Bit's of mud being lobbed at her only fueled her on to move faster. Laughing as several seemed to miss her head and keep sailing onward. Miss-placing her next step as her foot slipped on the slimy surface of a rock Teiluj felt her heart lurch forward as she crashed into the water. V'demhe was right about one thing. She was going to end up having to get into the water eventually. She just wasn't prepared for it to be so soon.

Regaining her composure, Teiluj sat upright in the water her head and shoulders the only part of her that remained above the surface. "Haha I tripped!" Teiluj laughed. Soaked from head to toe in the cooler water.

Teiluj was surprised at how easily V'demhe could pluck her from the water. Blushing as the Alkdike examined her for wounds. She didn't get hurt that easy after all. It was a minor slip the worst damage that could possibly have happened was a bruise here, or a scrape there, and a little injury to whatever pride she might have. Shaking her head Teiluj gave a soft giggle. "No, no I'm alright, it would take more than that to hurt me." Flexing her arms to show she wasn't afraid or injured Teiluj walked away from the edge of the water. "I am a little tired now though."

Reaching up to run her fingers idly through her hair, making sure there were no tangles and mud hadn't dirtied it. "Are you okay?" Teiluj asked as she looked up at V'demhe.

Settling on the ground as she continued to thread her fingers through her hair Teiluj looked up again at V'demhe. A smile brightening her face as she nodded. "Sure, I would really like that." Turning her face away from V'demhe so she would have a better view of her hair. Blushing as she remembered the streaks of white and blue that colored her otherwise sandy blond hair. She was a mixture of so many things and it was still shocking for Teiluj to think that an Alkidike would want to be this close to her.

Clearing her throat in an attempt to rid her mind of the thoughts Teiluj tried to strike up further conversation. "What do you think of Jauhar, V'demhe?"

Favorite Alkidike? Was she referring to herself? It wasn't uncommon for Alkidike to be proud and full of themselves, but in love with themselves? Teiluj brushed off that idea, no V'demhe didn't seem to be that kind of Alkidike that she knew of. Her thinking was cut off as she noticed Dem leaning to the side to smile at her. Blushing Teiluj gave a small smile to the girl, closing her eyes against the feeling of fingers in her hair. Something about the sensations of having her hair toyed with felt good. "I'm not so sure my hair is really all that special, it just isn't dreaded like yours."

"I'm not just an Alkidike." Teiluj blurted out. "I have other earthlings in me too." Her fists gripped air between her legs as she allowed V'demhe to work on her hair. She sat there silently despite the poke. No, she had indeed had troubles. And plenty of them. She had been beaten twice by full blooded alkidikes in the market. She had been chased down, harassed, and rejected.

V'demhe hadn't been the first to insist that she travel with Teiluj. Isaris had also done the same. Refusing to let her travel to much on her own with the alkidikes about. And while Teiluj appreciated the feelings her friend had towards her, it made her feel weaker around them. Especially around V'demhe.

"It's okay, I need to learn to be stronger. Even if I have alot of Earthling in me I still have Alkdike and that means that I need to be strong. I can't buckle under the pressure."

Until recently, V'demhe would have been correct. Teiluj would not have wanted to be reminded of the earthling sides of herself. In the end though, the closer she got to Nkole, the more she respected the parts of her that weren't Alkidike. The parts of her that were earthling, blushing intensly at V'demhe's words she nodded. "Thank you, it's a comfort to know that you think I'm strong." Reaching out Teiluj rested a hand on V'demhe's shoulder. Her free fingers threading through her hair to find where the stones had been placed. Realizing that some of them must have come from V'demhe's hair.

"Thank you, I bet you did a wonderful job." Flicking her hair over her shoulder and blushing a little more Teiluj couldn't meet V'demhe's gaze. "How do I look?"

Teiluj smiled at the compliment and nodded her head. "Thank you V'demhe, it means alot that someone like you doesn't find me repulsive." Giving the girl an odd look when she coughed and looked away. Was she feeling ok? Looking at the embarrassment on Dem's cheeks Teiluj's antenna twitched. "Are you ok? you didn't get water in your lungs or anything?"

Shifting her body closer to Dem's Teiluj inspected her for signs of injury or illness. "It will do no good to hide it from me."
