Wynter lifted her head as he spoke and watched him walk over to a bookshelf, turning in her chair to keep him in her sight. When he handed her a movie, she carefully took it into her hands and looked at it as he told her what it was. "Yes, I believe I will. F-forgive my boldness, but um i-if I get scared would it be alright if I um hold on to you, she said softly, her voice becoming shy and her cheeks turning red as she asked him her question.

David smiled when Wynter said she thought she would like the movie he'd picked out. Taking it from her, he put it into the DVD player and turned the TV on. He blinked when Wynter spoke, asking if she could hold onto him if she became scared, then nodded. "Aye, that's fine with me," he said, smiling at her. "I'll keep ye safe, alright?" Sitting down on the couch, he patted the seat beside him as the previews began to play.
Wynter shyly returned his smile and stood up out of her chair to walk over to the couch. She sat down close to him on the couch and pulled her legs up to curl behind her body. Once she was comfortable, she shyly rested her head on his shoulder. "Thanks, David. I really do feel safe with you here. I hope my head on your shoulder is alright," she said softly and shyly, glancing up at him as she spoke.

David smiled again when Wynter sat down next to him, bringing her legs up onto the couch and laying her head on his shoulder. He nodded when she spoke. "Ye're welcome, and I'm glad ye feel safe," he said. "Aye, that's fine with me, if it makes ye feel safer." If he was being honest with himself, he was enjoying Wynter's company. He turned his attention to the TV as the movie started.
"Thank you," she murmured softly, loosely wrapping her right arm around his and resting her other arm across her legs while snuggling closer to him. Comfortable now, she focused her attention on the movie.

David nodded when Wynter thanked him. "Ye're welcome, Wynter," he said quietly. He was about to put his arm around her shoulders when she wrapped her right arm around his left one, and he smiled as he looked down at her, then returned his attention to the movie. He usually wouldn't watch it alone, so he was happy that Wynter had agreed to watch it with him.
Wynter quickly became engrossed in the movie, snuggling slightly closer to him. After a while, a particularly scary scene came on and with a gasp, she buried her face in his chest and wrapped her arms around him. "Tell me when it's okay to look," she whispered softly, hugging him tighty.

David watched the movie without expression; since Wynter was with him, it didn't bother him as much as it would've if he'd been watching it alone. He looked down at Wynter in surprise when she wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his chest, smiling a bit when she said to tell her when it was okay to look at the TV again. He put his arms around her and held her against his side, watching the movie until the scary part was over. "It's okay to look now," he said. He was still a bit amused by her reaction, since she'd told him she liked horror movies.
Wynter turned her head and rested her cheek against his chest. "Thanks. I'm sorry for my reaction. This is my first time watching a scary movie. I guess I didn't realize just what horror movies are about," she said softly, blushing in embarrassment while tilting her head back to look up at him.

David shook his head when Wynter apologized for her reaction to the movie, then admitted that this was the first scary movie she'd seen before. "There's no need to apologize, Wynter," he said, looking down at her when she looked up at him. "I usually don't watch horror movies because I don't like them, but for some reason, this one is fine. Even still, I usually won't watch this one alone." He blinked, smiling a bit when he noticed that she was blushing from embarrassment. "Ye're blushing," he said.
"Well, I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to watch a scary movie by myself. Or any other movie for that matter. After being alone for so long, I have to say it's nice to have someone to talk to and spend time with," she said softly. When he pointed out that she was blushing, she bit her lower lip as her blush darkened and smiling back at him shyly.

David nodded at Wynter's words. "Most movies don't really bother me, but this is the only scary movie that I'll watch," he said. He smiled when she admitted it was nice to have someone to talk to and spend time with after being alone for so long. "I know what ye mean," he said. "Sometimes, when I was alone, I would talk to myself." He grinned at her when her blush darkened at his words. "Ye look cute, blushing like ye are," he told her.
Wynter's eyes widened and her blush darkened another shade when he told her she looked cute blushing like she was. "I-I'm n-not th-that c-cute," she stammered softly, shyly hiding her face in his shirt.

David smiled when Wynter's blush darkened yet another shade as he told her she was cute when she was blushing. He chuckled a bit when she told him she wasn't that cute and hid her face in his shirt. "Yes, ye are," he told her, still smiling. "I think ye might be the cutest woman in the world." He was amused by her reaction to his words.
Wynter's blush darkened yet again as she looked up at him, nibbling her lover lip nervously. "Y-you really mean that," she asked softly, her eyes watching his face wearily. She wasn't really sure how to react to his words but she liked them.

No she's not. She's only had mistresses up until now. This would be the first time a man has shown interest in her. She's never been told she's cute. She's got low self esteem.
