 Zak shook his head, "No. No. I insist. With a stomach that large, I think it would be better to have more support. Don't worry about it too much, okay? Call me super protective or whatever, but I feel it's the right thing to do. And if you need anything else, just ask, okay? I feel responsible for you now."

 Luna couldn't help but smile and giggle. "I'm sorry I don't mean to laugh, it's just, I haven't had this much kindness in a while." she said smiling at him. Once she was in bed she said "Thank you again for your kindness. Though I never did get your name." she smiled as she looked at him.

Zak smiled, "Sorry. My name's Zak. What's your name? If you don't mind me asking." He wanted to be sure to call her by what she wanted and not something that someone else labeled her as.

"It's Luna. My name is Luna. It's very nice to meet you Zak." she said smiling before she fell asleep. She was so tired from not having gotten a decent night's sleep in a few days.

Zak nodded, before heading into his living room to sleep on the couch. He pulled a blanket over himself before drifting to sleep with a small smile on his lips.

The next morning, Luna woke up early and made the bed to the best of her ability before she went and started to make breakfast for Zak and herself. She was making her specialty pancakes, sausage, and eggs. She then went to wake him up before she shook him gently. "Zak......I made breakfast." She said smiling.

Zak blinked himself awake, looking a little confused at first, "Breakfast?" He sat up and rubbed his eyes. "You made breakfast? You didn't need to do that... But thank you." He smiled at her as he got to his feet.

Luna smiled and said "It's the least I can do. You've already done so much for me." She then went into the kitchen having already plated enough food for both of them. Since she was eating for three, Luna made a bit more for herself but not much.

Zak ate the food, sitting across from her at the kitchen table. "Well thank you. It's pretty good," he said, before remembering something. "Oh! That reminds me, would you like me to get you anything while I'm out? I work today."

"I'm fine. Though in a couple of months we will need to have a couple cribs somewhere. Not to mention bottles and all kinds of things. I've got the money for them I just need help getting them." She said knowing she would be due in a couple months since she was seven months along already.

Zak looked a little surprised, "You have money?" He paused a moment to think before continuing. "Then why were you being sold in the streets then? Couldn't you have gotten your way out? Or...I don't know."

Luna's ears went back. "Because I had not shown my true form. I might have been treated worse had I done so. Then who knows what would have happened to my babies and myself. It was left to me by my husband......he...was killed by people who came hunting on our planet. he was mistaken for hunting game and was shot. He died at the hospital when I was about 2 months along....he wanted me to come here for my protection. Those were his last words to me....." She said as she started to look really sad as tears started welling up in her eyes at the thought of getting a call in the early morning and getting told he was dead when she got there. Being told his last words, was too much for her to handle back then and it was still too much for her. She didn't even get to say goodbye or go to his funeral. Everyone was told that she was sent away by him for her protection at the funeral, but she had a feeling that thier families were mad at her for leaving.

Zak put a hand on his chin with a finger over his lips, listening to her intently. "I am sorry about that. I wish things were better for your kind here. I am not sure why people think the way they do with non-humans," he started up after she explained herself more. "But! I shall do my best to help you out as best I can. After all, I've never really had a roommate before, so it'll be nice." He gave her another comforting smile.

"Thank you Zak." She said before she hugged him gently saying "You're the best." She then blushed as she let him go saying "Sorry about that. It's just....you're the first one on this planet to show me any kind of kindness. I want to repay you but I don't know if there's anything I can do until the babies come." She then put her ears down in embarrassment.

Zak blinked, standing still for a moment. Then he smiled and nodded, "You're welcome. And if you want, I guess you could just watch the place. You can clean the house if you'd like, and cook what you want too." He hesitated toward her again. "Well... I guess I'll be back from work later. You just... relax. It seems like you haven't been able to do that in awhile." He nodded his head and walked toward the door of his apartment to leave.
