Berry winced a bit when the two stallions hit their heads together. That had to hurt a bit. "I'm sorry if I upset you both again." She said softly. "Truly I am, Just the move reminded me of the birds' move, and I'm not familiar with whatever customs and culture there is for winged horses. I can only compare what I learn with what I know. I've seen birds do that move. It's a trust and commitment thing I think, but I only ever see the birds do that move with mates. Even if you two don't love each other in that manner, you must surely love each other very much to trust each other in such a move as that. It looks very dangerous, to fall that far, to trust the one on the other side well enough not to knock you down on accident in the middle of such a trick." she said. She was getting the feeling now might be a good time to move on. She got up again. "Find shelter you two, don't let the wind chill you while you rest." she told them, giving them a kind smile, and started to head off.

Pulling his head out form under his wing he rubs his forehead with a tentacle then smiles, "It's alright, misunderstandings are things that happen and now that you've explained yourself I am sure Sleet will say sorry for reacting the way he did. He must be stressed about something." Frowning a bit, "Maybe it's because he's worried about his Parent's and if they are alright or not. I hope he finds them alive because if he searched for as long as he has and finds them dead or dying I'm afraid of what he might do." Thinking about birds, "Well, I guess I haven't watched birds that closely because I never saw anything like that. I've seen birds flying normally and or diving for food. Though I never saw any sort of birds do something that we just did. It must be amazing to witness such interesting things." Blushing a bit, "Maybe if I paid a bit more attention to the flying creatures I would notice more things then I do. Though you are right, we need to find some sort of shelter for the time being."
With a few huffs he replies, "Yes, I am sorry for snapping at you. And it's about a lot of different things just building up for a while. So I must say I am horribly sorry for snapping at you and acting the way I did. Same as Yukio Beck, I never saw birds dancing in the skies like that before, must be nice to see such things. Elegant as well as a sort of trust thing because both need to be in sync with the other or they could knock the other out of the sky like you said. Which is why we practice on the ground first to get everything we can in sync before trying it in the sky. We practiced so many times when we first meet that we wore ourselves out. Practicing on the ground and then in the sky so we have plenty of experience by now. That and we trust each other with our lives so we know what could be at stake if anything happens that we didn't expect." Getting up he then helps Yukio Beck up then smiles at Berry, "Shall you lead the way? I'm not sure how well we can after flying around, our legs and wings are getting pretty cold."

Berry looked back at the two. She couldn't leave them alone when they were so tired from their flight. Not out in the cold like this. She remembered a stand of trees and bushes that would help though, and smiled at them. It wasn't like her previous smiles. It was slightly less happy, slightly more fragile, though she did her best to hide it, make it seem like a normal smile. "It's fine. I hope you find who your looking for, one day, and I hope it's soon. I think I know a place for you two to rest for now though." She said, and began walking, slow enough for them to keep pace. She decided to tell them a story to keep them awake until they made it to the little shelter where the two stallions could recover their energy in a safer manner.
"Have you ever heard the story of Wind Brother and the First Bird?" She asked them, turning her head so her voice carried over her shoulder, back to them.

When she smiles at them he wonders what's different since she had smiled before and maybe it looked different? For some he just thinks something might be wrong though isn't sure if he should point it out or not so he keeps his mouth shut for the time being just hoping to get someplace to rest a while. Nodding his head and smiling, "I can't wait till we get to the shelter, though I never heard of that story before." He slightly hangs his head since before he started following Yukio Beck he was practicing something that tired him out a bit. Now having just finished a sky routine he's a little more tired then he wishes he was.
Having some what more strength than his friend he gets closer to him so he can lean on him for support which he does. Wrapping his wing snugly around him before blinking at Berry, "I've never heard of that story either, though I am more then interested to hear about it. I'm sure Sleet is just as interested though he appears to be a little too tried to say so. Though maybe a story will help him to feel better." Thinking about how tired Sleet is he wonders about how cold everyone is, "Hey Berry, are you starting to get cold? If so we can fit you in-between the two of us to keep you warm as well. The more the merrier right? And who doesn't like a snuggle buddy, other then the ones that don't like being touched that is." Smilingly he slightly blushes for feeling like he tripped over his words, or sounded strange or maybe he was too forward?

