You're not alone ;-; And ikr ;-; I mean, I joined last year, so I'm not that oldschool. But I've got really attached to Gaia... With zomg gone, I felt betrayed. I met friends here that I want to keep forever. Now, they're the only reason why I'm still here. I might just retire in the end of the year, tho.. Btw, get ready to have them playing with your emotions even more. D; It's Gaia, at the end.

Question : do you REALLY believe about these "critical vulnerabilities", or big bugs ? I asked and nobody can tell something about it. I seriously think they never existed and are only an false excuse for closing zOMG.
they are claiming that it was because they found a hole in the game code that could be exploited by hackers to steal accounts. honestly if it went unnoticed this long i dont think that anyone would have noticed especially concidering that the only way anyone knows about it now is because they blabbed about it

I remember when zOMG! first came out. Before then, most people spent their time in towns chatting. The original games are -well... out of date with the current economy. Without zOMG!, there really is not much to do anymore... Maybe some day, they will bring it back. Until then it appears that gaia is going to be sucking the cash out of us.
I read this. And I agree with everyone else its complete bull. I mean how was this not found 6 years ago? Or even 3/4 when DMS was put into place? How is it they are just finding it now? I have never wanted Gaia to burn and rot in my 7 years of being on as much I do now.
Good point. I totally forgot about DMS. You would think they would have picked up on something when installing that...

I believe it because things like this do happen. And after hearing about how much a simple site like Tektek.org costs- imagine how much zOMG is. I can see them not wanting to fix it due to insufficient funds (despite them saying that it had nothing to do with money) because we know they know how to fix it. Something had to make them decide it was not worth it.
No one would've not even known about that security problem with the servers if they had kept their mouths shut but no they had to let everyone and their mother know so know they do have an excuse not to bring it back to protect the intergity of their servers and our accounts. If they wouldn't have said anything no one would've known so they could have brought it back and only they were the ones who knew. I honestly don't believe that excuse though. I just think they didn't want to take the time to repair it or start over. I could've waited a while for zomg to be brought back no matter how long.
its bullshit. zomg and towns use the same engine. if zomg has an exploit so does towns, so why is towns still running?
