lol you must have come close to winter xD it can get Very cold here in winter, especially if you come in January. that's when it seems to really snow hard. i remember about 5 years back or so we had over 1 Foot of snow fall all at once in one day xD i was completely snowed into my driveway

No I was basically treated like I didn't belong so I didn't stay long

if you do ever go back, especially in summer, i'd recommend Mackinac Island. it's very pretty up there, and there aren't any cars on the island

lol it's very nice xD it can still be a fair bit crowded during peak tourist season, though you only really have to watch out for people on bikes. there's a horse-drawn carriage tour ride around the island, which is especially nice if you've been doing a lot of walking
