  As they walked along the corridor and Dante spoke, Ryan listened intently even though his face showed the same expression as always. He could tell that Dante was full of a lot off questions that Ryan was sure to be asked within the week that was passing. He didn't mind though, if he thought if it as an interview, it wasn't so bad. "A thanks isn't necessary. I will admit it was strange cooking for another, but I didn't mind. Besides, it wasn't like I was going to just leave you to find something to eat on your own. I may have my moments, but I am not that cruel."
The turned a corner and bean walking down another hall that had a clear glass door at the end. You could already see the garden from where they were. Once they were in the back garden, they has selveral feet until they reached the forest of trees. Since it was a place he often visited, Ryan marked which trees to cross with ribbons tied around their trunks. "As for the piano, I took lessons when I was 5. My parents tried to teach me things at an age where I could absorb information easily."

  Dante laughed at Ryan's comment, the blonde didn't seem like he was cruel at all. Sure, he was quiet and Dante had seen the so called intimidating aura that caused people to leave him alone but the shorter male never would for a second think Ryan was cruel.
Dante followed Ryan in silence, listening to the other male talk. As they passed the outer rim of tress, he reached out and touched the bark of one of the trees, enjoying to roughness of it against his hand.
"Five years old, huh? My parents were just struggling to keep me in the house at that age." He chuckled softly, remembering how upset his parents would get when they'd find him out in the garden or by the pond. He looked over at Ryan and smiled, continuing to follow the blonde into the woods. The air underneath the trees was a little cooler, comfortable even to have no need of a coat. Dante slipped his trench coat off, holding onto it as they walked.

As they neared the waterfall, you could hear the water more clearly. With it being a bit of a steep hill towards the bottom where the waterfall was, Ryan made sure that he kept his hand at the small of Dante's back so he could catch him just in case. When Ryan was younger, even he fell a few times and went rolling into the water. Luckily for him, he only walked away with soaking wet and dirty clothes and a small gash under his bangs on the corner of his forehead. When he lifted his bangs, you could see the small scar it left. "Careful, it is a little steep here."
When he thought about it, this might have been his first time taking someone to this spot. As far as he knew, no one else knew of it but his parents since it was like his secret hideout. He would always come here to either swim or catch whatever may be lurking in the water. "The water is usually chilly this time of year but bearable if you wanted to put your feet in." As soon as the reached the bottom of the small hill, they approach rocks which led to a clearing where the waterfall was. "This is it."

Dante listened to Ryan's instructions, allowing the other male to guide him down the bottom. He was actually glad Ryan kept his hand on the small of Dante's back when the shorter started to slip, grabbing onto Ryan's shirt before regaining his balance. He felt his cheek get hot and quickly released the blonde's shirt, continuing down.
Once they reached the bottom, he was mesmerized. He looked around, smiling as he studied the surrounding. Judging from the lack of footprints, only Ryan's family knew this place even existed. He could understand why too. There was quite a bit of privacy, allowing one to do as they pleased while they were here. Dante had never seen anything like this before, it was something that you just don't see everyday.
He looked up at Ryan and smiled. "It's beautiful here, I can see why it stays a secret."

Nodding, Ryan turned to him with a bit of a proud smile. He was glad that Dante at least enjoyed it as much as he did. It was the secret pride and joy of the Damascus family that they wanted to selfishly keep to themselves. As long as it was just Dante, and because he was now Ryan's fiancé, it was now a Damascus and Kingsley secret until Dante took the Damascus, if he planned to. Ryan was certain that he wasn't going to change his name, and if Dante didn't want to, he would not force it. They could just keep their respectable names. "I am glad you like it. I'll bring you back tomorrow to swim. There is a small cave like structure behind the waterfall. The water is a little deeper over there, but there are rocks to sit on. It is beautiful seeing the water from the outside, but feels like a whole other world when you're on the inside." Moving closer to the water, he sat down on a rock that was nearby before turning his gaze back to Dante. There was a nice breeze and a little bit of the sunlight left so it made the visit in good timing. "Hopefully it is as nice a day tomorrow as it is today." It it wasn't, they could always just swim in the indoor pool where Ryan was earlier. He was sure that Dante would like the idea of seeing the rain pour down on the glass ceiling and walls of the pool room. Once was able to see all of the rain there.

