The Semblance of Unity
He saw the hand raised and then dropped away. It had only caused him to feel worse, and he looked down. He would have liked to take that hand, but instead, he glanced at his ungloved hands.
Not now.
"It's okay. Let's....not make a big deal out of this. Let's just...forget it happened." He said, not wanting the focus to be solely on this. It made it all seem worse than he wanted it to be.
"Just, keep scrubbing it with the stuff in the bottle. Then use clean water to wipe it and let it dry. If it's still set, I'll bring something else over." He turned and opened the door.
