He sighed as he stirred in the flakes, making sure they were mixed in well with the water before adding the milk and fluffing them with a fork. "I can't very well stop you from leaving, but at the same time, I can't just let you go out there without a way to defend yourself. Spend the night here, and in the morning, I'll at least equip you with a gun."

She then thought for a moment. With a finger on her chin, she re-stated Tony's words. "I can't just let you go out there without a way to defend yourself. "You... You really don't... Oi, you're a sheltered one. After the world powers went cuckoo and scorched the ENTIRE Earth, there've been all manner of unsavory things roaming around. If you're lucky, you'll only run into a giant roach or a wrinkly, bloated abomination of a rodent. Then there are the ghoulies, humans like you and me that are walking irradiated, rotting zombies with a taste for what they used to be. I've seen them work, it ain't pretty. And the highest up on the food chain, aside from the humans without a moral compass, are the Mutant Orcs. Big, nasty, and would sooner pop your head off your shoulders as to look at you. It's not safe out there anymore. The best hope for survival is to find somewhere safe and stay there. I can point you to the nearest town, but even then it's about a two to three day hike on foot, and it's a known trade route so you have to keep your eyes peeled for bandits and slavers." Tony sighed as he split the potatoes between them, passing her a plate with a shaker of salt. "I've got nothing to worry about, I was one of the luckier ones when the radiation hit. You saw me swinging that huge hunk of steel like it was a two by four."

So instead, she would pick up the plate, and eat the mashed potatoes with her tongue. At this point, she didn't care how "ladylike" her dining was. With bigger concerns out there, this had to take the backseat. After a short while, Sasha put the plate down to speak. "Yeah... I guess I would need a gun out there. Thanks for the warning." She looked to the side, before looking back at Tony, and then down at her meal. "I hope my sisters are doing okay, wherever they are. I'd like to stay here where it's safe, but what are the chances they'll ever come here? I at least need to see that town." She continued eating. Seeing the darkening blue in the window, she knew it was getting late. She would need to sleep soon. To think, she had just gotten comfortable here, and it wasn't to last long. Sasha thought more about what Tony said was out there. She hadn't much experience with firearms, but she could hopefully get some good advice from Tony. She began to consider asking Tony to escort her to the town. With both of them carrying guns, no creature stood a chance, right? Then once they're safely across, Tony could go back to his place, and Sasha could look for her sisters in the town. After finishing her meal, she began another coughing fit. "Oh crap! Not this again!"

Tony went to pat her back, before rummaging through a cabinet and pulling out some honey. "Here, it ain't medicine, but it'll help that cough a bit," he said, giving her a spoon full. "I really ought to teach you how to use a firearm. Do you think you could spare a few days? At least until I feel comfortable about letting you loose in the wasteland."

I wouldn't want to bother you, but it seems you'd be bothered if I left right away. Things must be pretty bad out there. ... The thing is, though, my sisters may not stay in the same place for long. If they're in that town, I need to go there right away. Then again, if you're right about those monsters out there, I may need some gun training. How long would it take to train me? You said a few days, right?"

She took a quick look around his cabinet. It looked like the second amendment threw a wild party in there. With the several varieties he had, she had to choose one carefully. Which would be the perfect gun for her. That's when she saw a small, black pistol. It looked rather lightweight, and easy to conceal. Not only that, but it looked rather easy to learn about. "You mind if I take that one?", she said as she pressed a finger against the pistol.

And this one I just repaired a week ago, so in addition to being in top condition, I also modded it to have a heavier receiver so that it packs even more of a punch, as well as a marksman's grip to make it easier to aim down." He picked up the pistol, cocked it in demonstration, then placed it in her hands. "Get a feel for how heavy it is. You'll need to be used to it if it's going to serve you well."

She looked down at the pistol in her hands. "Wow. You've done quite a bit to up the anti on this thing, didn't you?" She placed in her right hand, pointing it up in the air. Since the cuts were only on the knuckles and back of her hands, she was able to use the rest for holding this defense weapon. She lowered the gun, placing it near her side. "I think it's getting kinda late. You mind showing me how to use this tomorrow?"

"Penny?", she asked, "Is that what you named the gun? I love it!" She turned her head to the hallway. "Well, I'll be right back." She went down the hallway to the bathroom. She found it soon enough, and closed the door behind her. There was nothing like a good wash to end the day. (OOC: One bath later, what happens next? lol)
