Almost carelessly catching herself from the push, Regina reached down for the twisted metal. "Wow! Ok, clearly I don't. But yeah? In case you haven't noticed, I have the best parent, ever?" If there had ever been a moment in Regina's life where she was prepared to sit down and have an intimate discussion over the tangled emotions she felt for her parent, now was not the time. And that retort had been weak. Shrill scream then feeble implication? Uh, whatever? It was clear all the fight had gone out of Byakko, the ferocious volley of blow from before had ceased, to be replaced by pushing. She had a big weapon, but no stamina. And Regina had a weapon again, such as it was. Rotating one arm, the queen ignored any complaints of fatigue or pain from her own body. And stepped forward, and swung the twisted piece of metal like some kind of warped and multi-bladed sword at the mutantblood. hp 1/20 regina deals 6 damage!

Akko had never been a rational thinker under the intense pressure of life or death situations. That's when all Trolldad's efforts to make her a functioning member of the Initiative flew right out the window- when the mutant reverted back into total fight or flight mode. Coupled with the events at the bunker, Byakko hadn't been granted the latter; so she was endlessly livid. All she could see was red. Or, to be more precise, hot pink- a mix of sweat and blood kept trickling into her eyes. She had been trying to blink away the blurriness when Regina swung. The jagged metal pierced through her robes, skewering her arm and ribcage with its varied points. Byakko bit back a shriek of agony, chomping down on her tongue. Don't scream. Don't give her the satisfaction. Blood trickled from the corners of her lips, each muscle tensed. As Regina wrenched her makeshift blade away, carving through Akko's exoskeleton, it was all too much; the rebel couldn't hold back her torturous howl any longer. Mutant pink ruptured from the lacerations. Her face was smeared with fresh blood, both hers and the Queen's alike. She bobbed out of Regina's reach. The flow from her nose had not yet subsided, so she kept reaching to wipe her upper lip with the back of her tattered sleeve. Akko glared at the Queen with pure detest from behind her now readied kanabo. "I'm sure you have a lovely relationship, having to fight others off for her attention and everything, but wrong again. You couldn't possibly fathom what I have with mine." Her wheezing voice still managed to somehow sound viciously ice cold. Byakko failed to use the correct tense, but it didn't matter. She didn't care if Regina knew, or if she seemed like she was crazily rambling like the psycho Regina thought her to be. Assumedly Gl' had been the one to end Zhuque's life- but all of that was completely irrelevant to Byakko. She revered Trolldad dearly, refusing to stand for any attack she perceived on his character, no matter how unintentional or roundabout. Immediately after speaking Byakko twisted and flung the weight of her kanabo against Regina, at the same time rising a knee to connect with her stomach. She was fading and needed to end this, now, because she wasn't going to last much longer. HP: 2/20 akko dealt 3 dmg (+1 kanabo)

"Fight off others?" Regina was grinning from ear to ear, blood pumping and feeling more alive than she ever did sitting in her empty quiet throne, her empty quiet hive. "Fight others off?? You think I need to bother with the trash that came before me? I just had to sit back and..!" As the kanabo hit her square across the chest the queen smashed back into the railing, but her face showed she was barely registering it. She bit her own lip hard, still smiling, choking down the secrets that kept her warm and safe and secure in her power. The memories and thoughts that rocked her to sleep as she dreamed the days away in her luxurious recupricoon. She had won that battle, before it had even began. It had been the most exciting moment in her life, and now everything else felt washed out and dead in comparison. If only Byakko could give her the same thrill, the same challenge. Regina had hoped that if anyone could, it would be the enraged mutant. As the knee came up and hit her she gasped again, grabbing onto the other girl's arm as the balcony creaked and wobbled behind them both from the repeated blows. Her voice was quieter now as she simply didn't have the air inside her, but she could lean forward into Byakko's face to ensure the mutant heard her. It was important. She had to give enough to ensure the other troll stayed alive, otherwise she'd be alone again with nothing to fight for. More importantly, nothing to fight against. "If only you knew! You think you're better than me? You're so ********' blind and dumb, you don't see anything even when it's right in front of your fa-"The railing gave a small groan and bent, tipping Regina, and with her firmly holding on to the other girl, Byakko over the side of the ledge and into the void. 0/20 melona-pan hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

They were falling. It happened so quickly, in a single blink, that Akko didn't have time to react. Now there was only the lashing wind, the darkness of the descending prison's pit, and Regina. Parts of Akko's thinkpan began to shut off, one by one, like crashing programs, upon the realization they were hurtling gog-knows how many floors down to their potential deaths. The small window of escape she had been fighting for slammed shut. Her stomach clenched and plummeted in a tight ball, then lurched upwards and exploded viciously up through her throat, escaping in a terrified, feral screech directed inches away from Regina's face. She couldn't even hear herself scream. Was she screaming? Akko was certain of the vibrations in her throat, but it was hard to tell. All she could hear was the overpowering crash of the wind howling around them as they whipped down the seemingly endless pit. She could certainly feel her breath being ripped from her lungs. Was it because she was screaming? Or from the force they were whipping towards the grounds at? It was overwhelmingly disorienting. Everything about this night was. Everything was spinning. Only Regina was in focus. At some point, Akko had lost grip of her kanabo. She didn't even register when it happened. She could see it in her peripherals behind the Queen- out of reach, suspended and seemingly hovering midair along with strips of metal and chips of the concrete balcony. Useless to her. The only thing still within arm's grasp was Regina, who had remained latched onto her during the entirety of their descent so far. amicableAggressor sorry about the wait my precious gaia wife ; 3;

Regina could feel the larger, stronger girl twisting her in the air, trying to force Regina to take the brunt of the fall. It was an option. She knew she was tough, she knew she'd walk away from it. The depths of the ocean where she lived daily put more strain on her body than a fall - long though it was. Who knew how weak the mutantblood was, despite appearing larger. But that would be giving Byakko something, instead of forcing her to fight for it. Speaking of fight, Regina found herself pushed and spun in the air, so her back was facing the ground. Face frowning slightly in concentration, she reached out with one hand, closing it around the nearest shard of jagged metal that fell with the girls. Ignoring the cut that it tore in her hand, she swung her arm back in to strike at the Initiative leader's face. The distraction was enough to allow her to shove back, spinning the two trolls in the air again, just in time for -- -- after a long silence, one of the trolls gave a grunt, and rolled off the other. Regina slowly sat up, eyes squeezed shut and teeth bared. Just because something was survivable, didn't mean it was an experience she cared to repeat. In her head, she could feel a disapproval that was more than just her own. Maybe she had gotten a little carried away, past the point of that oh so carefully reinforced survival instinct. Hissing, she tested her body for pain beyond the aching throb. Nothing broken, or at least nothing vital. After another pause, the queen slowly stood, snarling slightly from the restraints her body placed on her. On her feet and swaying faintly, she turned to look down at the other girl. "Get up." When there was no response, Regina lashed out with her foot, kicking Byakko heavily in the ribs. A few more swings brought up a moan from the mutantblood, and caused a faint line of worry on the empress's face to fade. Still alive and kicking then. That was goo - expected. There was no way that the mutant would end here, of all places. Wheezing slightly from the final outburst of violence, Regina turned to leave, paused, and stiffly knelt down, leaning her face in close. It wasn't exactly a kiss on the cheek, and it wasn't exactly a murmur in the ear, but it was enough of both. Then standing again, the queen limped off into the shadows, leaving blood, and a promise behind.
