He continued licking his paw slowly, pausing to turn on his side, tummy slightly up, and looking up at her. "You should make dresses you can wear. What happens when they critique you? Do you get a prize or one of those sashes?"
His tail curled lazily about him before he set to cleaning his paw again, thought this time slightly on his back. "What do you mean?"

His comment made her smile. Half her closet was stuff she had made to wear but this, this wasn't for her. Most likely the chances of her making something for herself was gone now. Every moment she had to sew was spent on studio work.
"I mean you seem very at home in someone's lap." She took the moment to reach down and pet the slightly exposed tummy. "Most strays, even guardians, seem to keep their distance unless they are awakening someone or looking for food."
Speaking of....
She reached down to scoop Arthur out of her lap and slip him onto the couch. With the coffee almost finished, Delilah needed to get the milk going. It would take a few moments, and some loud noises before she returned to the living room with two steaming lattes.
"Sugar or anything?"

Slipped off to the couch, Arthur rolled back to his stomach and then continued cleaning his shoulder. It was slow going, but he could feel some dirt give way.
"One spoonful please." He called back, reaching out and slowly kneading the couch cushions with his claws to make it more comfortable.
"I think most strays would do the same if someone was kind enough to give them a place to rest a moment and have some coffee. And you saved me. It's not like you're throwing rocks at me or sicking your dog on me." He slowly started to purr as he kneaded the cushions.

The ringing of metal on ceramics could be heard through the apartment as Delilah added the sugar to both their cups. Making her wait on light feet, she brought the cups down on the coffee table.
She herself took a position on the floor, leaning up against the armrest of the couch as she watched him 'make himself at home'.
"It's the least I can do. I don't like leaving someone out in the cold." Blowing on her drink, she began to take small sips. "Though I'm surprised you don't have a senshi you live with. Or even a knight. How long have you been doing this?"
She glanced over her shoulder at him, her hand reaching up to rub on ear.

He turned hsi head into the scratch, closing his eyes and continuing to knead the cushions with pure satisfaction.
"Hmmm?" He said dreamily. "A year I think.........alone.........been off and on before. Just when I felt something when someone passed by. Usually stayed home." He admitted, now fully leaning into the scatch before he perked up, eyes wide and dilating and shuffling back up to his feet.
Wiggling, he jumped up on the table, avoiding the dress as the cup jostled before, holding his breath, it settled back without tipping. Padding over, he curled about the cup, tucked his legs under himself, and started to lap up the coffee without any concern for how hot it was. His large tail flicked about behind him, in heaven.

Delilah just had to smile watching him enjoy the cup of coffee as she sipped her own. The feline was an odd one. Normally, she could not stand the guardians. They were useful, yes, but frankly, she did not find them helpful.
Arthur though made her smile. Maybe it was how he came off as careful while still appearing so feline. Or maybe it was the glasses. Still, she had to admit that he was kind of adorable.
"Aright, I'm going to excuse myself for a shower and to relook at the wound on my side. Will you be alright in here?" She motioned towards the living room in general as she stood up and began heading towards what was her bedroom and master bath. "If you need anything, just let me know."

Arthur licked his lips free of coffee before speaking. "I'll be fine. Clean up. I'll probably do the same. Thank you for the coffee." He said as he dipped down to savor his drink.
After she left, Arthir waited till he heard water before jumping down and finding the remote. It wasn't ling till he was sittin in the table watching As Days Go By, the local destiny soap, and drinking his coffee.
Aside from nearly dying, today was a good day.
