention. A soft whisper of a noise, and it's only once she looks up that she realizes she's being watched. The Tiny Folk are silent as they gaze at her with their large eyes.... and it sends a chill up her spine. They're so still, and quiet, and lacking in their usual mirth. Before she can think to ask them about the boulder further back they leave her all at once. Only the mist remains to keep her company. Hardly comforting at all.

Unsure of which direction to go, she chooses at random. Her wandering, however, takes her back to the strange painted boulder and Fable sighs with a tinge of frustration. If only this mist would lift, just a little! She could make her way through unobstructed.

She's going in circles....

Fable frowns in dismay, and thinks again about the Tiny Folk. What were they doing earlier, sitting so eerily quiet among the colorful stones and archways? Were they mourning one of their own? She hopes, at the very least, that she can make it through to the other side.... maybe they'd be willing to answer some of her questions about the old Rammalin.

After quite a few turnarounds, the mare finally makes it back to the strange place with all the colorful stones. She walks among them, looking for another way forward. It's eerily silent, this time, however. The Tiny Folk have gone....

Only once does she hear the soft whisper of wings overhead, but when she looks there's nothing there. She decides, this time, to head toward the strange stone arches. Perhaps she will find something of interest, there. If she doesn't get lost again along the way.

Well..... she'd thought she was making progress, but she ends up outside of the stone arches again, somehow. Better than being at the front gate again, though. Not to jinx herself, of course, she hopes.

Maybe it's best to just keep moving, and not think about it.

The mists swirl and part for a moment, revealing a tall structure up ahead. Fable is almost dismayed, thinking she's wandered all the way back to the gates, again. But then, with a sigh, the mists seem to part in front of her entirely.... and she stares in awe at the tall pillars ahead of her.

What is this place?

The marble tree between the pillars is huge. She takes a moment to look at it before stepping closer and there, upon the ground -- those strange prints again! Fable can't help but feel she's getting closer to unlocking their strange mystery, but there also seems to be a ways yet to go.

Cerulean Gazer
My name: Cerulean Gazer
My faction: Citizen
Small IC description of character:

Physical Appearance:
Cerulean Gazer stands at 5' 5" at the withers (Almost 17 hands or around 167 cm.) His coat is a very smooth off-white with light rosy tinged stockings. He posses a long medium gray mane and tail. His eyes are a gentle cerulean blue. His horn is average length and straight.

Personality:
Cerulean Gazer - just Gazer to those who know him best - can be described as a quiet, observant, and gentle soul. He's more of a listener than a talker. Despite this, he loves storytelling. Generally, he is most often aloof, preferring solitude to company. This does not mean he is unwelcoming, however. Simply, he prefers the quiet. He's difficult to get to know because of his reserved nature.

Oracle Scribe: Gazer's Oracle Scribe

Gazer had been wandering idly, taking a break from the festivities of the gala when he spotted a graveyard off in the distance, though the details were hard to make out through the mists. As he wandered closer, he felt a tug. Not a physical tug, but there was something that made him want to investigate. Looking around he noticed that he was alone. If he got lost, no one would be any the wiser. Being a loner though, this thought didn't bother him much since it would be no different than any other day.

Moving forward he began his search. The mists didn't bother him. The fact that this was a graveyard didn't bother him either. After all, it was a natural part of life; death was inevitable. First, he wandered and ended up back at the entrance. Somehow he had gotten turned around, so he tried again.

After some time, he was drawn from his thoughts when he nearly ran into some unfamiliar looking stones. Though certainly quite peculiar, these obviously weren't out of place in the graveyard. These were not what he was looking for. The tug was still present.

To his left he spotted a large boulder with red runes painted upon it. The runes were sloppy looking and illegible, at least to him. Then, he noticed the small stone to the right. The stones certainly had an odd placement, but he wasn't going to give it much thought. Something told him this was just a small stop on the road that would take him to whatever had drawn him here. Without a word, or another thought, he set out and walked off in a random direction forward.

It wasn't long, however, that he found himself standing back in front of those strange stones. Perhaps this mystery pursuit wasn't going to be as easy as he had previously thought. The mists, or perhaps the graveyard itself, was going to make this difficult.

Whatever direction he had wandered - north, south, east, west or anything in between - had been in a step in the right direction. Or so he thought. He hadn't wandered back to the beginning and he hadn't ended back up at the odd stones. Instead he entered a clearing with more small colorful stones. The order of the stones wasn't random. This had been deliberately done, and someone had gone to a lot of trouble to place them since it was in the shape of a spiral mandala.

Looking around, Gazer noticed a few tiny folk watching him. He wouldn't speak with them, however. He was never one to start conversations. If one of them approached him then that would be different, but he didn't go out of his way to talk to individuals.

As soon as he began to wander closer, however, they silently flew off. He was now, once again, alone. Looking around more, he noticed that to his right there was a hazy collection of stone arches. They, like the rocks, were odd and strange looking. To his left, more mist, and no sound; not even the air stirred.

Since a random direction had worked well for him before, Gazer decided to try again. Setting off with no real direction in mind, and just his thoughts for company, Gazer set out.

After a short time, he became aware that he had gone the wrong way. He couldn't explain it exactly. That is, he couldn't until he finally noticed the odd looking stones again. The red runes that had been hastily painted seemed to mock him. He let out a small sigh and turned around and tried again.

As he continued on, he soon found himself back in the clearing. Well, at least that was a start. The tiny folk were still had not returned. It was for the best. He really didn't want company anyways.

Again, Gazer looked to his right at the stone arches and then again to his left at what looked like impassable mist. After some thought he turned and wandered toward the archways. Perhaps picking a more precise direction would help. Maybe the archways were a marker of some sort. Soon, he would have his answer.

As he continued on, eventually he found himself back at the gate. Apparently the archways were a bad idea. No matter, he would simply try again. Turning back to face the mists, he started back into the graveyard again.

His thoughts once again turned to the natural cycle of life. He wondered if perhaps one day he would end up in a graveyard much like this, with a stranger wandering aimlessly around on top of his grave. It was entirely possible. It was also feasible that he would also die and that he wouldn't end up in a graveyard at all. Instead, simply forgotten in a gully or ditch somewhere. He certainly hoped he'd be remembered, but there was no guarantee.

After a time, he again found himself staring at the gates. He was beginning to get slightly annoyed. However, he wasn't going to let it deter him. He was going to keep trying. That pull, whatever it was, was urging him on. He had to find out what was here.

Once again, he turned and faced the mists. He would keep trying. So, he set forth once more.

After a good long while, Gazer found himself face to face with the odd rocks once more. He was really beginning to hate those red runes. Yes, he was sure they were mocking him now.

Oh well, there wasn't anything he could do except try again. With a soft sigh of frustration, he headed further into the graveyard again. Hopefully he would find what it was he was looking for, whatever it was that was calling.

He was beginning to get concerned. He was completely and utterly lost. He had no sense of where he was, and nothing looked familiar. The mist was thick which made it difficult to navigate. Perhaps this had been a bad idea afterall, though he was loath to admit it.

He was, however, not a quitter. So, when he found himself face to face with the odd rocks and the painted red runes once more he simply snorted and trotted off in another direction. He would keep trying.
