Junko's hair reacted, at first, unhappily to the boil reaching out for it. But eventually it did decide to entertain him, curling around his wrists and arms and giving playful little squeezes before slithering away and wiggling at him, teasing him to come and get it. Luckily Junko's hair was long enough that it would be very difficult for the boil to pull her hair in a way that would hurt.

"You do need a room for yourself," Junko told him, referring to when she had asked if he was sure he didn't want some kind of man cave and he'd said no. Drums were loud. Too loud. They would disturb her concentration when working. Junko could already imagine herself hurting herself in some way from being startled by sudden drums. Also scarelings. She didn't want them to have easy access to his drum set and ruin it by accident in some way.

She turned down to the scareling on her hip again with a warm smile. Just. Too. Cute. She'd let the boils talk about whatever they wanted, she was content to entertain the scareling. But a touch of coolness against her arm had her attention and instinctively Junko looked up at Seiji with a questioning raise of her brow. She was used to his cool touch. Did he need something?

..Wait. He was still talking to Roch. She blinked and looked around until she'd spotted Yaya beside her and she gasped. "Yayaaaaa~! Hiii!" Junko bounced, settling Cisco more comfortably on her hip so she could reach out with one arm to hug Yaya.

"Oh, and I got us a gig at Ren's new club, too," Roch said, since it was obvious that Cisco's training came first. To him, at least. "I can get Nahm, I'm sure, an' you, all we'll need is a bassist--Marosa!" he exclaimed as he saw the fey. "Hey, bro!" he exclaimed, reaching out for a hug, only to stop. "I ain't gonna fall in love with you if I hug you, am I?" he asked. "I ain't got time for it this round--oh uh--"

Wow, how did so many people choose to show up NOW? His little secret was as good as blown, huh? "Hey, Yaya, good t'see you!"

The little boil in Junko's arm was laughing his head off as he played tag with the hair. He didn't pull--he'd actually been taught not to by his nanny, but he did reach for it! It had totally started this fight, okay? ALL THE HAIR'S FAULT! "Gabba! Blama to keeja tola!" he declared, as if that made absolute sense. Then he stopped, gave Junko and Yaya a HUGE grin, and went "AWOOOGA!"

Roch looked at his very noisy, very OBVIOUS kid (the hat had been dropped sometime along the way) and just started laughing. "That's right, Cisco--Junko and Yaya are definitely worth an Awooga," he said, reaching over to mess up his mohawk.

"Hey Marosa, y'wanna learn t'play the bass guitar?"

Determined not to let his confusion get the better of him, the ghost leaned back in his seat and squared his shoulders. "That was grand! Again!" he declared merrily. He lifted his armored feet with the intention of crossing them up on the table top, but thought better of it before he actually did. He was reminded of the fortune teller's hair—which tried to take another chunk out of him as if it could read his mind—and the vague unease he felt when he met those empty eyes. Maybe he should have left well enough alone after the first reading.

This time he was promised money troubles, which frankly, he already had. Until moments ago he had been blissfully unaware that he had a need for wealth at all, but now a nervous flutter swam from his stomach, past his heart, and into his throat. How was he going to provide for himself when he didn't know how to do that, nor quite what he even was? What were his needs? He recognized uncertainty as it buffeted him from all sides, but he had next to no reaction to it beyond that recognition. Hello, uncertainty. Was this normal? He supposed he needed to find someone to speak to who didn't seem bent on consuming him.

With a slight shrug of armor-clad shoulders, the ghost rose to his feet, grinning broadly when he floated off of the ground once again. "Thank you," he said, turning an unintentionally superior smile on the horseman before he hovered away.

Keen glanced around more, her features darkening as three of her pom ghosts mobbed her circling her with their creepy grins. Why did they all seem to want to follow her everywhere? She sighed silently and headed to the stage peering up at it a moment. Hmm, well she couldn't sing, and it seemed her dear friend had already sang for everyone. Maybe she could sneak over and plink at the piano while the band was off set?

