June 14th, 2016: Narumi Misuhara AOSEl FeatureAre there any big updates planned for the Avatar Builder anytime soon? I've left feedback in the Dressing Room's feedback thread with such high hopes... Possibly, especially now that we got it stable again. What were some of your ideas? Narumi Misuhara houjun-san Features Is there a requirement for the browser to use the avater builder? Beacause on my laptop it just keeps loading when I search for items. I tried on both mozilla and chrome. I believe it utilizes some JQuery so whatever the minimum requirements are for the JQuery library.

They currently aren't in the system as equips so it isn't possible to test out a different skin than the one that our current avatar is using. Sometimes you want to try out something new, but without changing your displayed avatar right away. We'll take a look into this and see what we can do!

Because the last time I used it before it became unavailable, it was very hard to pinpoint specific keywords (ie. one shoulder armor or pauldrons). I think it's better if it goes to a new category: Armor or Shoulder. Yes this is something we'd like to update.

I know 100 seems like alot right now but for those of us who make avatar outfits on a daily basic sure could use the extra space without having to delete other outfit slots. December 20th, 2016: lanzer Hello Gaians! A few of our staff members are already on vacation so we're hosting a mini ATS session today. We are a little short handed so answers will be more sparse than usual. Let's sit back, relax, and get this ATS started!!! A few little updates on my end: - Still taking all my time talking to all staff members and reading through Site Feedback. Getting a good idea on what are the biggest issues to tackle starting 2017 [...] - Also testing a new feature to mark other avatars as favorites. It's also being tested now.

Not really a good reliable way :/ lanzer II CASPER Il features: avatar liking can we please get an opt out i dont want to be favorited? or can we get a list of users who want out and then write a code for those accts the act would have to be a one time thing and permanant so can we get an opt out? or something equivalent I'll add user preferences with the update to display equipped items. User preference across the site is a little bit more involved so it'll take more time to implement.

Sometimes when I report sexually explicit avatars to the mods the person with that avatar will change outfits so they get away with it. It's not fair, they broke rules they should be punished accordingly. With a report avatar button the avatar could be screenshotted by Gaia and sent to a report queue then it can be dealt with. Just to back up my claim further I suggest you take a gander at a few of these avatars from the Seven Deadly Sins runway ahem not all of them are bad but there are a few that really push it. Can you look into doing this? ...This is why we can't have nice things... ...yeah we can take a look this.

Yeah I have a project with better item tagging which works with avatar builder. It's on the list too! Lanzer bluecherry FeaturesFavorites. You mentioned in your journal, lanzer, that things you learned about search functioning doing the search feature for favorites may be used to improve upon searching for items. Are you aware of the short comings of the current favorites feature search results though? Right now, if you search for a hash tag, results get unnecessarily bumped to second or third or further pages while irrelevant results also show up along with partial results or completely irrelevant results showing up also before full matches to search terms. For example, if I search a username with "the" at the start, I may get other stuff with tags involving "the" showing up before the full username I put into search. I'd like to be sure all the kinks are ironed out before this search is used on something like improving item searching, something that I desperately want improved. Also, side note, there's plenty of broken images I'm coming across in favorites right now. ninja There are some options for the search engine that I still need to use. Hope it'll function better after some fine tuning. I'll need to look into the broken images. Not sure why that's happening. Lanzer devils lettus Featuresi've been curious as to why nobody really explains why avi builder is always going down. for the most part you guys are great at letting us know what you're working on when you disable a feature but with the avi builder it's like there's not always a warning and sometimes its down for months. i'm not in any way mad, i guess i'm just trying to say that we like it when we're in the loop on what's going on. There is actually a bug where avi builder will let you try out items before they're released. We need to fix that bug then we can leave it up and running all the time.

February 21st, 2017: Lanzer bluecherry FeaturesFavorites Lanzer, would you please reconsider allowing people to delete avatars from other people's favorites or prevent people from favoriting their avatars? People's avatars are public. Everybody can see them already anyway. Favoriting is simply a much more convenient way to do something people have already been doing for ages - saving and hosting images of avatars they come across that they like. Removing avatars from favorites or preventing them from being favorited just means now we can't keep everything in one place anymore, some avatars have to be screen-shotted again, which is a big deal for keeping pictures of favorite avatars, keeping them together, not having them all scattered about. If you can't save some avatars with favorites, it's back to the drawing board, pain stakingly screen-shotting and uploading everything so you don't lose avatars or have them all over the place and hard to keep track of. Being able to prevent people from favoriting your avatar strikes me like asking that you be able to prevent people from subscribing to your threads. I don't see anybody upset that their threads can be subscribed to and asking for a way out of that. Or getting their posts tipped either. I don't mind people not wanting to use it themselves, it's just thwarting other people from favoriting avatars that I'm opposed to. I am in favor of people opting out of ranking if they want. I have no problem with people wanting to turn off notifications, have an account setting to hide the heart symbol from showing up next to people's avatars, and remove the "favorites" thing from the drop down menu bar under "my Gaia" in account settings too. I'd even go so far as being ok with letting people have their username hidden when somebody favorites their avatar, though even that seems a bit silly as your username is publicly shown with your avatar already. I just want to be able to save any avatar I come across into my favorites and have it publicly viewable. Right now, this feature is dead to me and that's such a shame because I really, really loved it. I've already stopped using the feature altogether because though I can't be prevented from adding stuff so far, anything can just suddenly poof out of my collection at any moment and get lost. I'm back to just manually saving images and uploading them. I understand that this is a heated subject with Gaian on both sides who love and hate being seen. I'm working on the next update for favorites on the side right now, and will add some user preferences at the same time. I'll add a privacy option so users avatars, when favorited, will not be shown to public, but Gaians can still keep a private collection, not any different than saving the actual image. Lanzer Sifen Yamishi FeaturesRegarding Favorites, some users and myself have noticed that we're unable to see some of our own avatars in people's collections/our own tagged avatars. Is this a glitch? Most likely. If there are specific ones, please provide me the URL of the collections and I'll look into it.
