Currently, all of the Classic (v1) templates (Blocks, Grunny, and Custom) all display the same CSS as the "Classic" template. Could this please be fixed?
(It broke about a month ago when the site was going through the HTTPs upgrade)

I know this is extra but will html ever be available to customize or is it easily breakable? ;o;
HTML is generally not available because there are too many ways to cause harm if we open the coding up. To make it secure requires a lot of work and continued updates when new vulnerabilities are found, that's why we usually shy away form it. If there are any bbcode support you would like to see, please let us know!
After the events of the server crash yesterday, profile comments have been a tad bit broken and many of us were wondering what happened, as well as if it'll get fixed soon.
Uh oh, I thought I fixed that this morning. If it's still broken, please let me know and I'll make sure it's fixed.

Well, after Gaia went back online yesterday, notifications for profile comments didn't seem to be working at all; for instance, I'd gotten a message from a friend there and I wasn't ever told about it on the My Gaia page. Also, after submitting a profile comment an error pops up with this:
yet after reloading the page it seems the message had been sent? It's a little bit confusing. sweatdrop
I'll do more testing and make sure it's fixed after ATS. Sorry for the bugs.

Bug Profile themes are not being applied for some profiles.
Then I noticed mine doesn't have the theme applied either, and I hadn't touched my profile in a long time. After editing, removing, changing template, it's nothing fixed the problem.
We made some security fixed but that might had broken some profiles. It'll be fixed right after ATS.
The recent visitors is still broken on profiles is that on your list by chance? It'll show a person sometimes for like a minute but then it just wipes clean again. I miss when it showed everyone that visited in the last like 3 days.
I didn't know that's broken sweatdrop Will look into it later this week.

As I've asked for the past 2 weeks, the recent visitors box seems to be broken still on profiles. It shows a name for like a minute then it vanishes and remains blank. A fix would be great.
That bug is on my list, hopefully I'll get to it soon if no bigger bugs get in the way.
Feature Change Gaia has long since used BBCode. BBCode is relatively archaic on the internet now. Would you be willing to migrate from BBCode to markdown? Especially given that you’re using TinyMCE for the mobile app, but the converting the WYSIWYG HTML to BBCode (and then back to desired HTML?). Markdown examples with TinyMCE https://www.tiny.cloud/docs/plugins/textpattern/
 This comes to mind often when I want to use the CODE tag, but inline. There’s no inline, but there’s also no syntax highlighting (JS, PHP, Python, Java, etc).
Obviously this would be a fairly big project since many areas that accept user content allows for BBCode. So I’m not saying it should be the next big project, but maybe sometime this year? 3nodding
I've been looking at Markdown a lot, and I like the simplified syntax more than the lengthy bbcode. I can implement a backend that can decode both types of markdowns, hopefully it won't be too much of a burden on the servers.

Profile Bugs Do you have any plans to fix the crippling bugs with the Current profile template system? Or... better yet, scrap both existing profile templates and create a new singular profile template?
The aged system need to be revamped, unfortunately we have a lot on our plate, and we probably won't get to profile system for a while.

Late last week, all(or most) of NPC's profiles have been blocked from user access. Why?
Some of the NPC profiles had stuff on them; like the Zurg profiles and Gambino's Memorial. Now users are blocked off from being able to see the profiles or being able to post comments on them- And that's a huge bummer for a lot of us. Especially when character data and their journals were there. Now we can't access it.
NPC's profiles are always really interesting; and the blocked access just kinda.. breaks the immersion. Because right away there is a barrier there, and they don't feel like interactable NPC's or tangible residents of the site. They just feel like robots that can be turned on or off.
This was especially a problem with Flarn. Once he returned in 2016, his profile access was blocked and his account was botted. And it broke the immersion entirely. I just don't agree with NPC profiles being blocked. I'd like to see the permissions restored.

We increased security on profile pages so that banned accounts cannot keep their contents running, unfortunately we mark all NPC accounts as banned to avoid any chance of those accounts being hacked. That issue had just been fixed.
Can you change the profile media panel to use the HTML5 player — the same output as the YOUTUBE tag — and be expanded to allow YouTube playlists?
Okay, will look into updating the video player in profiles.

We had a library that was used for inserting video in the forums which was brought over to profiles, but we will definitely look into updating it as well as disabling auto play.

I have a friends account named Athearn that seems to still have been targeted for the profile glitch. Is there any way this can be fixed?

It's not specifically a glitch causing the issue but we are looking into getting this issue resolved for accounts such as Athearn's. Hopefully we will have a solution A.S.A.P.

Hello i'm here on the Behalf of a friend . For the past several weeks and possibly before I buddied this particular person .
My Gaia friend ensomare has been having a wobbly profile problem ! . Her profile can either not be entered by herself or I , or it does work but it's Very slow . On the very rare occasion it has loaded normaly ?
She gets a 504 Error come up

Assuming your friend's profile is (this one), I don't have any trouble accessing it. There could be issues with multiple videos being loaded but that needs more debugging. Please open up the "developer console" on your browser, hit the "network" tab and let us know what errors you see, any files not found errors or any URL that takes a long time to load.
504 errors usually means one provider cannot access the destination. That could be caused by routing issues, firewall issues where some sites are blocked, or if the Gaia load balancer or firewall has problems. Knowing which particular file or URL encounter this problem is helpful also.
