January 3rd, 2017: lanzer iBarracus hey lanzer! it's good to see you here again =). if i were a software engineer i would be glad to work for free for your team to help this community =D my question is simple: when gaia labs will be updated with new features to test? No lab features in the near future. Anything we work on will be actual features right off the bat. I hope that we'll get to the point where engineers will get to introduce new ideas on their free time.

For example: pay GC to advertise our guilds/shops/services banner ads on pages of Gaia? ^^ We actually had something like that back in 2008 or so I think, that system didn't get used much. Will probably need to come up with something better

February 28th, 2017: Lanzer DankStylo Will the site have any major updates in the future? (I.E. Removal or Addition to Car, Aquarium, House, Marriage, Etc. features) If not, could you reconsider adding new things to these topics? As we update features one by one, it'll be a fact that all other features will sit on the waiting list. There is a priority on what features will be updated earlier than others, but that all depends on what Gaians vote for. Though for the time being, we still have a few big issues to tackle and fix. I hope we'll get to that point soon.

I also remember that theater feature that existed with YouTube and all...wish those could make a comeback.They were one of the big reasons I signed up to be honest. We no longer have the rights to steam the copyright videos from back in 2010, and would require new license to do so. If the theater would make a comeback it would be youtube content only. I do want to revisit bringing back theaters. Just need better moderation features to avoid the bad content.

It'll be the currency in your setting, so person B will be paying in Balloons but person A will get gold. At any point any user can switch currency and things and nothing will break.

We don't have a solid timeline yet but it's really close. Hoping to have to ready for testing this month. When it's ready, there will be an option to switch currency back and forth in your account settings page. Lanzer Castiel Lover New CurrencyCan you please explain to me how switching currency does anything to fight inflation? Especially when it's optional, which will give some users a disadvantage if they switch when the rates have been changed. It doesn't address the problems of thousands of items being worth nothing and also thousands of items being scarce or extremely expensive. It also runs the risk of massive abuse, where users can switch to the smaller numbers, sell off a lot of 1 gold items for a larger chunk of money, and switch back to have even more gold than if they'd sold it while still on the gold currency. ... It's just a really bad idea and I fear it hasn't been thought through. The detail to how the combination of the global granting system and new currency will affect inflation is a bigger topic, but the key aspect here is that we wish for Gaians to be able to be able to earn the amount of gold for item in the marketplace. A little like the real world, job wages matches inflation so people can still afford stuff. There will be things such as minimum denomination requirement when the system is up. Even if it's not there, the potential abuse is not going to be worth people's time as it's easier to earn through posting in the forums. Those aspects had been tackled in the first few weeks of planning.

We will probably have SCAS testers run the feature for a few weeks when it's ready, and we will make an announcement by then. It should be about 4 weeks away.

For now we are using a different technology and migrating everything over will be slow and labor intensive. Though the move might not happen till next year. You'll see all listing no matter what currency the seller posted in, and they'll be displayed in the currency that you've chosen. Is he still going to take periodic feedback on projects for the larger projects? I'll be putting a list together later, though right now there's still a lot to fix on the new currency project, and there's a ton left to do for Gaia Mobile. Hope to free up some time soon!