No, that was decidedly painful even for her. She winced and yanked her hands away as if they were burnt, even as he pom ghosts bounced on the keys a little. Ugh, they sounded better than she did. That was so unfair.

Luckily it seemed the dormouse had done a much better job than she had, and that was a positive note.

Keen sighed and slid down, walking around quietly taking in all there was to see, even the cute little scareling everyone was adoring.

(sorry if they came back already)

SHOW ME DA FUTURE!

Keen drifted over to the table again and looked at the horseman, bowing her head politely once more. She was still not going to talk, that wasn't her thing, but she did keep her eyes on the moving hair. No more nipping from that this time. Okay maybe there would be, but now that her three pets were with her they were more than willing to try to protect her. (yeah right....) Actually they seemed to be baiting the long locks wanting to play. Still ghost poms.

Her romance... romance? No one felt romantically toward her, and it wasn't as if she had any that she knew of.. so why would it be robbed? Did this horseman know something she didn't? She blinked a few times in confusion and tilted her head, writing a note carefully.

I do not understand... Who would feel romantically to me?

She glanced around then shook her head. This was weird. She hardly had friends let alone a romance. She had only met three boils, and as far as she knew not a single one really cared about her.

This was going to seriously bother her.

Knowing that a party of any sort was bound to attract two of his favorite creeple (and also that if he didn't get away from school work soon he would lose his mind, eat the books and possibly run around Amityville naked while singing lewd songs backwards - all things that would be fun, but bad), Ahm decided to check out the Casino Royale celebration. When he'd swung by the dorm room to change his clothes and dump his book his twin was no where in sight; he dumped his books gleefully, gave a few treats to the minis (to keep them from eating his books), stuffed a snack into his mouth and headed out.

The Grue had his gloved hands deep in his pockets as he followed the sound of music and the scent of comestibles, whistling and swishing his also-covered tail along the way.

Upon arrival he took in a bunch of semi-familiar faces - students - and made a bee-line to the food. The pinata wasn't something he was interested in (he'd demolish it, best leave that to others) but the food? And the stage? Yeah, he could get into both, quite easily. While Ahm was tossing snacks and drinks down - he was hungry, hungrier than usual for food and distraction - he noticed a very familiar face.

Actually, it was her backside he recognized first, but still. Bright plumage, soft fur, delicate scales...Merry. With a careless gesture he tossed his drink - container and all - into his mouth, crunched it down and swallowed it so he could go and greet the lovely chimera properly.

"Why hell~o Gorgeous~ Fancy meeting you here." Ahm came up behind her, fitting against her from behind once he knew she'd heard his voice (so she wouldn't think she was being accosted and strike out) and dipping his head down to kiss her neck. He didn't hold her tightly, not wanting to hurt her when she finally spun around to greet him with a kiss - as she often did.

"Yeah..." He'd sort of forgotten the drums when they'd been talking about to look for in a house. "Probably a good idea." This said as he pressed a kiss to the side of her head. She'd remember, add it to the list of things they needed in a house.

A smile was flashed to Yaya as she made an appearance. Marisa as well, but Seiji didn't know the boil well, not personally.

Mention of a gig drew his attention back to Roch. "Yes." It was automatic. A gig meant money. Seiji needed money. Besides, he loved to play, he just hasn't had much opportunity to as of late. If the band was getting back together? Jack yes, he was in. "Definitely."

-------

Yaya loosened her hold on her boilfriend so she could give Junko a long over due hug, laughing serenely as the scareling in her arms bellowed at them. "Precious child." A fingertip brushed one pudgy cheek.

Glowing eyes lifted to the reaper. "Is your sister around?"

She'd have known him by scent alone, and a pale hand settled on one of his before he'd fully settled against her. Wings had shifted, tail curling back around one thin thigh, and she in against the familiar lines of his chest as her head tipped up to receive the kiss. Drinking in the taste, the feel of his lips and strong, possessively protective arms.

When they parted she smiled up at him, and did indeed turn in his arms, her own coming up around his neck, and she pulled him down for another kiss, greedy, that ended in a n** to his lower lip.

