Eon shook her head, finding the sword looking Pokemon a mystery to her. "No, I haven't." She quickly replied before Gio sent his Aegislash after a returning Abra. She ducked momentarily, before raising her head up to find the Abra had been dealt with. A Zubat appeared in anger, flapping around Eon's head. The Green-haired girl stepped back, letting Hollr get a clear shot with another Ice Beam. Knocking out the bat easily enough. Eon crouched down, healing up her companion once more with a potion.
Looking up at Gio, Eon straightened herself up. "Just some training before I attempt the first gym." She replied. That was the truth after all. "Resa told me trainers come to this cave all the time to do some training, given the Pokemon are stronger here then they are on the mainland between Rustboro and Petalburg." Standing up she offered a nod to Gio. "But I also heard there is a Kabuto living in this cave, and for some reason I want that Kabuto to join my team." She nodded one more. If it were true, she'd make him apart of her team with no question.

A Kabuto? That was certainly unusual. The first reason was most definitely understandable but a fossil Pokemon in this Cave was strange. Something even stranger was the fact she wanted a fossil Pokemon in her team. He knew there was one that had a Steel typing but it wasn't to be found in Hoenn. "You don't think that's unusual for there to be a Pokemon like that here?" he asked before noticing a Geodude and a Makuhita standing around. "Before you answer that, Ima take advantage of this chance to have a double battle. Rusty use Earthquake and Aegislash use Sacred Sword!" the earth shook and it knocked the Geodude out with a Super Effective hit. The Makuhita managed to survive but was quickly cut down by a bright orange slice produced from the Ghost type Pokemon.
"Way to go you two, that's what we call teamwork." he pulled out both of the Pokemons balls "You've earned a rest, return" a red beam shot out and both Pokemon were placed back inside of their respective ball. "So when you finish training here where do you plan on going from there?" did she plan to go run and beat the Roxxanne right away or was there something else she was going to do before hand? Either way, Giofivured he might stick around to test his skill against the Third Gym here figuring that if he could win there he could win against Whitney. Whom was probably still waiting for them to finish their "paused" Gym battle. Just because Whitney called it a time out he refused to accept it as a loss.

Holding up a hand to her chin she thought over Gio's question. He was right, a Kabuto was an odd Pokemon to have in these caves, right? She'd read in the diary that belonged to the Evangeline girl, that Kabuto were, a very, very long time ago, native to Kanto. They've only since been able to revive them from fossils, but only in Kanto... so why was one in the Hoenn archipelago? Glancing up at Gio as he returned his two Pokemon, she nodded. "I'll likely head to Rustboro." She replied. "As for if I find it odd a Kabuto is in this cave or not, I do... It is strange that one would be out of it's native land, but it could be someone revived one and abandoned it in this cave, which is close to the ocean after all." A sizable hypothesis. "Or it could be a surviving strain of Kabuto and Kabutops, that lived at the bottom of the ocean all these years and eventually migrated to Hoenn?" a less sizable Hypothesis. "Whatever the case, I'm interested in it, and I'd like for it to join my team." With a nod, she turn to look deeper into the cave. There were no Pokemon here for her to battle, so for the time being she was left to search for that Kabuto.
Little did she know, it was closer then she expected.

That actually made alot of sense to Gio. The second one of course. "An Underwater group of them?" he mumbled curiously. He supposed it made sense though cause he had read about hordes of Pokemon that just appear in places they shouldn't. Like one time back when he was younger there was a Faint horde of Pikachu that came in Olivine. It was funny then because Jasmine went around and was trying to collect them to have the mouse Pokemon brought back to its habitat.
He wanted to ask Eon more but he didn't want to seem like he was asking to many questions. He enjoyed hearing about legends though. He wondered if he asked her about then if there was any issues of asking to many. "Do you know any of the local legends here in Hoenn?" kind of a shot in the dark but it did actually help. It was getting kind of dark and he didn't want to lose her with her having a history of forgetting things. Especially how she had gotten in the Cave.

