Juan broke off in his singing to stare at the newest interloper. He was startled off his stride enough to say, "Tents?"
Lori jumped a bit at the sudden appearance and quickly shook his head and pranced a bit as if it was intentional.
Rynga twitched. He wasn't a big fan of things coming out of nowhere. Especially when they weren't lovely ladies. He could feel control of the night rapidly slipping through his hooves.
Pinza stared blankly at the newest stranger. What the heck. What was one more loon?

"Of course," the hulking water horse said with a casual ripple of his shoulders. "You are all clearly clowns, so where are your tents?"
"Wait - what?" Chrysoar wrinkled his noise not taking kindly to being called some type of goon. "I am an Entertainer Sir," he said with a haughty throw of his curls and a jingle of the bells that lined his sides, "but certainly not a clown."
Silverwing chuckled a little under his breath. Even he could admit that the lot of them looked a little foolish all gathered around Juan like this. On the bright side they were a load of fools together. There was some small comfort in that.
Rio just sighed and started to wonder if any other crazy events could happen here this day. It was shaping up to be a very strange day indeed.
"I'm sorry you missed seeing Idris," Vyrikyr said leading the demure flutter towards the water hole. "She's been out and about on some type of...mission of relief or something. To be honest, she never really explained the whole thing to me. But it's good to see you again! And you're going to love this watering hole. It's nice, quiet, peaceful..." she paused mid sentence. "Or...at least it usually is..."
Amaranth stared ahead and followed her friend's gaze, "Well, it seems to be somewhat busy tonight, doesn't it?"

Juan felt his lips twitching into a smile, which he had to quickly suppress. He didn't know this fellow, but he could already tell he liked the guy.
"Oh... I don't know..." Lori grinned his charming grin. Movement caught his attention. He turned that smile on the lovely mares that appeared... then his golden eyes clashed with another very familiar pair and that smile froze. He muttered a soft curse and quickly ducked down behind Chrysor. "I'm not here."
Rynga turned his attention from the debacle that was unfolding in front of him and smiled when he saw the ladies. Well, now, this was more interesting! "Ladies," he said politely. "Pardon our noise."
Pinzin heaved a sigh.

"Woah!" Chrysoar yelped as his buddy ducked down behind him. "Woah, Lori - not cool. Come on man," he continued in a hushed tone. "There are finally some very fine ladies here and you are acting like a fool, and, well you know, that's kinda my job!"
Silverwing followed Rynga and merely shook his head. He'd watched this scene play out a few times before. It generally did not work out too well for the amorous stallion, but he didn't have the heart to point that out to his friend.
Rio looked between the new stallions, the new mares, and the no longer crying but now looking amused mini. He took the opportunity to quietly and quickly step away from the mini and take a moment to try to wipe the lingering salt water from his coat.
"Yeah, this is a bit busier than usu-" the mare paused as she spotted a somewhat familiar feather brain. "You have got to be kidding me." She unfurled her wings and leaped to the air, flitting around to get a better view of the situation, "I thought hide and seek was a game reserved for young fillies and colts," she commented dryly confirming it was indeed a former acquaintance.
"Is lacking in honor to hide from beautiful woman," Gregor commented sagely. "Not to mention most foolish to hide so obviously."
Amaranth gasped softly as Vyrikyr took off. "Alright," she said softly to herself, "I suppose I'll be taking drink by myself now." She shook her head as she slowly lowered her neck to the pool to drink.

Lori managed a smile when Vyriki landed beside him and laughed shakily. "My dear! What a pleasure to see you here in this charming place... Have you met my companion, Chrysor?" he nudged his golden friend forward in a silent demand that the other stallion take the brunt of her attention. Yes, he was aware that he was sacrificing his friend. No, he didn't feel a shred of guilt over it.
Juan somehow managed to tuck himself under one of Gregor's wings. "Oooh, this is gonna be good," he chortled, partially to himself and partially to his new companion.
Rynga arched a brow when one mare seemed to recognize the pink stranger. He debated feeling miffed that she wasn't paying attention... then decided instead to see this alleged match making master at work.
The pink idiot was doing something idiotic. What a surprised. See how shocked he was? With a snort, Pinzin eased himself out of the crowd that was forming and found himself standing near the blue mare. He glanced over her curiously, trying to gauge if she would mind him standing so close to her.