Berry shook her head a bit. "I'm fine. You two need shelter though." she replied, leading them towards the thicket where they'd be safer from the cold while they recovered.
"The story goes that Long Ago, Wind Brother made the first bird without the permission of the other great Spirits. He was very careful about it. He stole Sister River's song, He stole the color from the Wildflowers, He stole the white fluffy seeds he sometimes scattered for Grandfather Earth and some flaking Bark from Grandfather Earth's Children, the Trees. From these he made the first bird. First from the fluffy white seeds came her Body, white as the fluff. Brother Wind gave her Sister River's song, and she sang so beautifully. He gave her the colors of the Wild flowers so she'd be bright and all could admire her, and the bark so she could live in the trees, safe from predators." Berry told the story. It was one of her favorites, that was easy enough to tell by her voice as she wove the story with a fond familiarity and much retelling some time in the past.
"But the other Spirits found out what Wind Brother had done. They wanted to destroy his first child. They made her heavy as a stone. She couldn't escape the preditors, and would surely be dead soon. But Brother Wind is a Trickster. He figured out a way to help, He blew, and blew, and blew some more. He blew so hard that the little bird almost got blown over, but then she opened her wings to try and steady herself, and she got blown right up into the sky. Brother Wind taught her to fly. She could not shed the weight from the other spirits though, but as long as there was wind under her wings, she could escape any danger and live. in gratitude, She plucked some of her own feathers and gave them back to Wind Brother. From those feathers he made all the other birds. The Strong Hawks, the Sweet-singing Songbirds, the sly and cunning Ravens and Crows. All of them. Story goes That The first bird is still alive somewhere, dancing with Wind Brother when she pleases."
As Berry finished telling the story, she spotted the thicket that would keep the two stallions from getting too cold. "Ah, there's some shelter." she said, looking back at them again. "You two should be safe from the cold in there. The trees are so close together the branches protect from the snow, and the bushes seem high enough to protect from the cold wind while you two recover your energy. A cave would be better still but I'm not sure where one is around here, so this will have to do for now."

Smiling brightly, "Wow, I'm so glad you knew that story to tell us. I feel like I could listen to that story over and over and over again. If I remember it I could pass the story on to others I would tough who knows how much of it I will remember. At least with Sleet here we can remember the parts that we can and tell what we can to others." Nuzzling Sleet he then helps him down to rest as long as he needs to rest. Then lays down to rest a good while himself while letting everything sink in some more. Smiling at Berry some more, "It's perfect, we don't know this area very well either so this will do very nicely. Any bit of shelter feels better then no shelter at all so thank you."
Nodding his head he leans against Yukio Beck smiling at Berry, "Yes, thank you for the story and thank you for helping us to this shelter. It's much better then no shelter at all like Yukio Beck said." Looking at his very close friend, "Thanks for helping me, it's nice to have someone around to get help from when I need it. The same must go for you as well since I'm here if you need my help. So I am sure we can remember the story together if we think about it enough." Then looking at Berry again, "It's also really nice to have a new friend as well, one that is willing to help us out when we need it. So are you sure you don't need any help? And like Yukio Beck offered, you cay lay between us so we can all keep each other warm, or warmer at least."

Berry smiled a little. "I'm sure. I should get going again actually. I still have a lot of ground to cover. You two stay here and rest. You need it after all." She said kindly. "You have a mission to continue, so do I. I should get started on that. You should as well, once you've both recovered from your flight." She said, turning away from the shelter. "I'll see you again soon, I'm sure." She called back, heading into the snow and the forest.
