Mysterious Wreckage


So, this is it. Despite my best efforts, my family has somehow convinced me that it's time to move on for now. Well, no, it wasn't just them. If I had to be honest, I'd say it was more Zumei than anyone else. If she hadn't approached me before my uncle did... But she did, and she... wanted me to join her on an adventure too.

It still feels like I'm breaking some unspoken promise to my sister. We were supposed to see the world together. She can't do it alone. But she also says I'm hurting her by staying, and that isn't my intention, either.

I can't possibly know what'll happen without me, and if I stayed, I'd miss out on what would happen if I went. Life's full of tough choices, but at least this way, I will have Zumei by my side. Seph will be safe with Uncle until I return, and perhaps if I'm very lucky, there's someone out there who knows more about magic than I do.

Er, well, surely there is, but hopefully that someone wouldn't mind a dumb Ice boy trying to glean knowledge from them. I want to do amazing things when I return. I want to be worth something.