"Hi, I'm Chrysoar," he said with a huge grin. "You know, with those wings you look like you'd be pretty light on your feet. You know, because you can fly?" he grinned waiting for his line to land. It did not.
Vyrikyr was not deterred and pushed her way past the grinning fool, "Still playing the same old games?" she demanded dryly. "I would have hoped you'd gained some substance by now."
Gregor shrugged, "Gregor no understand why a stallion would hide from beautiful, fiery woman. Especially when woman is chasing after him. Seems that is best time to embrace beautiful woman, da?"
Silverwing plopped over by his poor forgone friend to get front seats to the new drama playing out before them. "I got 10 on the mare putting a hoof up his a** before the sun goes down," he whispered.
Rio could hardly pull his eyes away from the event - it was like watching a huge accident unfurl. He wasn't typically drawn to this type of thing, but to be honest - it wasn't a typical type of day. Not even close.
Amaranth raised her head slowly and gasped a little, having previously failed to notice the stallion approach her. "Oh, well, hello there!" she said cheerfully. "My name's Amaranth - I'm a little new to the area..."

Lori gave a bright grin and chuckle, falling back on his tried and true airhead act. "Why would I hold substance when these old games have served me well?" he asked, lightly. "I assume you haven't found a worthy partner yet?"
"No bet," Rynga retorted, also watching the events. "The sun's nearly down. 20 on him walking away with two black eyes."
Juan nodded. "Though... if you've got a filly that lovely chasing you, then why wouldn't you run? Ladies like that like the chase."
Pinzin blinked at her when she spoke and offered the closest thing he could to a polite smile. He couldn't exactly respond with his own name. He did manage a curious hum.

"Oh, that's cute - the deflection game again. Anything gets too close to you and you just go and change the subject - throw out a distraction. That won't work forever, you know that, right?" the mare ruffled her feathers.
"What are you talking about?" Chrysoar asked curiously. "That's just what Lori does - he flits from thing to thing spreading love and...well, good times!" He nodded in the affirmative, "And we're all up for a little fun, love, and good times! Right? Am I right?"
"Seriously?" Silverwing demanded flashing a disbelieving look at the puny offering. "Come on, if he had a third eye she'd blacken all of them. I say she plucks at least a few feathers along with it."
Rio couldn't believe what he was hearing, especially between Silver and Rynga - those two were treating this whole thing as a bit joke. Then again, maybe it really was and no one had clued him in on it.
"Maybe, but the best things happen once they catch you," Gregor laughed, loud and clear uncaring who hear. All was just big joke besides.
Amaranth smiled thinking it was sweet that such an imposing stallion seemed to be of all things shy. She continued on in a quiet voice trying to remain unobtrusive in the face of the nearby drama, "I've actually been traveling around for quite a while. I mean I've been here before but it's been a little while since and I haven't been here for any long period time at all..."

"You are absolutely correct, Chrysor my friend!" Lori agreed, more than happy to let his companion take the brunt of the mare's attention. Though she didn't seem inclined to spread the honor.
"I'll see your feathers and raise you some curls. He's clearly got enough to spare."
Juan chuckled. "I like you, Big Purple," he informed the kelpie. "You know where it's at."
....What the heck were those idiots doing now? No... wait... maybe the mare would kill both the dunderheads and Pinzin would finally be free! Except he couldn't let them die.....ugh. He shook his head slightly and tried to focus on what the blue mare was saying. Something about traveling...

"You want to live a lie, you suit yourself," Vyrikyr wrinkled her nose, such trickery and hypocrisy not sitting well with her. "Though it seems wrong that you pull so many down with you. You talk of love, but are too scared of the thing to know anything about it. And I think, on some level, you know that....that's why you hide. And by the way, you're louse at that too."
"My good lady you are clearly mistaken," Chrysoar piped up. "Lori is totally the love expert!"
Silverwing let out a low whistle, "Now those are some high stakes you're getting into..."
"Um, guys," Rio said quietly edging over toward the red and blue stallions. "If you really think she's going to tear into him...should we, um, try to help?"
Gregor gave curious look to little fellow, "Of course Gregor knows where it's at. All is right here. Easy to find, yes?"
"I always wanted to travel," Amaranth carried on softly. "But I never really thought I would have the chance, especially being a flutter, it can be a little challenging and...perhaps dangerous in some ways...but so far I've manged well. Even made a few friends along the way that I am very grateful for."