Eon thought upon Gio's question. That didn't seem like a suspicious question to ask, though she frowned when nothing came to mind. "Sorry, no... I-i just can't remember." She replied, glancing away, her hand reaching up to catch the wall of the cave. It was getting pretty dark, and with nothing to lead the way, it seemed rather dangerous to continue forward. She wished she had a torch or something to light the way, but just her luck she was left with a fossil and a worn journal. "Do you have a flashlight?" She asked, glancing towards the sound of Gio's footsteps. Just then she noticed a pair of red orbs. For only a split second she noticed them before they vanished into the darkness. "Like right now? I think I just saw something!" She pointed towards the orbs, though it wasn't likely Gio could see where she was pointing, unless his eyesight was better than hers in the dark.

The honest answer was no, and even though he had enough badges for Flash he didn't have that either. His Lucario could feel and sense Aura and that had always been good enough for him. What he did haveon the other hand was his Pokegear and he was pretty sure it had a flashlight built into it."Here use my Pokegear" he said as he pulled it off of his belt. "It might not be the brightest but it gives off a good amount of light when in the Town Map function." he pulled up the map and while it showed Johto it read "Unable to locate" brightly on the screen. He handed it over to Eon.
What had she seen? It was far to dark for Gio to see much but his Lucario on the other hand could feel a certain Aura that was not in anyway like any other that he could feel in this Cave. It was most definitely a different type of Pokemon. It didn't seem to threatening though and it was pretty small as well.

Accepting Gio's Pokegear, she took a moment to look down at the image of the map before shifting the gear over towards where she'd seen the red orbs, she was surprised to find a large smooth tan-coloured rock.... resting amongst the gray stone of the cave. 'Is it trying to camouflage?' Eon pondered. Slowly stepping forward she held up the light to get a better look at the creature. It wasn't as big as she'd expected. Funny enough, the closer she got, it didn't even budge. Did it honestly think it was hiding well enough? Setting down the gear on a few rocks to continue shedding light on the Pokemon while she pulled out the journal from her bag. Inside the journal labeled all sorts of ancient and now fossilized Pokemon. She flipped through until she found the page she was looking for. Sketched on it's front was an image of a Dome Fossil, to it's right a Kabuto and below that a Kabutops. "Yes, so you are what I was looking for." Eon noted. "Surprisingly I actually do have a good memory." she added, grinning. Distracted by the journal and reading up on the Kabuto, she hadn't noticed the returning Sableye, from when they'd entered the cave. It was angry for being defeated so easily and was ready to pounce on Eon. Saga however, had other plans. she spotted the ghosts ruby eyes and quickly leaped at him. It hissed back at her, releasing a powerful Night Shade attack at Saga. This startled the Kabuto into giving up it's 'hidden' act and from it's perch it leaped into the air, right into Eon's arms. "Oh, uh... Aww" Pushed by the sudden shift in weight, and not expecting the Kabuto she fell back. She closed her eyes expecting to feel a harsh impact on her rear-end.

Lucario was inching forward to see just what it was that was causing the commotion. So there was a Pokemon that looked like a skipping stone. He leaned in close only for the Pokemon to be scared by an unrelenting Sableye. This led to Eon being pushed back towards him. Thankfully Lucario was there with his arms out to catch the poor green haired girl. "Becareful, its abit slippery in here" he said as straightened her out on her feet.
His Trainer Gio seemed to be abit oblivious to what had just accrued and as far as Lucario knew was still unsure if he knew he could talk or not. After all Lucario rarely ever talked, the most he talked was when he was around Aria. Whom he had not seen in quite a while and it was a bit unsettling as he imagined the Delphox and her Trainer Aiden. He shook his head. What was he doing thinking about things like that, he needed to focus on the things at hand. Right now that was Eon and the Pokemon she had found.

