"No, but we ran into a few at the tower." He shrugged, slowly, thinking about it. His expression was quiet as he took in Zeke's pile of books, and absently, he turned the bottle at his side. Considering. He hadn't even had that much, yet, but he also hadn't eaten since before he left. It was enough to blur thoughts around the edges. "I was about to go into the Halloween section of the library. I have a stack of myths, I want to see if I can find anything that corresponds..." maybe he'd take a bit and look up Fear candy, too. And see if he couldn't find that creature, in the process.

Tower was filed away to be brought up again at a later date. More questions he wanted to ask, but held onto. He wondered if Ever even realized. Not that his knowing influenced the consideration one way or another. "I would imagine there would be a lot of overlap. Myths are usually based on some reality, no matter how strange." Something to think about in a new light, given that a large majority of what he had always been led to believe as fantasy, was in fact, reality. He let his attention fall back to the line of Ever's leg, just watching his hand moving back and forth over pale skin. Given the nature of their relationship, not touching him felt strange.

"I'm sure." Ever had just been approaching myths as true for hunters. He was quiet another moment and then gave in to another gulp of alcohol before hunting for the lid so that he could set it aside. Restraint. Kind of. Except that he'd still downed a considerable amount very quickly on an empty stomach. "You still haven't gone ashore I'm guessing." Which mean Zeke probably didn't have any crackers or anything. Ever caught his shoulder and used it to lever himself back up to sitting and then, from there, standing -- still clutching Zeke to keep himself upright. "We should find food."

"Not as of yet, no." A curious glance met Ever's efforts to pull himself up with the help of his shoulder for leverage, and he reached out out almost automatically to catch his arm, steadying him as he righted himself and climbed somewhat unsteadily to his feet. Turning, he dropped his legs to either side of Ever's, and drew him back to site on the bed, back to Zeke's chest, and a tanned arm slung loosely around his stomach. "There's food here, I got in the habit of stocking up so I wouldn't have step away from my work." If it was food the Lifer was hoping for, Zeke had quite a number of various snacks in the top drawer of his desk. If he wanted to stretch his legs, that was another thing altogether.

Whatever Ever's plan had been, the second Zeke tugged him back he went, apparently tipsy enough to succumb without argument. He puffed out a breath as he sat, peering around the room, and then settled in slowly. Not relaxed, but not arguing, either. "Whatever you have, then. I threw up, on the pavement, and I hadn't eaten much..." Ever couldn't really afford to lose much weight, either. He folded his arm's over Zeke's and halfway closed his eyes. His nap couldn't have been that long, if he was still tired.

What tension remained in the tall, pale body was noticed. Zeke frowned, and a long breath came out warm against the back of the other man's neck. Not quite a sigh. He didn't have the first clue how to properly help Ever deal with what he had seen, but he was at least trying. "I have lots, do you want salty or sweet?" The room was small, he could lean around Ever and reach the hand of the drawer, pulling it out to reveal the plethora of goodies hidden within. There were chips in multiple flavors, crackers, peanuts, and a few varying sorts of candy bars. There was also a few bottles, water, Gatorade, and a half full coke that probably didn't have much left in the way of carbination. He looked back up to Ever's face, watching his profile as eyes began to droop, half lidded.

Ever wasn't fussy, so he blinked at the selection for a moment before grabbing what was nearest: bag of chips. He fumbled to open it, still settled back into Zeke's arms, and shoved one into his mouth before offering the bag to share. He was still, perhaps, a bit too serious. But maybe, now, it was just tired. He chewed, slowly, and half-turned his head to look at Zeke. "You have a lot of stuff in your room, you know?"

He was ready, if needed, to open the bag Ever fumbled with, but the Lifer got it open on his own. As the first chip disappeared with the accompanying sound of soft crunching a bit of tension eased from Zeke's arms. He leaned, lightly, against Ever's back, and lowered his chin to rest on the other man's shoulder. The comment made his smile, and it was normal and welcome. "I know. I like to be prepared." It just made sense to him to keep snacks and beverages in his room, so he didn't have to leave his room every time he experienced a hunger pang.

"Maybe I need more things." He didn't sound sure about it, though, eyes dragging over the books and the personal touches and considering just how little he had. Eating slowly, he blinked back at Zeke, and then puffed out a breath. He was being crazy, right now, and Ever knew it. "...let me finish these and then sleep." And maybe he'd be better when he woke.

Ever had relaxed, at least his body had, but he still didn't sound like himself. Normal, that's what he'd asked for, that's what Zeke would give him him. There was the faintest rasp of stubble as he moved his chin against the other man's shoulder. For a moment his lips moved against pale skin. "Do you want more things?" Ever had the money, the ability to go anywhere, few things were really out of his reach at this point, if he really wanted them. "Eat as much as you want. Help yourself to a drink, too. If you want." Whatever would help. He didn't know what else to do. Well, one thing had seemed to pull Ever's mind away from whatever it was he'd seen, when he'd paused in his room. Warm fingers came up in a light touch against the back of the Life's head, sliding through pale hair, then massaging gently.
