Chandra: Post 16

Looking over at her he gave her a raised eyebrow at the comment about scolding. She obviously didn't have to live with the sprite who was insanely jealous of ANY girl that came near him. And being at that age..where being sexually frustrated didn't help things..perhaps it was just a boy thing.

Sighing he gave a half shrug, not wanting to agrue the point with Syv as he did like the girl and didn't want to scare her off or make her dislike him.

"Alright....I'll stop scolding.." he stated the words sounding sour in his voice. Though he wouldn't mind Syv stealing him away, she was pretty.

Takoda Post 7

The monk gave Chandra a look that could only be like a small smirk. Chandra backed down to no one, or at least no male he had ever met. So that Chandra was conceding to Syv meant the boy must really like the girl. Trying not to laugh he instead focused in on the girls question. To fight without truely harming someone? It was a question he rolled around in his brain a moment before he turned and began walking to a spot bare with stones and raised a hand.

Forming three 'stools' out of earth he went to sit upon one of them carefully. He had learned the hard way to look for bugs he disturbed from him moving the earth before. "There isn't really a way to not hurt someone when you fight...but I tend to use water or air for attack, earth for defense." He explained softly. He glanced to his nephew, he knew that Chandra's preferred element was lightning.

Chandra Post: 17

Chewing on the corner of his lip he watched as Syv tried to befriend his sprite, not understanding women at all he gave his uncle a withered look and was met with a small laugh from the older man instead. Bristling slightly he was quick to remind himself that his uncle had ended up with a man,his mothers brother to be exact. So he wouldn't understand his frustrations with trying to befriend a woman.

Awen rather liked that the girl was defending her, telling Chandra off that he was being too mean, cause he was! She was just trying to keep him all to herself...was that such a bad thing? Sticking out her tongue at Chandra she went to lit upon the girls hand, still not wanting to get too friendly but at least not trying to pull on the girls hair anymore.

Takoda: Post 8

The shifter was surprised to discover she wanted to ultilize the use of lightning. It was such a strong magic... Tilting his head he wondered if perhaps she should see how Chandra weilded it in battle. It could be rather devastating.
"Air is primarily a defensive element, it can be used offensively..but its not as effective as the other elements. Lightning though..." Takoda trailed off trying to find the right words, "Its..used..mostly offensively. Fire is also offense, water is rather in the middle and earth can be utilized either way.."

Chandra Post: 18

He gave Syv a look that was mixed with curiosity and an eyeroll. He really had no idea what women wanted but at least Awen wasn't trying to push Syv away any longer.

"Scare? Yeah I suppose lightning is kinda intimidating. I always thought fire was the worst though." He commented as he snapped his fingers together to create a spark of lightning to charge there. Lightning was his preferred, it was fast and it hurt just as much as fire could.

Takoda: Post 9

Watching his nephew he shook his head slowly, he never acquired the desire to master lightning. Fire had been a major push for him to learn and even then he disliked it and used it infrequently.

"Any element can be destructive...you just have to be careful when wielding it." Takoda mused after a moment. "An example, a gentle breeze can be refreshing, but a hurricane ...when the winds get to be too much can be just as destructive as wild fire." Summoning water into a globe in his hand he went to drink a little of it. "I learned fire out of necessity..I do not enjoy using it though."

Chandra: Post 19

Catching that Syqvara was looking at him he snuffed the lightning out before he gave a little bit of a shrug at the question. "You have to be careful with it, and if you are trying to scare people off you need to make sure you don't use too much of it else you will just shock them...and in a powerful way. " Chandra explained wondering if it really could be something that scared people off. Maybe if they were close up, or in poor lighting.

"I dunno how well it would be to cow those and keep them away..."

Takoda: Post 10

Nodding his head he wasn't entirely familiar with lightning himself but he knew it was one of those elements that seemed to come out of no where and was only a cause for worry if one ever had experienced a shock before.
"I always considered fire...more intimidating.." He explained a moment looking to his hands, the beads along his wrist he shifted and rubbed with a thumb. "As well dangerous...I do not care to use it if I don't have to. I would suggest focusing on earth magic if you want a better way to deflect attacks."

Chandra: Post 20

The term 'shaman' was foreign to him, he had never heard of it and wasn't exactly sure what magic they would wield. After all he assumed it was magic she would be using since she had been curious about being taught but the word...was still not something he was use to.

Though he didn't want to admit his ignorance Chandra merely shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't lying as he didn't know any shamans...or whatever.

"Nope...only my uncle here and myself." Chandra stated with a nod. He wasn't entirely sure if his uncle knew of any one else either.

Takoda: Post 11

Takoda had heard of shamans, but they were not all that common these days, he heard about them mostly from stories his mother told him. Magic users who made pacts with the elements, able to summon creatures into being made of the elements...it was a terrifying power. At least to Takoda it seemed scary.

"Ah I am sorry I don't know of anyone who is a shaman. You may have to do some traveling in order to find someone who can teach you. It is an old method of wielding the elements. " Though to Takoda is was more an arrangement than an absolute power. "I can only teach you the basics however I am a Soul Linker by trade...thus my focus is mostly in the art of healing." the shifter explained feeling as if he may of dissapointed the girl.

Chandra Post 21

Chanda looked to Syqvara wondering if it would be possible that he could be taught alongside with her. After all he was still learning himself the art of healing. He wasn't very good at it as he felt his hot headedness got in the way of wanting to be compassionate and help people. But then again if he did train with her she would see him being rather inept at something he held rank in.

He would see about training with Takoda perhaps on his own and at a later date.

"Yeah Uncle is really good at healing, he was the one who helped Awen." Chandra piped up, proud of his uncle in that aspect though he did still feel it was a waste he didn't do anything beyond healing.


Takoda Post 12

The shifter perked up, he had been feeling bad that he couldn't help her find a shaman or rather he didn't know where to really start to look for one. But he definately could teach her about healing magic. Like a small child one could see his face brighten at the prospect of teaching healing.

"Healing is a wonderful skill to have, if you are interested we should arrange a time to go over what you know."

Chandra: post 22

Chandra chuckled and caught Syq looking for Awen who was trying to stay out of the womans sight by flying right behind her head. Leaning over to give the girl a slight nudge whilst glancing over her head to indicate where the sprite had gone.

"I am sure my uncle is free whenever, though I guess you want me to go and try and locate Korra for you? Did she wander off again?" Chandra inquired with a raised eyebrow. His young 'cousin' was prone to getting herself lost...

Takoda post 13

The shifter looked to Chandra a bit skeptical, of course it wasn't like his schedule was full but to assume he had nothing to do...kinda hurt. Still it was nice of him to offer to track down his prone to getting lost adopted daughter.

"Ah...if you don't mind. I am not sure where she went this go around...I am sure she can take care of herself but..." He trailed off realizing that he was ignoring the girl in front of him. "oh! yes any time is fine to be taught. Just drop by when you are ready." He smiled glancing up to the sky a lot of time had past already... it was probably a good time to get back.

"I am sorry to have kept you. I should be heading back home, but I look forward to your next visit." Takoda started looking embarrassed to have to break things off so quickly.