Eon was thankful for Gio's Lucario's quick movements, catching her before she met the ground with her rump. She nodded towards the canine creature and offered a shaky smile. "Thanks." She replied. Once she found her footing she adjusted the weight of the Kabuto in her arm to better get a hold of him. The sea-dwelling Pokemon seemed to calm in her arms, but he also didn't seem to sure about being handled by a human of all things. Eon's attention however was brought back to the relentless Sableye as Saga returned assault with an absorb attack, draining the ghost of some of it's energy.
Crawling down to the rock the Kabuto had once rested upon, the ghost launched another Night Shade attack at Saga, striking her for a fixed amount of damage. She returned fire with her only useful attack, Absorb. The back and forth continued until finally, the Sableye fell one more. This time the ghost gave in, phasing through the ground and vanishing from sight. With the ghost gone, Eon set the Kabuto back down on it's rock. "So little one, I've been looking for you." Eon stated, crouching down to eye level with the water/rock-type. "It's auspicious that a fossil Pokemon would be in this cave, let alone a cave so far from it's native habitat... I wish I could speak with you and inquire about your past, but for now... I just wanted to ask if you'd join me?" Glancing away for a moment Eon pulled out a plain Pokeball. When she looked back she found the Kabuto had turned to face Saga, it's savior. The two spoke briefly before the Kabuto turned back towards Eon. Saga offered a nod and motioned towards the Kabuto. "So you'll join me?" The Kabuto bobbed it's head. "Fantastic!" Tapping the ball to it's shell, the fossil Pokemon was drawn inside, shortly later the ball sealed shut.
Standing back up, she turned towards Gio with a grin. "I knew I'd get it to join the team." She exclaimed. Saga rolled her eyes as she grabbed Gio's Pokegear and quickly leaped up onto Eon's shoulder. Eon accepted the device from Saga and quickly held it out for Gio to take. "Anyway, it's pretty dark in here... I think we should head back to the entrance. I still have some training to do, but don't you want to get to that Gym badge by now?" His Pokemon certainly seemed ready for a fight by now.

"Hey so that's what they look like" he said as he leaned in for a closer look when Eon turned around. It certainly was a particular Pokemon from what he thought. It's glowing red eyes stuck out to him the most on the thing now a part of her team. "Anyway congrats its pretty cool looking." he said as he rose his head back up to face Eon. She mentioned that she wanted to return to the front Cave and perhaps he should challenge the Gym Leader "Oh yeah! I forgot, I think we should most definitely go back" he placed his Pokegear back on and did a quick check just to make sure he had t dropped anything

Eon nodded. Time to head back to a part of the cave they could see clearly in. Plus, she surmised having a full team would mean training would be easier from here on. Heading to Rustboro, even with weaker Pokemon would help her also weaker Pokemon battle something not quiet so far out of her league. Besides, those Sableye were going to end up giving her nightmares... she wasn't to big a fan of ghosts... at least as far as she could tell for now. When light could be seen in the distance, Eon stopped. "Well, it was fun! Good luck on your Gym Badge. Who knows I might catch up to you quicker then you can say Petalburg!" Eon chuckled. She hoped this was the case, but Gio's Pokemon looked ten times... no one-hundred times stronger then her own rag-tag team of Pokemon. He'd likely be all the way to the 7th badge by the time she got her 3rd at this rate at least.

As they arrived back at the entry Eon was wishing Gio luck."Thanks and to you as well" he started to walk off but turned around after only a few steps. "Hey don't forget to get a Pokegear of some sort when you get to Rustburo, your a good person Eon. Remember that ok" he threw a thumb into the air before turning around and running out of the Cave.
He did think Eon was a good person, after all she seemed so focused on finding that fossil Pokemon and she didn't want to use it for some scientific experiment. Well as far as he knew but she seemed more happy that it was to join her team than anything so for him that was all it took to make her a good person.

Waving good-bye to Gio, she nodded at his words. Right, she needed a Pokegear. Gio's number flashed before her eyes, a reminder of her first friend made since loosing her memory. As far as she was concerned, he was her only friend. Leaning back she waited until he was completely out of sight before she started to turn back into the cave. "Alright. So a bit more training and then we'll head back as well." She added, turning on her heel. With, hopefully no more distractions, she'd get some serious grinding done. Tucking the journal back into her bag, the Green-haired girl grabbed the newly acquired Kabuto's ball and released her. Of course Eon didn't know it was a female until she crouched down and inquired about it. "According to this girl's journal females of fossilized Pokemon are exceptionally rare, so given I've found one is amazing. Though the question still holds... are you a reanimated Kabuto or did you get separated from a pack that's continued to mate and flourish for hundreds of years?" It wasn't like Eon could understand the Kabuto, so her question wasn't going to get answered. With a sigh she simply shook her head. "Whatever the case, you're a rare sight to behold, and with that you deserve a rare name... how about, Undine?" Again... the Kabuto wasn't one to supply answers, but it didn't seem apposed to the nickname either. Settling with Undine, Eon brushed her hand along the Kabuto's back.