Dante smiled, pulling off his trench coat before sitting down next to Ryan. He absolutely loved it here, he felt honored that Ryan had brought him here. "I'd love to come back and go swimming with you." He slipped his shoes off, rolling up his pants legs before putting his feet in the water. Ryan was right, the water was kind of cold but it wasn't that bad. It felt nice and Dante leaned back on his hands, closing his eyes as he listened to everything around him.
The black haired male relaxed. He looked over at Ryan and smiled softly. "When did you discover this place? It's like something you only read about in a book."

Scooting over a little so there was plenty of room for Dante, Ryan looked down at the water as Dante dipped his feet in. Sighing as he reached up, Ryan lifted his bangs to show the scar from his fall. "I found it on accident. I got lost and fell before I tumbled down this hill. I ended up falling into the water and hit my head on a rock. Luckily I wasn't knocked out and managed to swim to the rocks behind the waterfall." Dropping his hand, he let his bangs fall back into place before looking over at the waterfall. "I sat there until the next day where my parents found this place." At the time, Ryan was so little and scared, that he didn't give himself the opportunity to appreciate the place and its beauty. He was glad that he had come back to find his stuffed animal that he dropped when he fell. He was rather attached to it at the time so leaving it behind wasn't an option. "Even though it was a scary memory for me, I came back for something important and after seeing it differently, I couldn't stop coming here. It feels...different showing it to someone for a change."

Dante listened as Ryan talked about how he found the waterfall. He smiled a little when the blonde mentioned coming back and then not being able to stay away. "I guess that's always an upside to places like this. No matter what happened here that involves a bad memory, the beauty, peace and serenity of it makes the memory almost worthwhile. Who knows? Maybe if you hadn't gotten lost, we wouldn't be sitting here right now." Dante kicked his feet lightly, casing small waves and ripples to dance over the surface of the water. The black haired male spaced out as he stared at the water. He had never been lucky enough to find a place like this, on any piece of land he's ever visited. He almost didn't ever want to leave, like deep down he was afraid that if he left, this whole place would just disappear into thin air.

After looking at the sky for a moment, Ryan sighed and turned to his fiancé. He took a moment to gather his thoughts before bracing himself for his next words. He wanted it be official on his own terms after getting to know Dante better. If he was sure he could not get along with him, he wouldn't have continued the whole charade. Not even for his parents. But now that he knew how Dante was, he could see himself becoming at least good friends with him. "I am not very social, have a hard time showing much emotion and I can be pretty boring. There aren't really very many good qualities in me, but if you can overlook that and stand being near me, than marry me. If you can't, then please do not force yourself. I am sure your parents and my parents can find another way to get past this silly feud." He was rather serious, and he wouldn't blame Dante for wanting to live his own life if he decided he just couldn't do it after all. "I would understand as well. Marrying a stranger can be scary, and since you'll be marrying a man, things won't be easy...for either of us. There will be those that will judge us despite not knowing the truth and then their will be certain expectations that others may have for us as a model gay couple. There may be certain displays of affection to keep up public appearance." He had almost forgotten about it, but now he thought it was the best time to bring it up so all cards were on the table. "W'll have to kiss and hold hands in public and act as though we truly are in love. It may put a lot of pressure and a strain on our current calm relationship with each other by making things awkward every now and then. If you truly think you can handle it all, then I will agree to this marriage."

Dante sat in silence as he listened to Ryan, he knew they were gonna have to address the situation. They had gotten to know each other in the short time they spent together. In all honesty, Dante did enjoy being around Ryan. The blonde may be quiet but he wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind. The taller male was right with the public affectionate displays, it would occasionally make things awkward but Ryan was the first real friend Dante ever had. The black haired male heaved a small sigh, thinking it over.
He eventually smiled and turned towards the blonde. "Even with the occasional awkward moment, I'm sure we can survive it. Besides, if it gets too awkward, we can always take a break from each other for an hour or two." Dante ran a hand through his hair, taking a deep breath before continuing, smiling. "I accept your marriage proposal, Ryan."