"This is a surprise," she purred. "Didn't think we'd see you tonight." At least not before they'd returned to the dorms at the end of their night.

With a grin the ghoul drew back enough to see him, clothing and all, and shed give the edge of one neatly pressed lapel. "You're looking rather dapper tonight." He always did. Ahm was the more fashion concious of the two. Her own outfit was all short skirts and flouncy fabrics that drapped over her curves and left her back bare for her wings. A dark purple that boards red on black.

"YAAAYAAA!" the reaper ghoul jumped over her face painting table and raced through the crowd with her skirt flaring--just so she could hug the other ghoul from behind.

Tackle hug, go. "It has been too long!"

Junko nodded. She wouldn't forget. It would go on the list of 'must haves'. Smiling, she tilted her head into his kiss before turning to Yaya again. The hug was returned as best as one could with a scareling in her arms, and his sudden shout startled her. "Wha--" And then Roch commented on it. Junko blushed and looked back at the two boils before turning to Yaya and--sudden Yaya attacker!

Marosa grinned as he stepped forward and waggled his fingers at Roch, just for a moment. "Do ye want tae find out?" He didn't give him the opportunity to answer as he just hugged the reaper boil, ruffling his hair affectionately. "Nay, you won't catch cooties from me," The faerie murmured in humor as he pulled away.

"The bass guitar? Uh... oi dinnae if oi'm any good at that sort of thing." To be honest, Marosa didn't know if he was good at anything. He still had an unused guitar in his room that he hadn't touched in ages, he just liked the look of the thing because it was pretty. Because fey liked pretty things, and he was no exception. "Oi'm sure oi'd hurt yer ears with my horrible playin', bein' a newbie and all."

Glancing back to Yaya as she was pounced, he grinned again. "Looks like my ghoulfriend is the popular sort." His eyes turned to the youngling with a curious air. "How long have you had 'im? And who's the lucky other?" He didn't know much about Roch, but he considered the boil a good friend.

"That's my beautiful girl~" Her responses to the twins were so honest and delightful; Ahm found the stress of catching up on classes eking away in favor of Merry's merriment. Just being near her was a balm and joy, as always. Once she'd turned to face him, his hands settled against her lower back and hip possessively; the n** she gave him set his tail twitching like a cat with catnip - or an especially tasty bit of prey.

Ahm breathed deeply, she had the most intoxicating scent, she really did - a mix of her natural scent and, after so much time together, a hint of the twins too. "How could I resist? Spending time with my two favorite creeple or slogging through books with bad attitudes? No contest." As behind as he usually was thanks to Clan related business, he had to spend much of what would have been his 'free-time' studying, taking tests and otherwise being studious. Certainly he was a bit jealous that Nahm and Merry spent so much time together, but it wasn't because they spent time together - no, it was because he would rather be spending that time with them - at least away from school work.

Ahm soaked up her praise and reached up with one long-fingered hand to tuck a stray bit of hair behind her ear, "Why thank you Merry, but you must know you outshine us all." Another broad smile; she looked good enough to eat - as usual - even when she wasn't trying, her color and fabric choices flattered her lovely form. Mentally he made a note to send back home for a bit of shimmery, delicate fabric...it would make a lovely contrast against her scales while complimenting the brightness of her fur. Nahm wasn't quite as good with the delicate stuff as he was, but they would both enjoy the work.

"Speaking of surprises...has Nahm not showed up yet? Tsk tsk, to leave you waiting...what a naughty thing for him to do."

Bright eyes were lite, delight and that ever present heat, as she looked up at him. Pleased by his appearance, his compliment, and slid of gloved hands from her back to the small of her waist and down to rest at curving hips. For just a moment she let go of everything else, the room around them melting away. A very demanding part of the ghoul wanted to drag him away somewhere more private, where wandering hands could roam unseen and she could drink him down, but Merry resisted. Later.

He was a sweet talker, her Ahm. Silver tongued and witty. She beamed up at him, turning her head in against the brush of fingers as he tucked a curl behind her ear. "You make me shine," she countered, leaning into him again. "Stars only shine brightly in the dark." Poetic, especially from Merry.

