 "I am putting every lie in alphabetic file..." Ana nodded when Bae expressed what sounded like doubt. Her worry about his reaction was short-lived, and she gave a smile of relief. "Ahhh, yep, that'll do it." She said, chuckling. "Around my family, every guy that gets into the colony is killed rather quickly, so..." Ana shrugged. "I play both teams, but because of history, I lean toward girls." Looking over at Ken, she was surprised to see that steam was no longer coming out of his ears.
Good.
At least she didn't have to worry about him exploding or something. "Starting with 'all i need is you'..."

"What?" spouted Ken when he heard Bae play along with Ana's claim - at least he hoped he was playing around! "You can't seriously think she's a siren! That's just mythology!" he said and looked back and forth from the Korean to the girl. Was she serious? She even believed that her family killed guys? Like, legitimately killed them?! How could Bae not think she was crazy? Or was he just being polite?

Bae Bae rolled his eyes, crossing his arms and looking back to Kenshin. "Do you have any idea what kind of school you go to, Ken?" he asked, seriously concerned as to whether or not the teen was aware of what he'd gotten himself involved in.

It was sooo much fun to have someone tell her she didn't exist to her face. Looking at him with an annoyed look, she spoke sharply, "Look outside Ken. I saw three fairies on the walk here, and another kid turn into a cat and jump into a tree. Or maybe, you just need to get your eyes checked." "Starting with 'all i need is you'..."

Ken raised an eyebrow at Bae. "What're you talking about? It's just a normal high school." he said when he heard Ana's comment. A vein pulsed over his head once again as he turned to glare daggers at the girl. "Hey, back off! I haven't seen a single thing you're talking about. I mean, a person turning into a cat? I know Bae's got dog ears, but those are fake!" he said and tugged on the fake ear for emphasis.

Bae"Ow!" he whined, the ears not real, but glued to his head and therefore, still hurting. He swatted Kenshin's hand away, frowning. "Ken, we've talked about this. Magic is real. I mean, Lock has a key that takes him from place to place with just a thought and his boyfriend has an evil shadow that follows him around." He paused, taking a moment to listen to how crazy that sounded. He shook his head, ignoring that. "Anyway, just look out your window and be open-minded. Of all people, you should be able to be open-minded."

"I am putting every lie in alphabetic file..." "Then you're obviously blind!" Ana replied. How the hell could he have not seen anything? Was he wearing blinders to the world or something? Maybe his life as a pop star had sheltered him to what was actually going on. That was Ana's only explanation for this kind of behavior when he was literally going to a high school for magic beings. "Step outside, look at the world, because magic and other creatures besides humans exist. You should get used to it, considering what school we're at." "Starting with 'all i need is you'..."

Ken shook his head like an adult hearing a child's crazy story. "I can't believe you're actually buying this." he sighed at Bae then looked at him with a bewildered expression. "Your bandleader's a weird guy! I've seen him buy loads of oranges for no reason! Hearing about him believe in shadow people and a magic key doesn't surprise me at all. Oh! I've got it!" he smiled and turned around to give Ana a smug look. "You're so intent on calling yourself a siren, then sing for me. Come on, let's hear those mythological vocals!" he challenged.

BaeBae's frown deepened, an irritated glare in his eyes. "Don't talk about Lock that way. Everything he does is for a reason, including what he does for his lover, and you know better than to be rude about him in front of me!" He stood up, his large height nearly doubled by the look in his eyes. "That's it, I've had enough of this. You need to stop acting like a child and try to be polite to people, whether or not you disagree with their ideas. Quit acting so entitled. You aren't a little kid anymore, Kenshin, and the more you act like one, the less people like you. Apologize to Ana right now." He reached out to flick the redhead's forehead. "And wipe that smug look off your face!"

If he knew of the story of Odysseus and the sirens, then he should have known what happened to those who didn't protect themselves against the singing of a siren. Of all the foolish things she'd ever been told in her life, this had to be one of the dumbest. She looked over at Bae with a thankful look in her eyes. Bae"Siren songs are dangerous, Yamada!" reminded the Korean, reverting back to Kenshin's last name in his annoyance. "You're playing with fire, trying to make a siren sing for you. Whether it's true or not, you shouldn't push her." He clenched his fists, eyes darting over to the woman in preparation. If she started to sing, he had to cover his ears. He couldn't deal with another siren's song getting his emotions all jacked up. He was still suffering from mild headaches from last time.

"I am putting every lie in alphabetic file..."  Ana snarled, and her wings pressed against the leather bands keeping them strapped to her body. What feathers she did have puffed up, poking at the back of her shirt in a lumpy mess. "Fine!" she shouted, throwing her hands up. "Bae, if you have any ear plugs or something so your hands can be free, please use them. You might have to hold Ken down." Pressing a hand to her head, she shut her eyes for a moment. When she opened them again, they were similar to cats eyes, diamond-shaped slits for pupils and her eyes a vibrant blue.
When she opened her mouth, her voice was vibrant and clear. There were no specific words to it as Ana just went through the scales. If she even tried to sing an actual siren song she may lose control entirely. Wait. Why was she even doing this? She hated this. She was terrified of this. She could still remember the crunch of bones, her hands covered in red--. She stopped suddenly with a scream, pushing her head into her knees. Her fingers tugged at her hair and she barely noticed her wings pushing against the back of her shirt, fabric tearing slightly. "Starting with 'all i need is you'..."

Kenshin just scoffed at Bae's warning. Sirens didn't exist, how many times did he have to tell people this?! Sure it was dangerous to hear their music, but that was only if they were real!
Noticing Ana defiantly agree to sing, Ken smirked at her. Oh, he couldn't wait to see the look on her face once she was exposed. He'd never let Bae hear the end of it, either. Just thinking of that dumbfounded look made him.... made... him...
Everything became blurry. All of his senses were overwhelmed by music that was far too beautiful for him to comprehend. It was like being surrounded by a huge and musical orchestra, and they were playing all of his favorite songs, even modern ones. It was like hearing the voices of his favorite singers blend together. Even Ana seemed more amazing. She had such smooth and soft-looking skin, and her hair was just so silky. She was... she was perfect. How had he never noticed this before? Was it because of Bae? No, it shouldn't be. Ken felt his chest tighten like it usually would with the star, but with Ana he didn't feel any icy tension claw at him from the depths. There was only warmth and beautiful music.
Kenshin stood still, staring at Ana with mesmerized eyes that seemed to have lost their shine of life. Even when she screamed and stopped singing he was still lost in his daze.

BaeBae just barely had time to cover his ears, eyes wide open as he watched Ana sing and mesmerize the moronic Japanese star. He shook his head in disdain, unable to understand why he so easily spent his time around the idiot, when he noticed Ana on the floor, holding her head, screaming. No longer caring about the risk, Bae dropped his hands and rushed to kneel in front of her, placing his hands on her shoulders. He shook her gently, trying to get her attention. "Ana! Ana, calm down!" His deep voice boomed through the room, clashing with the sweet Siren voice that had just been heard. "Hey, it's alright. Just breathe, okay?" He placed a hand on her head, looking back to Kenshin. "Ken, get her something to drink," he ordered, his tone not leaving room for questioning.
