"Their views on us are wrong, jester. Certainly you see that." It was truly a stunning sight to see the look on the Carnival God's face when his mask began to shatter. How she wished she would never lose that image in her mind. She struggled to get to her feet. Even as the dagger hit her and added to the pain she felt, she still forced her body up. With what strength she had she took to the air. Higher and higher Martyr went until she suddenly stopped and swooped down at Venezia, tackling him with a vice-grip on his shoulders, aiming to slam him against a few trees until they crashed.

Venezia did not think the Goddess had it left in her to stand let alone fly. She looked absolutely exhausted. He shook his head as she spoke. He couldn't understand why she wouldn't give up the issue. "Who's right and who's wrong anymore?" He shrugged his shoulders but that was his downfall. Letting his guard down that one second allowed the Goddess to clutch his shoulders and it was a backwards ride through some trees that sent pain throughout Venezia's body. Branches cracked, some snapped back, twigs stuck everywhere. It was a disaster. When they finally landed onto the ground it took them both a few moments to begin moving again. Venezia managed to come to his senses a bit quicker than the dragon-like Goddess and opted to move away from her. Every piece of him ached and protested him to stop moving. Yet he denied his body's wish to just rest and kept himself moving, knowing all too well when he stopped it was game over. He looked around and grabbed a branch, swinging it like a ax down towards the dragon.

The Martyr laid there for a moment, pretending to be in a complete daze. She listened closely to her surroundings and moved when the time prompted her to. It took a lot of effort on her part to roll away from the branch but she did manage. The searing pain in her leg though reminded her of the condition she was in. Still the Martyr forced herself up onto her knees. The pressure on her leg caused her vision to blur and swim at times. "You'll see soon enough." She grinned and picked up another rock, aiming for the rest of the cracked mask which had crumbled even more during their tango with the trees.

Venezia moved out of the way and stumbled over another branch. At least he dodged the rock. He managed to get back up quickly and resumes holding his mask in place, what little was left. It was such an insult to his pride to have his mask in that condition. Regardless, the God raised his arm and formed a few more daggers, tossing them to strike the dragon down.

The Martyr felt the daggers sink in and bit down on her lip to reduce the urge to scream in pain. She ached so much. And held little hope of fully accomplishing her task. Why was she so weak... What advantage did this stupid jester have over her? She struggled desperately, and perhaps stubbornly, to raise to her feet. Upon managing to do so she weakly pried one of the daggers from her wings and took a step towards the God. When she felt weakness in her leg, she quickly threw the dagger back at him before she came crashing down on her bad leg's knee. "...You will understand one day, jester... We are no different. I promise you this."

Venezia's reflexes were slowing down considerably. He was not up to par with his usual self and the slowed reaction time resulted in him getting hit with the dagger. He cried out a bit and awkwardly tried to remove it while keeping his mask from slipping with his other hand. "I will never be like you, I will not keep on suffering... I will not give you such pleasure."
Venezia took the dagger coated in both his and Martyr's blood and chucked it straight at the dragon's eye.

The Martyr went to respond but her words were choked by a shrieking wail of pain. The Goddess with what little strength she could muster, reached to pull the dagger out of her eye. Unfortunately as she moved the blade slightly the pain proved to be too much for her and she blacked out, falling unconscious to the ground. She would never forget this and one day would make the Carnival God lose everything he held dear.

Venezia stared with eyes wide at the Goddess as she fell. The feeling of dread weakening its hold on the God. His head felt lighter and he could swear it was from the feeling of wishing to pass out himself. Still with whatever strength he could, he searched for the presence of the Carnival. Upon finding it he used his last bit of energy to disappear to his home. His sanctuary. One where he would never be alone.

Beomia, along with her father Ryubix, Draconis Lightbane, and the General, Morgana, all grew worried when they felt not a sign of their Lady in her shrine. The four of them decided they would go to look for her and make sure she was safe. While Beomia, Draconis, and Morgana flew high above, looking about, Ryubix walks along the ground. frown on his face and his knife bared, just in case they encountered resistance in their quest to find their Lady Martyr.