Lori flashed a grateful smile at his loyal friend, using the moment to hide his own flash of irritation at the mare. "Tell me, my dear, have you ever been in love?" he asked, pleasantly. "Really, truly in love? Since last we met, that is."
Rynga looked at the dear, sweet, innocent Rio... and burst out laughing. "Why would we help? This is far more entertaining!"
Juan laughed a bit. "Too right you are!" he grinned at Gregor.
Pinzin nodded a bit at the mare that was still talking at him. He was only hearing half of what she was saying, the other half of his attention still on the fluff heads that he was reluctantly traveling with. He was fairly certain he wouldn't help them, but he sure didn't want to miss it if the mare popped either of them in the nose.

"No, but I certainly haven't closed myself off to it either," the mare said tossing her mane. "Nor have I attempted to deflect from my own short comings through boisterous acts. I yearn for adventure sir, I do not pretend to be a great adventurer. I lack such experience, but at least I own it."
"Hey, I'm an adventurer too!" Chrysoar piped up finally finding a point of entry into the conversation. "Maybe we could go on an adventure sometime? Explore uncharted land and all?"
"He's got a big enough mouth, he should be able to manage himself," Silverwing noted with a mild nod. Besides, they had a bet riding.
"You don't really think she's going to do any of those things to him," Rio asked quietly. "Do you?"
"Gregor think that sun soquili would do better to keep mouth shut at moment..."
"...and one of them was even this dear princess who looked only to help others. After some of the things I've seen it was....reaffirming to my faith in others to see someone give so much of themselves to others. For a long time I didn't really trust anyone, I shrunk down and hit from the rest of the world. It was all I could do not to pull myself apart."

Lori shifted slightly so that he was between the mare and his friend. As much as he was a fan of true love, and a believer in the attraction of opposites, he felt the need to protect his loyal, golden friend from the...er... lady in front of him. "As lovely as the lady is, I think she is not a good match for you, my friend. No you for her," he murmured to Chrysor. To Vyrikyr he added, "Out of curiosity, what makes a great adventurer if not the thirst for adventure?"
"Of course I do," Rynga scoffed. "Otherwise I wouldn't have made the bet. Look, he's perfectly fine!"
"Ah, but if he did, where would the fun be for us?"
Pinzin tilted his head slightly in what could be mistaken as a curious gesture. He was really trying to better hear what the fluff heads were talking about now.

"A thrust for adventure is essential, but my making fraudulent claims that I am some sort of expert would be insulting...to myself and those I sought out to con," she huffed. "But you've always been deaf on these counts."
Chrysoar pouted a bit thinking himself an excellent traveling companion for the fiery female. She just needed to lighten up a little and who better to help her lighten up than an entertainer.
"Seems like she's ruffled his feathers just a bit," Silverwing muttered. "Though she's....maybe pushing him beyond his limit, if such a thing is possible?"
"This is the last time I listen to you guys when you say we're going out for a good time..." Rio muttered.
Gregor snickered at the brown one, "What is it you talk about? This is great time! Old lovers confront each other and come to new understanding! Is better than soap opera!"
"But...we don't really need to talk about that," she finished softly. "A dark time to be sure, at least things are much better now."

"I aim to make people happy," Lori countered, pleasantly. "I believe that love is a wondrous thing. You have made it abundantly clear that you disagree with my views, and I have made efforts not to force my presence upon you in hopes of making you happy by my absence. Yet, my dear, you feel the need to hurt me... and you wonder why I hide?" he tilted his head, curiously. "Would you not try to evade a viper that sought to bite you?"
"Oh... this is getting good," Rynga grinned.
"Signs of true passion?" Juan grinned wolfishly.
The mare's tone of voice caught Pinzin's attention again and he nudged her gently, trying to be reassuring.
