Nine  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine smiled and embraced his wife in a tight hug before letting go and moving away from her. He was unsure how she would respond to his method of escape and so he figured he had to hug her first, she always seemed to enjoy those human sediments. He began pacing slightly as he tried to find the best way to explain what had happened. Nine was smart, very smart, yet the choices he made were not always easy for others to accept and so he had to pick his words carefully. However Nine found there was no tactful way to explain what he had done and so he just explained. "Three months ago we all came to the conclusion that Lucian couldn't be killed easily. We chose to seal him away again. I knew that it would take years to deduce the proper runes we would need to imprison Lucian, unless we got the runes from him." Nine stopped pacing and turned to face Ten. "When he sent his men to capture me I knew they were under orders not to kill me. I put up a little fight so they thought I was unwilling, and then I let them beat me. I was curious to see how he would imprison me and the moment he put me in the dungeon I knew what I needed. I have spent the last three months studying the runes he uses to take the powers of his prisoners." Nine paused again to be sure Ten was keeping up with his explanation. "A few hours after I was put into the dungeon Eleven began sending agents to discuss an escape plan with me. We took care never to actually meet. When the invasion began Eleven came down and we went through with the plan to put it simply. Now he is knocked out on the dungeon stairway recovering from his regeneration."

 Ten Embraced her husband, she did love sentimental human interaction. Ten was that way even before they came in contact with the human’s. holding Nine was just something she enjoyed, it reminded her of her times with him in their home land. Back then, Nine knew things were getting rough, and he often shared what was going on with Ten, and when Ten was weaker, more scared as a young girl, Nine would comfort her--- his hands never got old.
As Nine slipped from her grasp and began to pace, she looked at him worrisome. He often did this when he was lying, his habits were something she knew well after a thousand years. But Nine wasn’t really lying, he was sugarcoating it for her motherly heart. He had done a good job, up until he spoke of regeneration.
“So we’re going to try and trap him in his own——Wait—What—WHAT!” Ten yelled at her husband, him and Eleven were always up to something that was mind boggelingly ridiculous. “REGENERATION! You and Eleven are just—Ugh! You two--- I can’t even!” Ten began to pace now as she tried to fathom the thought of her messed up small family. Son’s killing their father, father killing their son for an escape, mother betraying their father, she had sworn those two were two peas in a pod. “You killed Eleven!” She thought as she was worried an enemy around would hear and give away her son’s plan. “Did—is—ah—Errr!! If you hadn’t just saved me I’d—----punch you. Are his emotions reset then?” Ten had stopped pacing as she turned to look at her husband.
She had been thinking about eleven, and what Eleven had been doing. It made her think about her and Nine’s role in this, considering they were family to the other side. “Have you ever thought about joining your dad? Numbered Husband and wife, grandfather and Son. Your father would truly believe we would be the most untouchable force in the world.” Ten walked up to Nine and adjusted his hood as she brushed off his shoulder. She looked up at Nine and her eyes met with his. “Then we’d kill him.”

"Maybe some of his emotions but the complex ones will still escape his understanding. Regeneration doesn't fix us Ten, it just changes us. He chose to regenerate I tried to get him to run with me but he wanted to stay as Lucian's spymaster." nine explained in a calm manner. He had seen Ten angry and unless she meant to kill you this was about as bad as it got so he was no longer worried about how she would react. "Besides at this point it is really just father-son bonding. Wait till he learns he has the potential to travel through time. That bonding will probably include less of us killing each other." That was intended as a joke but Ten probably wouldn't consider it a funny one. Nine didn't really consider it funny either.
When Ten asked if Nine had ever considered joining Lucian Nine shut the idea down. "No. He would know we were up to something and would kill us just as he would kill any enemy who wanted something from him. In the last three months I have seen how his mind works from the confinements of his prison. We would never get close enough. "

Ten shook her head and Nine called it bonding between him and eleven. She was so glad they were on a level in their relationship where they could kill each other and walk away best friends.
Ten slid her hands around Nine's back and pulled herself closer to him. "What is your plan then? What do you need from me?" Ten looked up at him. She needed to be as helpful as possible in whatever way possible. She also began to think the last time Nine helped enhance any of her fighting abilities was hundreds of years go, and she was clearly outdated as she had fall at the hands of Gyouken within minutes. "The Zaibatsu has been seized. Lucian was already there, I don't know what he did to their king--but it's over for them."

"We find those willing to rebel. You aid them and as you do I will build a prison for him. Something to hold him until the new leaders pass their judgement on him. We just can't kill him." Nine said that they couldn't kill Lucian in an odd way. It didn't sound as if they couldn't do it, it sounded like he didn't want to do it. It almost sounded like he really didn't want Lucian to die. That was an odd thought though, why wouldn't Nine want Lucian dead? Regardless Nine continued "The Zaibatsu was bound to fall eventually. I may not have been around much in the last three months but I know that no one could prepare that land for Lucian in time to save it. Especially not the vestigial king that was put on the throne."

"I could list off every being as of right now who would rebel against him, my question is, are they still all alive?" Ten was unsure if Eon still was, If Ivy was, if Shu was. Their numbers were low. "We can keep them all hidden in the underground tunnel. When things calm down, I will go searching for them--But until I do, I'm going to head to the cave." Ten reached for her husband's face, gently touching his skin. "I'm glad you're safe. I was worried--" When was Ten not worried about her family though? It more than likely wasn't news to Nine that she had been, but she kissed him for a moment, then released him. He had things to do, he couldn't spend time with her, but when the war was over, she could be with him and eleven once again.
"Come find me when you have the chance? And this time, promise me if you need me, you will call me--" Ten said in a serious tone, last time he didn't call her, he wanted to be captured, but it would have been nice to have known his plan. He had a prison to build, and if he needed it, she could help him.

"We don't have to worry about getting them together but if you want to gather those who would rebel then feel free to." Nine said as he began walking away from Ten. He did have a prison to build. His original thought had been to simply put Lucian in the dungeon that nine had been in but Nine's escape was proof that the prison was flawed. Nine had to build a better one to contain Lucian. That didn't mean he would disappear as he usually did though. Nine had people to visit and aid. This war was his fault after all, entirely his fault. "And Ten, when you need me, at least try to call." With that Nine was gone.

"Smart a**" Ten mumbled as her husband rebutled her statement with the same statement.
"I always do--"As she released him and he went off, she would find him after she found anyone else left. It almost seemed pointless, apart of her rather just help him, but she listened. Disappearing as well, she headed back to his cave to watch over the land as Lucian invaded.
