As they wandered the mainfare of Chittentown, Kursha caught sight of a hooded figure darting through the streets. Well, if that wasn't suspicious. Acting on his instinct, he motioned for Rasali and Byakko to follow and took off after the figure. Maneuvering through the crowds was not easy, but he was in the hunt. He had no qualms about getting rough with anyone who stood in his path.

After about a minute's pursuit, the figure ducked into an alleyway. Kursha followed only to nearly crash into a redblood from the initiative. Placing one hand on the wall, Kursha leaned down towards Poutzi. He smiled disarmingly. "Busy with what? Seriously, what's the big rush?"

"I'm in Chittentown constantly for our cause. Why don't you stop bugging those of us with things to go do some real work?" With that, she turns and leaves, no longer moving swiftly, but with no intent to stop again.

The Initiative’s caverns were already expansive enough to make clue-hunting difficult. Rasali couldn’t see how adding the entirety of Chittentown to their list of locations would make anything easier. However, it felt like it had been forever since Rasali had last seen the night sky, so she didn’t bother voicing her complaints. Even if they just ended up wandering, the fresh air was worth the time spent. It wasn’t like they were taking many breaks to begin with.

Almost as though responding to Rasali’s thoughts of relaxation, Kursha seemed to perk up. Rasali noticed just in time to see him dart off down one of Chittentown’s many alley ways. By the time she’d caught up, the troll Kursha had been talking to was already walking off. Huh.

’Must not have been that intense of an exchange…’ Rasali thought with a mental shrug. She was about to turn back to the main street when she made a discovery of her own.

”Aww! Kittens!” Rasali cooed delightedly, only to be met with an angry hiss from the mother. ”Ergh…” That was decidedly less cute. Rasali gave a final smile to the babies and backed off. The trip outside was definitely worth it.

Byakko remained silent during most of their travels through Chittentown, although it wasn't overwhelmingly out of character for the mutantblood. The groups were to be meeting in a few nights time to share their findings, and as the date approached, as did her disquietude. What would happen, would they really sniff out the sources of their problems? To what scale was the Initiative's betrayal?

Swallowing down her nerves, Akko watched the younger girl coo over some meowbeasts, smile tugging at her lips as her worries were momentarily forgotten. Who wouldn't melt over those cute lil balls of vibrating fur...?
