He stood by and waited, swaying slightly until he was allowed to take Claude's hand with a cheesy sort of pleasure, as he was now holding a girl's hand. And the captain's no less! "Heyyyyyy," he said as they made their way out, as it had just occurred to him, "you single? You got anyone? I bet you do, hah." It never hurt to ask, and what better time than when he couldn't possibly feel any more shame?

Claude thought it went without saying that she was only holding his hand to keep him upright. Him falling over again would be very inconvenient in the progress of getting him back to his room. She supposed it made for something of a sight thought. Leading a drunken Dawson down the hall with an impassive face an arm full of beer. The trainee tilted her head towards Dawson to indicate she was listening as she lead him to the stair case. "I don't have anyone." She replied simply, and quirked a brow at him. "That's awfully presumptuous of you to assume I did." She mused.

"How mmmmm'I persumptionin'?" Dawson retorted with a snort. "Howwww..." He couldn't continue until he learned how to navigate the stairs very, very slowly. The distance between each step was very deceiving. He was now mostly leaning on Claude to keep his balance in case more stairs snuck up on him. "Well ye should," he said as a matter of factly. "Yer a good lookin' gal, Cap'n, issa traversty...F'yer standards go down low low low, y'know whur t'find me~" Dawson tried to give her shoulder a pat, forgetting they were holding hands still. In a deep, soulful voice he sang off key, "I'm doooooown in the dungeeeeeooooonnnnn..."

"You're implying that because I'm considered physically appealing to a majority, that I should have someone." Claude helped Dawson down, not minding he was heavily leaning on her. It was for the best, anyways. "Is my quality of life lacking, because I'm single?" She further mused, asking him. At first she didn't reply, just quietly focusing on getting him down the rest of the stairs. Once they reached the floor, she spoke again. "You're not low standards, Dawson." She said simply.

"Uh......maybe.....?" He honestly forgot his point somewhere past the fifteenth step and was having trouble what number his room was. But Claude did make it sound pretty stupid, so he accepted it as such; stupid thoughts seemed to be his business, there was no point in arguing that.
But he didn't know how to take the compliment and for once was silent. He didn't make a noise again until he pointed his room out with a lolling head and a yawn. "Thanks again, Cap'n," he slurred, pressing a sloppy kiss to Claude's cheek and part of her hair. He beamed at nothing in particular as he messed with his keys and unlocked the door. d"I'll clean up, promise. Prrrrromise promise. Good word. You take care now."

"It's not." She waited patiently for him to fumble with his keys, and would continue to stay by the door until he was in his room with the door closed. The sloppy cheek kiss was something of a surprise, and Claude blinked. "It's fine." She assured in regards to cleaning. "Good night."