Settled on the nickname, Eon stood up one more. Scanning the cave, it seemed the wildlife had decided to leave with Gio's departure. Had he attracted them? Certainly sensing such strong Pokemon brought out the more bold wild Pokemon? Well, training wasn't going to go anywhere if she couldn't find anything to train with. Resting a hand on her hip, she signed. "Well, Poopie." Looking down at Saga she arched a brow. "Got any ideas?" Eon asked. Saga simply shook her head. The Gecko quickly leaped back to Eon's shoulder, but as she did, the grass-type turned towards the mouth of the cave, her eyes wide. A low growl told Eon to look. Turning she noticed a man, approaching. He didn't look much older then Eon, a bit on the short side, with long tied back blonde hair. A sweet, yet oddly scary smile across his face. "Hello." The male called, waving a hand. Eon waved back, if only to be curtius. She was sure meeting a lot of men these past few days.... and of course all she could think about was Resa, a girl. "If you wouldn't mind... I appear to be a bit lost." The man called, coming to a stop at the mouth of the cave. "I'm looking for Dewford city... my ship hit a reef down the beach and I'm not to familiar with land." He had an odd accent... somewhat familiar upon Eon's ears, but she just couldn't place it. Whatever the case he seemed in trouble... his ship hit a reef, that wasn't good for the wild life or his ship.
Below Eon felt Undine press up against her feet, a series of distressed cries clicking from it's hard to find mouth. Looking down Eon thought she saw Undine shaking.. it was hard to tell on such a large creature, but... at the same time, Undine seemed hesitant. The message she was trying to tell them went completely over Eon's head, but Saga, Ran and Nori all understood, they were Pokemon too after all. Ran was first to act, barking at the male, causing him to flinch back a bit. "Uhh, I don't mean to intrude... I merely need to know where Dewford is." Eon quirked a brow. Her Pokemon already didn't like this guy. She hadn't been with any of them for that long, but still.... she trust their judgement on people. She could never be to safe. "It's back that way... We're on an Island so I'm sure you'll find it eventually." Eon replied. The male's smile wavered, a bit upset at her answer. "Could you please show me? I'm really directionally challenged." The male added, holding up his hands, as if to suggest he meant no harm. Saga leaped down beside Ran, taking a battle pose. "It's straight that way, don't turn and you'll be just fine... in fact, a male I was just with headed in that direction, I'm sure you could catch up if you hurry." Eon's refusal to move closer was starting to reveal frustration on the male's face. He didn't have a very cool and collect demeanor did he? "You don't understand, girl... I want you to show me." His smile now vanished, as he reached behind his back to pull out a ball. "If you won't come willingly, I suppose I will have to use force."
Just as she thought. Eon would never doubt her Pokemon's instincts on people ever.

His first Pokemon sent out was a Skarmory, a native steel-type bird of the Johto region. Gio had one of those himself... meaning it was a steel-type, but also part flying. "Hollr, come on out!" Eon called, tossing forward Hollr's ball. The small water/grass-type grew still once he saw the large bird looming over him.

Just as it seemed all hope was lost, Eon down to just Eon, a flash of brown red and yellow came into Eon's tear blurred vision. A barrier of sorts rose up, stopping the Lucario's fist from bearing down on the frightened Undine. The air was still for a moment, so silent a small pebble falling was like a boulder into the ocean. Whipping her eyes clear, she saw it was a small cat-like Pokemon with a straw hat hanging from it's neck that had saved Undine from the Lucario's attack. 'W-wait whats this!?" called the man. Eon tried to stand, but she couldn't find the strength, just then the feline answered for her, his voice childish, yet strong. 'Leave, she forfeits this fight.' The blonde male's eyes narrowed. "And what If I say no? Lucario, Power-up Punch again!" The Meowstic quickly countered with a Mean Look, stilling the Lucario in it's place. "Attack, Lucario!" The male shouted once more, but the Meowstic's eyes were bearing down on it. Instead of attacking, it began to back away. A strong visable line of what was likely psychic energy radiated off the Meowstic, like a burning purple flame. The male stepped back himself, seemingly effected by the Mean Look attack... an odditiy that caught Eon's attention. Most Pokemon moves like that didn't work on humans... it.. was intriguing.
Finally, the man grumbled something under his breath, then returned his Lucario. "Fine! I'll let you go this one time, girl! But by Ace's orders I will get you!" turning on his heel, the male ran. His words were jumbled rambling to Eon, she was far to fixated on the cat-like Pokemon before her, who'd now turned towards Eon with a far to serious look on it's cat-like face.
