"I'd say so." Jordan watched Cee answer her message, noticed the little warm smile, said nothing about it. He leaned his head back on the wall again, closed his eyes, smiled gently. "I'm good," he said. "You go on. Thanks."

"Don't be jumpin off the roof er nothin. Unless you text me first and I'll come out ta film it." She grabbed his arm a moment, pressing her lips to Jordan's cheek.

"I got a itch you can't scratch though." Cee chuckled, using him to push herself up to her feet. She bobbled, but only on account of her heels, and smoothed her clothes.

"Hit me up later. Fer a mission or somethin.." And then she turned, stashed her tiny bottle, and headed out. She was already back on her phone, making arrangements.

"Not tonight," Jordan said peacefully, and smiled up at Cee as she got up. "Have fun."

He watched her go, listened to make sure she wasn't going to fall down the stairs -- not, he thought, that he was steady enough to be particularly helpful if she did, but he'd try -- and once the sound of her heels had faded, turned his attention back to the sky.
