Deciding to take a break from the training even though it wasn't too much work, Mitsu and his two Pokémon went to a café for something to eat. He bought some berry bowls for Flynn and Rao while he got a mixed fruit bowl and a smoothie. He watched the two eat to see which berries they liked the most and which ones they didn't. He'd have to ask his mother for some Pokémon food recipes. He wondered how she was doing. Knowing her, she was probably worrying about him and Yukari. He'd call her sometime. Let her know he was doing fine and introduce his Pokémon to her."...I miss everyone. I hope Takahiro's doing well. And, Dad....Is he getting enough sleep?"He worried a lot, too. This time, as they wandered the city, a female Nidoran popped out of the shadows to challenge them. Why were they all so agitated? Did Mitsu do something to upset them? Mitsu sent Rao to battle the Nidoran. She managed to attack first using Ice Shard, which did quite a bit of damage to her opponent. Which Nidoran didn't like one bit. She attacked with Scratch; and, Rao's typing paid off. Scratch went right through her. Using the moment of confusion from Nidoran, Rao retaliated with another Ice Shard. Nidoran fell and Mitsu beamed as Rao spun in victory."Way to go, Rao! That was awesome!""Mander!""Fros~?"Rao flew over to stand in front of Flynn, and proceeded to...flirt with him? That was what it looked like to Mitsu anyway. And, the fact Flynn seemed to blush proved it. Well! Having her out of her ball would be very entertaining times!

Mitsu walked around some more, though he had returned Flynn and Rao to their balls so they could rest. Now it was just him and the egg he adored so much. He returned to wandering what was inside it. A Feebas? Or, maybe a Seel? Oh! A Dratini would be a good one, too! Was it wishful thinking to wander if maybe it was a legendary's egg? Because, a Cresselia would be amazing. It probably wasn't, though. Most likely far from it. As he began to lose himself in his thoughts, he felt the incubator shake slightly and looked down to see the egg start to shake. His eyes lit up. It was already close to hatching? That was great! Sitting on a bench, Mitsu got out his holo caster again. He sent a message to his father telling his his egg was getting ready to hatch and asked if someone could fly the Shaman to Viridian City to finish up his rather long ceremony period. He heard back immediately and smiled as he put the holo caster away. Picking up the incubator, Mitsu set it on his lap and hugged it. He probably looked weird.Whatever it is, I'm going to adore it. Even if it's a Pidgey or a Caterpie.

After hearing back from his father that the Shaman was on his way, Mitsu stood and started through the city again. There was still quite a bit of training to do. He wanted to make sure Flynn and Rao were more than ready for their first gym battle. And, Mitsu still had to build up his team. He really wanted a Ponyta, too. Mitsu returned to his egg, which was now starting to shake more frequently. Before it was just the one shake, but now it was shaking every few minutes. Was it going to hatch soon!? Oh, God. What did he do? He'd never hatched an egg before, and he never really thought about what should be done when one does hatch. Was this what parents felt like when they had their first kid? At least he knew he wasn't going to have triplets like his mom and dad had. That would be horrifying. Yet, oddly alluring.