It was Dante's last out, that is what the entire thing was about. He wanted him to not only understand that he could still back out, but that it wasn't an option after the marriage contract was completed. They had until then to change their minds. Ryan was also bad about things being done properly as well so he wanted to make sure that he could complete the agreement in a more graceful way than what their parents did. Nodding after all of that was taken care of, Ryan slipped off the rock and stood straight before turning his gaze back to Dante. "We should go before it gets dark. I can be difficult to find the way back at night, even with ribbons."
Despite his fiance being a man that could probably take care of himself just fine, being the gentleman he was, Ryan still stuck his hand out for the other to take. He figured it would help in leading him out and possibly when they went back up the hill. As he waited for the other's reaction, he remembered their agreement and wondered if he should sing for the other as well, or just keep that particular detail to himself. "As promised, I will teach you slowly how to play the piano. You'll be a natural by the time I have taught you the basics."

Dante quickly put his shoes back on before grabbing his coat and taking Ryan's hand as he stood. The shorter male noticed had darkened since they arrived here so maybe it was best they left before it got way too dark to leave. Dante smiled as Ryan mentioned teaching him the piano. "Thanks, I promise I'll work really hard at it. I don't want something that you can teach me to go to waste."
Still holding Ryan's hand, the black haired male let the taller one lead the way out. As they climbed up the hill, Dante pushed Ryan forward while the blonde tugged Dante up after him. As they walked back toward the house, Dante thought over the recent events. Their engagement was now made official by them, the proper way. He knew there was no backing out now but honestly deep down, Dante didn't wanna back out. Something about the blonde intrigued the shorter male and he found Ryan to, actually, be very pleasant company.

Even though the large home was visible as they walked out of the trees, Ryan's hand still held onto Dante's. It was dark now, and when it was night time around the home, it was awfully dark. And with them living next to a wild habitat, curious creatures always found their way into the area. "Stay close, there are some wild animals that venture into the yard from the forest."
When they finally reached the doors they came out of earlier, he let go of Dante's hand and held open one of the doors so the other could enter first. He walked in after and shut the doors behind him before locking them. "The music room is near here, so it isn't too much of a walk."

Dante took off hid coat once they were back inside the house. He smiled softly, stretching a little. "Lead the way, Ryan." The shorter male allowed Ryan to go first, following behind him. Something about willingly accepting Ryan's proposal without the weight of the feud hanging over him put Dante at ease. It felt nice, in a way, to choose this life himself. Today, alone, had been very interesting. He had become friends with Ryan and accepted his marriage proposal. And they hadn't even been living together one day yet.
But Dante wasn't complaining, he found Ryan's company calming and he enjoyed being around the blonde. When they reached the music room, Dante walked over and softly touched the piano cover as he wondered if, even with Ryan's instructions, he could learn to play the piano. Some of the teachers his parents had hired ended up quitting after three weeks because he jsut couldn't pick up on it like they had hoped. OOC: no worries, I've actually been wondering if you have anything planned for this

After leading him to the room in silence, he watched as the other looked around. He wasn't sure what he should start with in terms of song, but he thought he could show him something, before beginning the lesson. "I could play something for you first if you'd like? It might help me warm into it as well." As he said this, he walked over to the piano and sat down on the seat before opening the lid. He played every so often around his home at the Damascus manor, but sometimes he just didn't have the time to do so with work. He was his father's right-hand man, so he had just as much work to do as his father did. They were often stuck at the office rather late because they had so much to do.
Now, here he was, playing again for his betrothed of one day in a place that was now to be his more permanent home. It seemed almost unreal at this point. In one day, the life he had before was gone and replaced with a new one filled with uncertainty. No one could know how the relationship may play out. To have such unpredictability was a little scary to the man that often preferred things he could already tell was coming.