"I could study with you. We have the same classes I think." It was something she'd been thinking about for a while. No reason why they couldn't, and it would let her spend more time with the elder grue, even if that time was spent with noses burried in text books. Finding enjoyment in something otherwise arduous. "I'm sure if I tired, I could get my schedule shifted around so we have class together even." Hands had crept up along hers shoulders again, but this time disappeared into his hood, fingers sliding along the back of his neck beneath dark curls.

Nahm's mention had her glancing up and towards the main does, but he wasn't there yet. Soon, she hoped. "He'll be around." Unless otherwise held up. "I doubt we have to worry over him." Trouble followed him, but he was usually the cause, and had an uncanny ability to slip away unawares.

With the beautiful chimera filling his senses, Ahm was content; certainly there was quite a bit of excitement happening around them - creeple singly and in groups, music, fortune telling and refreshments - but he was focused on her. "The dark is honored and pleased to enhance the beauty of the stars." As he spoke he dipped his head down so he could catch her plush lips in a soft, brief kiss. She tasted delicious, like some rare and expensive treat...only twice as heady and rich.

"Ah, that would certainly make studying more...interesting." He grinned, fingers kneading lightly at the small of her back as he thought about her extremely tempting offer. "I'd love that. I'll check into my schedule as well...it's fairly packed, but if I can shift a few things to make it match yours..." Oh yes, having Merry with him during class and working with him..that would be perfect.

If they could behave themselves more often than not.

Merry's fingers against his skin sent a shiver along his spine and he made an approving, appreciative sound. "Of course he will, he wouldn't leave you to your own devices for long. He knows better." Ahm knew better than most that Nahm could take care of himself; trouble followed the Grue twins like a favored pet and they were well used to dealing with said trouble.

"Would you like to get something to eat, perhaps? Or we could dance...the music's not half bad."

The ghost had almost moved out of the circle of activity that could still be considered part of the party when he noticed the pinata again. He had dismissed it the first time he had passed due to its dependence on beatings to elicit fun, but for all he knew, beatings were the best kind of fun. Better to try these things out and see for himself than rely on his unreliable assumptions.

He raised his arm, pondering the ways in which he might acquire a stick with the most dignity possible when one was shoved into his hand. Its meager weight forced him back onto his feet and he stumbled slightly, a distressed oh oh oh chirping out of him as he found his balance. No carrying things, unless he wanted to walk. Good to know.

The boil bowed respectfully, turning toward the suspended paper creature and lining up his hit, at least until a blindfold was tightly secured around his eyes. Right. He had seen others suffer through this treatment as well. He swung reflexively and prematurely, striking nothing but open air.

"Um. Sorry. Can I try that again?"

Meeting no resistance, the ghost drew himself up straight and tall, deliberately pushing aside his natural awkwardness for the first time since he had woken up. He squared his shoulders, lifted the bat over one of them, and swung. He missed. Again.

This time he was relieved of the pinata paraphernalia immediately. Even though he was a loser, at least he was floating again.

Kisses from the twins were like candy, and Merry never seemed to get enough. As another was offered she was rising up to meet him, a content purr humming through her chest as she leaned against him. From her own lips the poetic sentiment had sounded corny, but Ahm's silver tongue made it nothing but romantic, and she smiled up at him, charmed. If she accompanied them to their home she really would shine like a star, a wealth of white and color in the darkness of the tunnels. Well, save for the scarf they had made her.

"We can catch up to Nahm, then we'll all be on equal footing, have the same homework." It would make it easier to help Ahm stay ahead when he was still being called back by the elders so often.

A devilish grin slid along full lips. "He does indeed. There's no telling what sort of trouble I could get into while left to my own." She was, after all, every bit as devious as the boils. Nails tickled along the back of Ahm's neck again, gliding through soft curls as she tried to pull another shiver from the grue.

As for what they should? "Dancing." They could eat anytime, but how often did they find excuses to dress up a little or dance? They could snack later.