Dervire had a daunting task assigned to him, and he was already hard at work plotting. Whenever he had a bit of brainstorm block, he would go to Martyrs temple just to sit and think. He wasn't going to make a move until he had a good game plan. It was during one of these moments that he came across the scattered notes. Scowling and not liking in the least the implications, he decided that he could brainstorm just as effectively while going to look for his Goddess as well as if he were just sitting in her temple. Dervire left with nothing other then a small dagger in his pocket to go looking for Martyr. Caitiff, as was his place, skulked oh so much. He liked to watch and spy and he was attempting to teach his daughter Andalae how to be as quiet as him. They spied the small group of followers heading out. Some flying and some walking. "Somethings happened." Caitiff spoke in a low whisper to his daughter. Andalae nodded her head slowly and the pair immediately began to follow the group to see where they were headed. It was impossible for Snakebite not to know there had been a fight. A fight with a loser that she just...had the most devilish sense of satisfaction of having vexed. Of course she hadn't really, but Snakes very nature fed her content in just knowing someone had fallen in defeat. Her wings flapped and her tail snapped as she flitted off in search of the fallen one. Maybe to mock. maybe to grin and laugh at. Maybe to help. It really depended on who she found there...

Another gaggle had gone to find Martyr. Medeia was probably the more 'devout' of this group, if you counted the number of times one worshiped at her shrine, and she too, found the notes. The lack of her goddess coupled with these made her leave to investigate immediately. Yanamari was noticing something amiss as well, and with others suddenly leaving, she too joined the group. The prospect of seeing suffering first hand guided her hooves along as she grinned maniacally. Jagger, meanwhile, who was always practically joined at the hip with Snakebite, had gone with her after sensing an epic battle, wanting to see what had happened. He had no idea what or who they would find, nor did he care, either way it would lead to entertainment, in his opinion.

Cearo was used to her mother's odd antics. She didn't pay any mind to her being missing due to she returned not too long after. But this time something felt off. When she found people arrived at the shrine and prompt left in groups, Cearo got up from where she sat and followed the latest group off. "...I'm sure mother is fine." Icarus took to the air, catching up to the others who flew. "If our Goddess has not returned yet, I fear for her safety."

Draconis finally spots Martyr's form on the ground in an area so torn up it looked like a war had happened there. He roars in fury and dives down to check on her. Beomia saw her mother's form right at the time that Draconis let out a roar. Frowning, she dives down as well, gliding low enough to ruffle the hair on Ryubix's head with how fast she was going. Ryubix speeds up to a run, figuring Martyr had been found. Morgana spies the other three heading towards a large shape on the ground. She flies down low enough to verify that it is Martyr, then she turns and starts heading back, thinking that someone should alert the others and get help to bring Martyr back home. It would be very very hard to miss seeing the large brightly colored General.

It was impossible for Dervire to miss the floating red balloon in the sky..erm..General that was. Not that he had anything against Morgana, she seemed to be very fierce as far as he had heard. But she was so bright! She was like a floating rainbow, tinted more on the red side. Dervire scrambled over a hilly rise then blinked. Lifting his hand to his head he scratched at his left cheek. "Okay... well..." He mused as he stared at Martyr on the ground. "Bet the other guy looks worse." He decided before heading down the way to see the damage up close.
Caitiff and Andalae saw more then Morgana swooping down. The quiet pockettu directed his daughters gaze upwards where they could see the direction of the fliers descending. "Found something." Caitiff whispered. "Someone." Andalae corrected her father with a slightly louder voice. The pair shared a look then headed off towards where they spied the descending ones disappear. The sight was utterly shocking to be honest. Andalae made a move to dash down to the battle-zone but Caitiff grabbed her by the back of the shirt. Holding her in place he shook his head and whispered. "Go quietly now. In case there are enemies still lingering. We will check and make certain no dangers are waiting for help to arrive. That would be the best time to attack again." He voiced his fear and Andalae nodded her head in agreement. The pair of pockettu began to slowly circle around the area where the wounded Martyr laid.
Snakebite reached back often enough to touch Jagger and keep him close at hand. Smiling slightly she followed the movements of the others, and came to a pause when she finally spied Martyr. "Oh..well now. This is unexpected. Do you suppose she will hold us to blame a little?" She asked Jagger while boldly sauntering her way towards the fallen goddess. "Those look like some nasty stab wounds in those wings. Whoever bestowed those will truly regret it later."

Medeia flew down after the others, a scowl on her face. Whoever had done this to Martyr would suffer endlessly for what they had done, and it wouldn't only be their goddess who inflicted such upon them.
Yanamari slowed as she reached the scene, though instead of horrified she seemed fascinated. "Hee hee, such splendid suffering," she quietly cackles, her crazed eyes taking in every injury and wound the large dragoness had upon her form as if imagining what caused each and every one of them.
Jagger kept behind Snakebite the whole time, and as they too spied Martyr's still form, he chuckled a little at her question. "Oh, maybe...if she does, we were only doing what we do well, yes? I wonder what the other opponent looks like...." he shivered a little. "Ooh, I would love to see how much the other party suffered."
