Short IC Response: Keely edged around the swamp as she walked around it. She had met a nice mare there once, but wasn't in any mood for company today. Earlier this day she had already run in with a strange stallion and had soon come to regret it. As in any male, he was pig-headed and stupid. No use to the pony-race or nature in general. Ever since being betrayed by her lifemate and the stallion she considered a father, she had come to feel this way.

She kicked a bit of mud out of her way as she sighed. Would all males come to disappoint and upset her? If only there was a male out there she could trust. She let her mind wander to when she had first popped from her basket. Seeing two empty baskets beside her. The only other ponies around where a fuzzy mare and a small male like herself. The male had stared at her and shook his head as if she was to make no noise. The fuzzy mare had been draging him off as she walked away from a pool of red on the ground.

If there had been one male who she could trust, she bet it would be her brother. The one she had only glimpsed once, and yet she now knew had saved her life. She came out of her memories to a dark sky. As she looked around, she saw the swamp was behind her. She had been doing that a lot lately, zoning out and having no recollection of where she had been.

She looked to the sky to see if the stars could help guide her to somewhere she knew more than this. Just a glimpse of a shooting stars tail whipped across the sky as her eyes turned to the stars. A shooting star? Her lips twitched up for a second as she remembered what Ironforge would have called it. A wishing star.

Maybe it was time to free some of the hate in her heart. It had been over a year now since she ran away from the happy life she had known. Using a wishing star might be a good start. She puffed out her cheeks and gave in.

"................Uhh...." Not that she even knew how to start a wish to a wishing star. "Uhh... Dear wishing star.... If you could possibly, I'd like to see my brother again." She supposed that would be good enough. She took the one thing left of her past she had and left it on a rock that laid beside her. She turned, and walked away. Walking away from the tuft of Ironforges fur she had kept. Now there was nothing to connect her to the happy times she had once known.

Short IC Response: She stands quietly on the hilltop in the middle of the dark night. Her head was hung low with her eyes tightly closed as she fought the emotions that threatened to tear her heart apart, the tears resting on her lashes glistened in the moonlight. How long has it been? When will her soul finally rest from the grief she has endured for so many years after losing the only family she had ever really known? Dodie lifted her head, slowly opened her teary eyes and prayed to the bright star. "I...I know...it's been far too long since I last saw him. The chances...that he survived...it's impossible, but I refuse to believe that I've lost him too." She quickly tucked her head and stuck her nose into the feathers in the caplet, trying to muffle her cry before softly whispering, "Please...shine your light for me. Bring my daddy home..."

Sirius is very serious about most things in the world. Though he knows how to have fun when the time calls for it. He is also very generous and kind to anyone who may need his help. He isn't above getting dirty to help others. Though not very social, he does enjoy simply resting next to another.

Ysiel looked up at the familiar star. Often she had watched it gaze down upon the herd while on her nightly patrol. She loved to stargaze which is why she often chose the night shift. As a guardian of the Vitterfolk she didn't have as much time in raising her children and already they had come and gone. Still, her daughter was here and would become the new leader of the Vitterfolk when Malis stepped down. While she was proud of her daughters growth, especially in these hard times, she had a yearning to hear the patter of little hooves once more. Looking up at the star once more, a thought took seen within her mind. Maybe she should ask the spirit of the star. If it was meant to be, maybe she could have a child once more. This time, the 'gryph thought to herself, she would make sure she had time to spend with her children.

Journeying to the edge of the WillowGlen territory, Ysiel looked up once more and placed a delicate necklace upon the ground. "Dear spirits of the wishing star. I have a dream of children once more. Please, if I am worthy, can you grant me such a thing? I'd be much grateful and honored." She looked around slightly and gathered a few flowers near by to place around the necklace and fashion a quick alter. "Thank you for listening." Ysiel bowed her head once more and then walked off to continue her rounds.

Short IC Response: There had been a lull in the attacks. After pushing Solemn out of their territory, rescuing his children and raising them to be productive members of the herd she had spent the time to bolster the defenses and take care of internal matters. The new additions to both herds , training her grand daughter along side the future leader of the WillowGlen on the important aspects of the position, helping Rynn with Warlock and organizing the large storytelling event within their territory; Malis had hardly any time for herself. Still, the troll matriarch took pride in her work and didn't let anything slip. Upon the return of her great grandson, Atal'rin with his new mate, who soon was blossoming after, she had been reminded of her own youth when she had first birthed Sen'jin and his siblings. The stallion had grown into a respectable character who she could be proud of and even Tai'jin had surprised her when she returned. Though, sadly Vol'Tuuli had proved to be a bad egg, it only reinforced the message that Kalona had bad blood within' them and she would make sure to protect the herds from both 'wakers and kalona.
She found herself upon one of the highest look-out points of the WillowGlen herd lands. Glancing up towards the sky, the spirits were talking to her within the leaves of the trees. They seemed excited about something and her gaze fell upon the brightest star in the sky. She remembered how Nekali had held that Atal'rin was a gift from the spirits. It seemed that way with his ethereal nature and lack of eyes. Her mind wandered, what if the spirits could give her another child? She had not heard from Kifo for so long, and then they found evidence of his potential demise. Immi had tried to persuade her to take a new mate but that went against everything she had learned as a foal. She mulled over the idea of looking for a new mate. With Marli'el almost ready to take up the mantle of leading the Vitterfolk she could always settle down into the background and find someone to raise a new family with. She was still young yet in her soul.
In her mind she asked the question, though she did not utter the words. Maybe the spirits would see fit for her to step down and go back to her roots. If they answered and gave her a sign, it would be interesting to see Marli take up the reigns. Breaking off a claw from her necklace she laid it down with a feather as a gift. If the spirits answered and gave her a child, it was meant to be. If not, well, she would continue to lead the Vitterfolk and protect the WillowGlen herd from anything that may threaten them. with a slight smile and a nod, she shook out her thick dreads and made her way back to the center of the forest where her family resided.
